I had no issues with the location that I picked up the vehicle from - the Ingleside grocery was the only place that was helpful at all. This survey is worthless, because it does nothing to capture my actual experience. No one from Uhaul confirmed my location for pick up, and when I showed up to the location on the contract, there was no truck for me. Uhaul found this location where I picked up a short 25 mile $43 Uber away. The $50 "guarantee" they gave me back is pretty worthless compared to the money I spent getting there and the 2+ hours of my time wasted by Uhaul. No one I spoke to at Uhaul seemed to care that my experience was poor.STEPHEN H.

Mirrors were not tightened down so they would not stay in position. Had to find tools to fix myself. Lower mirror actually fell out. The owner was on a personal call while I was checking in so very distracted, did not come out to help at all so had to locate truck hook up car trailer by myself in the dark. Gas tank was empty (41 miles to E) but the paperwork showed 1/4 tank so lost money filling it up. Owner also made me very uncomfortable flirting with me while his wife was on the phone.Doina B.

The Uhaul was on empty and only had 30 miles until completely empty just enough to get to a gas station. I had to wait almost an hour for the Uhaul â€œdealerâ€ to take a shower and come to work. The woman working at counter didn't handle Uhaul reservations and couldn't help me. They tried to charge$ 683.00 instead of 643.13. I was given the price of 543.13 with tax via online check in on Uhaul website. Paying in cash is $100 deposit. I can add. $543.13 plus 100 is not 683. I called the Uhaul representative in Raleigh for help and she spoke with Uhaul dealer what he was telling her is not what he was telling me and representative become aggravated and rude with me when I told her of the discrepancy in conversation. This is the second time I've had an unprofessional experience with Uhaul. I was at this location for an hour and half after having to drive 45 minutes out of my way because Uhaul couldn't accommodate my reservation in the town I was moving from. Uhaul might come in under competitive prices but the hassle is not worth it. I'll be going elsewhere in the future.DEBORAH B.

The man at the counter was sleezy and made weird wink faces as he looked at my drivers license. The tail lights did not work and the passenger side wheel well cover did not go down for easy access. When I returned it there was no one at the gas station and the door was locked. I waited around for over 20 minutes and no one opened the doors. I unloaded the trailer and left it there hours before my return time. I called later to make sure they knew it was there and he was very rude. He also charged me for three days when I picked it up. I was charged a separate fuel charge of $25.50 even though it was returned with 1/4 tank which was even less than what it had when I received. Then the clerk told me to deal with corporate to get the charge taken off and he refused to close out the rental unless I paid the fuel charge or talked to corporate. I will never rent anything from uhaul again in the futureDavie N.

Truck was on empty when I picked it up, I had to put $50 in the truck at the stores location where I rented it from before I could even get on the road with it. When I returned it at another location they told me that where I rented it from had put on the contract that there was 3/4 tank when I picked it up which it wasnt so they decided to charge me an extra 117.46 for gas?!?!?! Like wth, I will be getting my money back and will never do service with these people again.DEVON M.

The pickup experience was very frustrating. For starters, the cost was nearly 50% higher than my reservation with no explanation. Additionally, I asked for a dozen furniture blankets and was given none. I was also asked to hook up the trailer myself. When I later inquired about adding insurance, they offered no help at all. The time I was told to pick it up was unavailable. So I had to come back 4 hours later and pressed on time for a 12 hour drive. 1 of the ramps was only held in by a cheap bungee cord, 1 of the safety chains rubber piece was missing to hold the car in place and the electric plug was corroded and 2 of the back tires were low and brake fluid was almost out and had to be added to out of my own pocket. Would not recommend this place.WILLIAM K.
It appears that U-haul is a secondary concern for this location. Was left to hook up the car trailer and load it on my own. Wheel straps did not reach around tires. The location did not have extensions. The owner recommended two things that he had in his store neither of which would have worked. I had to go and purchase extensions elsewhere. Overall it took over three hours to leave the location with truck and trailer. Far different experience than renting from an actual U-haul location.David F.

This location was picked by a Uhaul representative and it was NOT convenient for me. From the location I was coming from initially, it was an hour down a very narrow and curvy road. From my final destination it was another hour through curvy and busy roads. I would have liked another option, 30 miles of highway would be easier than 19 miles of curvy 2 lane back roads. I will not be reserving a uhaul again, I will just call around and find one myself somewhere convenientJason W.

Do not rent a uhaul from these guys. They charged my credit card twice for 300. Then told me my card didn't go through. Told me I would have to pay cash.I payed cash and the guy didn't want to give me a receipt. Only after asking multiple times he finally hand wrote me a receipt and signed it as Sammy. Idk if that was his real name but I know Sammy is the store owner. After I brought the uhaul back they told me that I would have to pay extra for gas,they said that I brought it back with less gas than I got it. And that wasn't true, I have the photos to prove it. And to add insult to injury they charged me an extra 175.40 on my card. When I called uhaul it shows up as i only paid 262 cash. So now im out 36 dollars plus the extra 175. Worst experience I've ever had in N.CMARTIN G.

I replaced the gas in the uhaul, to the exact place it was when I first rented the uhaul, but was still charged $15 for gas. I even had a picture of the gas needle and showed the man. He said I was being charged anyway. So I was charged double for gas! The truck was dirty and had dog hair in the front also.Mandy A.

There was a dent on the front bumper that was not marked with X's. This caused my a lot of stress and I was charged $768. But then Ingelside said they knew about the dent and the charge was removed. So it ended as a happy story but it would have been perfect if Ingelside had just marked the dent.CARL M.

We needed the trailer to pick up some furniture, when we got there it took about 45 minutes to check in. No one was there we were the only ones and it still took that long. When we get to finally hook up to the trailer it was full of wet leaves dirt spider webs and was just nasty. I cleaned it out and used it because it was the only one they had and I had an appointment and didn't have time to change anything. I saw a sign saying if it was dirty when I returned it there would be a $15 charge. So maybe I should get $15 back for having to clean it to even use it? I talked to a rep through the U-HAUL website live chat and when I explained what happened the only thing they said was â€œDid I tell the person that it was dirty? I told her they were standing there and saw it and saw me cleaning it and after said I was good to go and walked off. She then said okay I will put a note in. And that was it. So all in all the trailer done what I needed it to but it was definitely a headache and I probably won't be using them again.Jonathan R.

The area that this location is in does not have good Verizon Cellular internet service so it is slow and inefficient for booking on the Web. It tried to charge me Twice for the rental and for 28K miles of driving and i had to retake photos! The owner of the store was cooperative though.Bill C.

I called to make reservation and they said everything was set to pick up in the town i was needing and dropping of in the town where we were unloading. Got a call the next morning from the uhaul place They had scheduled to tell us they were not open on the day we needed to pick truck up and it was in a different town 25 minutes away. I called back to fix it. They finally got it scheduled where it was suppose to be picked up in first place. Nice lady at the pick up spot. Truck had a cracked windshield and the back hadnt been swept out. Truck drove good. No problems with it. Looked at reciet to see if the place we needed to turn it back into allowed drop off after hrs. The receipt said we were suppose to drop it off in the next county over. Called again and explained the situation. I was told that she had down the place that we wanted as the right address . With all the other glitches we decided to drop in off to a live person. We dropped truck off and the man told us that it was showing that it was suppose to be dropped off in the other location, (next county over) then tryed to put it through a second time and it went through. Friendly staff but the glitches in maybe the computor program made the move more stressfull.Betty lou L.

You need to put in cruise control drove almost 12,000 miles have bad knees really sucked. If you don't put it on trucks will look other companies that have cruise. As of they person pickup up from what a great guy would get a truck from him anytime. Loved his personality great person.John R.
