This location is above average, BUT, the access to the U-Haul computer system and selection screen items seemed to be a problem for them! NEARLY 40 MINUTES TO GET ON THE ROAD, AND ANOTHER 40 MINUTES TRYING TO RETURN THE VEHICLE!! MY TIME IS WORTH SOMETHING TOO FOLKS!! There were 2 of the Ford Cargo Vans, and one OLDER Chevrolet Cargo Van, GUESS WHICH ONE I GOT???? Not real happy about that. The Chevy cargo van pulls to the right. The ride was fine, but having to fight the steering on heavy traffic freeway was nerve racking. I was told the fuel tank was full. IT WASN'T! About 7/8, but I had t return it full tank! Not fair. ALSO>>>> I FULLY RESENT U-HAUL *** SPAMMING *** MY PHONE'S MESSAGE BOX WITH GARBAGE TEXTS! ESPECIALLY SINCE I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE MINUTES!!! U-HAUL OWES ME $2.00 FOR THE MINUTES YOU USED UP, AND ABOUT $7,00 FOR THE ADDITIONAL FUEL I HAD TO PUT IN OVER AND ABOVE WHAT WAS IN THE TANK WHEN I STARTED OUT!!! THEY SAID <<<< FULL >>>> ***** IT WAS NOT FULL ***** AS FAR AS i AM CONCERNED U-HAUL ALSO OWES ME FOR MY WAIT TIME GETTING A VEHICLE I RESERVED VIA THE INTERNET, AND THE LONG WAIT TIME TRYING TO RETURN IT, AND GET HOME AFTER A LONG LONG DAY! OH YEAH, ALMOST FORGOT, ALTHOUGH THE VAN WAS CLEAN, IT HAD ANIMAL FUR ON THE SEATS!!! THERE ARE PEOPLE ALLERGIC TO THAT YOU KNOW!!!!

I was charged extra mileage because the dolly to tow my car was not available at the same time as the truck. I was told on the phone they would be together at the same time. So that was an extra $12 out of pocket we could not afford. We were also told we had to have the uhaul back by 5 on Monday the first. Then we received a phone call from the place to turn it in that it had to be back by 1 45 PM. We had to drive 2 and a half hours and quickly unload the truck to turn it back in on time. It was super inconvenient and made our moving experience harder. Due to this in the future we will not go through u haul, we will just go through a moving company. The people where we turned the u haul in were callous and rude. This was a horrible experience and not worth the $200 to use the truck. Your company should pay us for having to deal with the poor customer service and lack of readily available equipment.

Heidi was an excellent agent at Huffman's in West Burlington, IA. Lindsey was extremely helpful and kind in West Burlington, IA. The problem existed with the regional Reservation and the U-Haul regional TRAFFIC center!! The Traffic Center had the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND COMMUNICATION; our experience was horrific! We had at least 3 people, namely Monteague, Gina then Shannon tell us on at least 6 occasions they would return phone calls for a reservation made March 7, 2019; Gina called back only 1 time. We had to transport 7 dozen moving blankets to Iowa from CO because neither Burlington, IA location had any blankets. We changed our plans from flying to driving or we would not have had any blankets for our household goods! Furthermore, we did NOT get the trucks we reserved. I wasted more than 3 hours sorting this out in West Burlington while I had movers WAITING at our home to load a truck; being paid by the hour!!! When refusing to accept the smaller trucks, we were then going to be charged more to rent a smaller truck than a larger 26 ft reserved!!!! I would never, ever recommend UHAUL again. Worst customer experience, and they do not care! If negatives were an option, this would -100. We cannot express enough how poorly this was handled (or lack thereof) and caused undue stress not necessary when we reserved in PLENTY of time to have trucks available at a convenient location. Who has time to run around from county to county the day you are moving to retrieve moving trucks an hour or MORE away? Don't pass the buck to the customer, make arrangements in advance for your truck shortage, provide customer service, accommodate your paying customers, and return phone calls when you promise to follow up! Shame on you UHAUL IOWA!!!! :( Smart people reading this will find alternate sources: Budget, Penske, etc, do NOT RESERVE WITH UHAUL!!!

I am 35 miles from West Burlington. The trailer I had rented disappeared in Mt. Pleasant, so I had to drive to Burlington which was only a time issue. It all worked out OK but took a lot of time since I had to return to Mt. Pleasant to pick up the car. Huffmans was great, just inconvenient..

I had ordered an appliance hand truck but they only had utility carts available. In addition, they did not have my items with truck as I wanted to pick up truck before store hours

I had a contract to pick up a larger truck in fort madison Iowa. It was rented out from under me. I ended up with a smaller truck and it took the movers 10 hours at 75 dollars an hour to move me and we still didn’t get done. The reservation was changed by your staff Friday night and they were trying to charge me more. The truck leaked all over my stuff. This was a horrible experience for me and I will be filing a costumer action file. I have also filed with the better business bureau also.

The weak link seemed to be your system! Both locations were professional, informed, helpful, and pleasant. BOTH locations struggled with your computer system. With a reservation for a month, we still had to stop and re enter our pick up. That being said, you are still lightyears ahead of Budget Rental! Thank you for the assistance!
