The lock box for the location was fine, but the lock for our order has seized due to the rain we think. We needed to buy lubricant so we could turn the mechanism. If the box was in a more protected location it wouldn’t have been an issue. The truck was at half tank when we picked it up and the passenger headlight was out. The last two things may have slipped by because the truck was picked up on a closed day. The vehicle was clean and acceptable other than the first two points to note.

Theresa CostaMy drop off location changed and it was further away from the original - Uhaul ended up charging me extra for mileage because of the extra distance. I do not think this is right - an unfair expense do to Uhauls drop off change.

Greg GreenJam Auto in Elgin needs new locks. It took me longer to get the truck and return it than it did to move. The uhaul app sucks when there is no internet connection. Sorry I did not have the latest Apple I-phone or the latest samsung. you guys should have wi-fi internet connections at the lock boxes so your remote staff could see what's really going on.

Who called the day before, telling me my uhaul pickup place was changed and time was 12, as I said 12 noon, he said yes (very unhappy about that but oh well) not paying attention to the text, said pickup was 12 AM, didn't notice till 11:30 as I was on my way to pick it up. The guys at the place said he isn't sure why I was told that, and there were 2 other pickups for 3 and 4 am that morning... that set our time line off ALOT.

Marissa ZyckI would like to give this location a positive rating as Matt was initially very responsive and helpful. My reason for the poor rating was that I was charged for items that I did not request in my initial order. They were already on the truck, and I was charged, despite not requesting them. I was also overcharged for gas. I drove 13 miles, put in 2 gallons of gas and was still charged a fairly significant gas charge. When I called to request a credit on these items, I was told they would look into it, however, there was no resolution. I would recommend another location for your U-Haul needs.
Robert EissI have no issue with the pickup location operator. He did his job well. But I do have issues with the reservation process. It was one of the most painful customer service experiences I ever have had. I needed to call multiple people to make this happen. And all too often I was directed to the horrible 630-405-7455 number and its very long wait times. U-Haul needs to work on making the reservation process more seamless.

Sarah AndersonI agreed to use the mobile app for pickup but my pickup location was changed but not changed in my online reservation so mobile pickup was not working. Then when I called the 800 number for assistance the on-hold wait time was 35 mins. Sitting in a deserted warehouse parking lot 45 mins from my apt and no one around to ask a question. Go back and listen to my 1/2 hour panicked phone call to the Hanover Park location, trying to pick up a truck at the same time my movers were on their way to my apartment.

The real problem that i had was using U-haul's app for picking up the truck and returning the truck. the app didn't work very well at all. i will not be doing that again. it was a big waste of time for me. Rene' GagnerUhaul moved my reservation from the one in st charles to this one because this one was open on Sundays and even though I selected to pick up the truck via mobile, someone would be there in case there were problems. We completed the online check out process and it would not accept the alternate contact and we tried four people. By the fourth it accepted it, but then it did not give us the combination to get the keys. So we started a chat and they said we’d have to call. The wait time when calling was 60 minutes!! We finally got the keys an hour later and the truck was on empty….they didn’t even have any gas for us!! We had to let all the people who came to help us move and inconvenience them. I’ll never use uhaul again after this experience.

SCOTT THOMPSONMobile pickup and drop off was super easy. Location was great. It just took way to long to get approval. It took almost 40 mins to complete. Ridiculous when you have people waiting for you to help move things. There needs to be a pre approval check in before picking up truck.

Brian FurmanI had issues with picking up the truck through the mobile app. It didn't have the button to start the pickup. During the dropoff, the app caused some confusion by saying the dropoff location was in another state. Finally, I was charged for insurance even though I opted out of it.
