You can tell that the Uhaul equipment is an afterthought at this location. The truck had 16,000 miles on it, but had excessive engine noise (sounded like a heat shield was loose) and it had issues starting (sounded like a weak batter). You can tell they don't clean the trucks in between uses as there was a melted chocolate candy on the floor in the truck. It also annoyed me that I picked up a truck with 3/4 of a tank instead of a full tank of gas. This ALWAYS means that the consumer is putting in more gas than they should have to as they have to estimate what gas is needed to fill the tank back to 3/4 of a tank. This is always frustrating and feels like a SCAM every time. Requiring the tanks to be full (and filling them back up when they aren't) insures the best experience for your customers. Overall, I will not visit this location again. The clerk was informative, but was frustrated that we interrupted his lunch (he tried to hide his initial frustration with a joke).LYNN T.

I rented a truck from hitch World through U-Haul.com I drove from hitch World to my old address at 6821 70th Ave. N., Pinellas Park Florida which is 1.3 miles the truck sat until approximately 3 PM when we loaded it up and drove over to 16436 Verona Avenue in High Point area of Clearwater FL.. which is 7.4 miles from my old house.. from Verona Ave I drove the truck back at hitch World by 4:59 PM which is 6 miles I wanna know how in the hell they trying to say I use $89 worth of mileage at this point I'm calling corporate I'm calling channel 8 on your side I'm going to get every single family member involved in the move and witnessed the truck and how long it sat still until we actually moved the household items the fact it was also returned on full for the gas.. there no way in hell I should have been charged over $150 .. this is fraud and I will not allow someone to overcharge me by false info .. if I have to contact the people in charge of street cameras that can verified route and times that proves the traveling distance I surely will do just that .. by then I will have obtained a lawyer .. I work my ass off for every penny and you can guarantee every penny is accounted for!!!! it was pouring down rain when we picked up this uhaul to move from this location to my trailer @ 7335 79th ave n, pinellas park 33781, to 9790 66th st N pinellas park 33782 and drove back to the uhaul location. We moved a fridge that we couldn't fit in the uhaul trailer that we rented from the starky location on the same day. We returned the truck in a couple of hours but of course the location was already closed. We drove maybe 5 miles round trip and i was charged for 20 or something like that. i called and talked to the location and was told he would look into it. this should of been a short little $40 rental and i paid close to 80 for it. I am not happy. We have rented from uhaul 3 times in the last 2 weeks to move our stuff to storage and then into our apartment which is why we moved my fridge to my moms house. I got ripped off all because of the weather , you should be able to trust the uhaul employees to write down the correct information this is very sad they are making money by ripping people off. i am very unpleased and will never rent another truck not even to move something 5 miles if im going to be charged $ 80 to do it.Tosha W.

I was told i could drop the trailer off at any uhaul location. I chose a place two blocks from my move in location. It was litterally a 1/4 mile away from my apartment. It was located at 9300 49th st in pinellas park. When i attempted to drop it off around 11pm i had just got the trailer unhooked from my truck when a man came out of the building half dressed. He was yelling at me from the door of the buding. He told me that i could not leave the trailer there and that the county would not allow it. I argued with him for a few minutes about the drop box and why it was even a uhaul authorized drop off location. He refused to lete leave it there and told me that i had to take it somewhere else. I think the man was living inside the business at that location. So i had to hook it back up and drive around till i found another location to drop it off at. I found 9033 66th st in pinellas park and it was closed ofcourse, by this time it was 1/4 till midnight I droped it off without any further issues. UNTILL that weekend i got a call on the 13th or14th of sep when a woman called me from uhaul inquireing when i would be dropping off the uhaul. My heart skipped a beat and i thought to myself, here we go! I explained her everything i just wrote and she said she had no record of me dropong it off and had to call the place i had dropped if off at. It was called hitch world. I never heard back from her and i just got the email today the 20th of sep with my receipt and this questionnaire. So that was my uhaul experience. I was worried for the last week or two that i was going to be charged for having it for an exstended period of time. I cant understand what took so long for the uhaul to be processed back but it shouldn't have taken two weeks.GENNARO C.
