The truck was dirty, had ashes in the doors from previous cigarette use, and smelled bad (combo of dirty and smoke). No one was there to assist and everything was online. The agent who called to verify and send the code sounded like she just woke up, mumbled the whole time, and was asked repeatedly to speak clearly (which she didn't). I disputed the cleaning charge as this van WAS NO WHERE NEAR GLEAN at the time we picked it up. We also was being charged $17 for gas, but we filled it to exactly where it was when we picked it up. I WILL NOT BE PAYING EITHER CHARGE. I did try speaking with customer service, but after a lengthy hold was told there wasn't much they could do at the time due to the location being closed and to call back on Monday. Call was cut off (hopefully by accident) before help was ptovided. The entire experience was unpleasant.Raymond F.

The truck was not clean. However, everything worked and the tank was full. The last customer did not clean the back out of the cargo van. I took tons of pictures but had a difficult time trying to submit the drop off on line. But the staff took care of everything for a $20 service charge. I wasn't aware that I would be charged to drop it at a different location. I received a text to drop it at a different location, so I did. But U Haul is always great. Thanks you guys. Rentals should be 24 hrs. I was charged a â€œdaily rateâ€ for insurance, etc. It should have been pro-rated to 4 hours since that is what you want as the rental period. You advertise as â€œper dayâ€; it should be per 4 hrs.Allen C.

I love using Uhaul services, but this time the whole process was a headache. My pickup time was on a weekend and the location is closed. I expected that and knew in advance that I will have to access the keys for the truck in the lock box. I went there at the pickup time and they key code given by the App wasn't correct for the box. 45 minutes later with the customer service who was trying to diagnose/fix the problem and giving me different codes to try (nope, wrong truck, next box, nope that box is empty etc..), she suggested I go get a truck from a different location. My movers were about to arrive in 10 mins. The stress was unreal added to the stress of moving to another house and all the drama. Luckily I was able to take another truck from same location (finding the key for this one was an adventure by itself). I don't know who's fault is it to not having the truck ready. The location or Uhaul. But I hope it gets fixedMohammed A.

I put in the order on line to pick up at 5:30 and I get a call from the guy at the u-haul place saying they wont be there at 5:30 - they go home at 4:30. Why was I able to rent on line if I couldn't pick it up on time. Thankfully the guy called me, but, I still had to leave work and take time much earlier than expected to pick it up. Also, because I picked it up earlier, I then get a notice that says I have to return it at 3 AM in the morning. Just not a good experience.Vance D.

Have a spot designated for drop offs. I just parked the truck next to a dumpster because it was the only accessible place to leave the truck. Other than that, I didn't speak to anyone, just dropped the truck off in the middle of the night, which was easy I guess.Clay C.

Agents at both the pick up and drop off locations were great. The fellow at the pick up came in for a few minutes on his day off to help me to get my truck. The fellow at the drop off was outgoing and friendly. Were it not for the two men, this would not have been a good experience with Uhaul.Matthew J.

This location was great to work with. However, UHAUL of Richmond in general reassigned my reservation 4 times - once without telling me AND my reservation was downgraded without notification. I didn't get calls back when promised and had to continually call and check to make sure that the truck I needed was going to be where it was promised at the time it was scheduled for. In the end, I had to go 30 minutes out of the way and start an hour later than planned with my move. I reserved my equipment two weeks in advance. This was unacceptable.Leah E.

This was the WORST uhaul experience EVER! Spent 2 hrs crying on the phone to the customer service reps and they didn't NOT care at all. The mobile check in is not customer friendly at all. Took them almost 2 hrs to provide me the password to get the key. Made theee different reservations, waste a half of tank of gas just to get denied( no one was at the gas station to my second reservation to give me the keys. Told me wait 30 mins for him to come to the store). Went back to the nine mile location after finally getting the passcode for the keys. So awful. It was my bday and I was trying to move in my new furniture , my day was ruined!!!!kiara M.
