Equipment missing. No appliance dolly or blankets provided. Got sent to another location to get dolly they didn't have one either yelled at by manager. Checkin process on app also was not easy had to do steps multiple times. Call to get code for truck because it wasn't provided. The whole thing sucked.
JONATHON N1)Paid for furniture pads which weren't in the truck- we had to hunt them down and that time came out of our overall paid time with the truck. 2) the driver's side seatbelt wasn't functional. 3) there was BARELY 1/8 tank of gas when we picked it up. Not a good experience- would not rent from this location again.

FRANCISCO GI had no problem with Haxton's, they were friendly and the service was great. My issue is the constant changing of locations when equipment is booked online. Everytime I book online, the day before pick up, the pick up location changes to a location that is not convenient and in some cases significantly out of the way.

Mel OI booked a location .5 miles from my house. The day before I get a call from U-Haul that my truck can be picked up at a locator 30 minutes away. It completely screwed up my plans to walk to pick up my truck and I had to get a ride. Maybe U-Haul shouldn't make that location available to book if there aren't trucks available? Or maybe move the truck to the closer location - I booked weeks in and so there was plenty of time to sort out the logistics. I hope Amazon gets in the truck rental business, at least they know something about logistics and customer satisfaction. But the people at Haxton's were incredible. I'd recommend them any day.
Alyssa MClean mirrors and inside and outside of windows and before dispatch go back to old system of dispatching and returning vehicle with full tank of fuel. Current system is stacked against customer on short distances.

Cynthia BFrom the moment I made my reservation for a 26 foot truck Uhaul had made an already huge stressful move across several states into a non stop nightmare, with several mistakes and zero empathy or attempt to fix it, they cost me several hundred more dollars by not having the truck I reserved two weeks ahead at the time and place I reserved it for. Not only did I have to drive over 300 miles and 5 hrs to go pick up the truck which cost me gas and time I didn't have on move day, but I could not even pick it up at 9am as I reserved but had to pick up at noon. My whole day for packing the truck was gone thanks to Uhaul's complete lack of follow though and professionalism not to mention the money needed to pay for gas for the actual move since I had to go all that way to get the truck and they didn't even make sure it was at the gas level they were supposed to. I will never use Uhaul again, which is something since I have moved alot and helped others move and have always relied on Uhaul since they have always been amazing. This whole experience with them this move led to so many issues and frustration that there are not enough words. When we returned the truck not only did they charge me a cleaning fee for a small flap of card board and one single small cord that was still sitting in back of truck but then had the nerve to tell me that I was 1/16 short of gas level. Even when I explained that the truck was rented to me with less than it was because the last people had returned it short of gas and Uhaul did not gas it to where it was supposed to be before renting it to me. Shame on UHaul for the way they treated us and their complete lack of any apology or attempt to correct the problems they caused.
Sheena HWhen we arrived at site, we opened the back of the truck to find toilet paper and human feces. We placed a half a bale of hay over it and worked around it. Upon returning the van, we expected at least an apology if not a discount, but much to our surprise we were charged a cleaning fee. Yes. We were given a truck with human turds in it and then charged additional money for the privilege. I was told I should have inspected the back of the vehicle when we picked it up, but I feel like it should be the facility's responsibility to make sure the vehicle is inspected upon being rented. This was never offered or suggested while we were there.

Kellie MI enjoyed the experience of picking up the truck after hours, but I do have to say that the lock boxes to obtain the keys are ridiculously difficult to open, extremely poor design.
Michael HI was told 1.19 per mile. So I didn't bother to check my contract. I went by what they told me. My mistake to take people by their word. When I dropped off the price it was 1.59 per mile. She said because it was a Friday lol.

ROBERT VEverything was great at first. I was given a truck and went to start it is the battery was dead. Okay, I got another and went on my way. Brought it back an hour early and made sure the back was clean. We didn't have a broom to sweep it out so it was pristine, but I inspected it and there was no debris it it. The day rate is supposed to be $19.95, at least that is what we were told when we made the reservation. We used it between 10 am and 3 pm. We got a dolly also for $7.00 and went 9 miles over the 20 miles we guessed we would use. I got the final bill I was charged $101.00. which is much more than I should have been charged. I called the location to find out why I was charged so much and I was told there was a fee for returning the bed dirty. I don't know what white-glove standards they use, but we only had large furniture pieces in the truck and there was no pieces or large amounts of dust in the truck. This is ridiculous. I would have recommended this location highly except for the rude extra charges. Never again! And Jessica was so nice yesterday.
Joanne FWindshield was filthy with dirt and smashed bugs. And what's with the half tank of gas? Cynical people might think it's a scam to get an overfilled tank back. I was also unable to return the truck after hours because uhaul.com couldn't ID my phone location & there's no option to manually specify it.

Michael SThere was no one available to assist a 72 year old lady. Equipment that was ordered was missing. I do not like the 24/7 checking process. Took 45 minutes to complete the process. I will never use iuhaul again if there is no personal assistance available.
Cynthia TMore clarity on the 24/7 pick up process. As well as customer service training for the Haxton people, who not only couldn't be bothered, but we're quite rude as well. It's not how you should treat people in general, let alone when you're representing another company.

Tiffany LThere were 2 bias ply tires on the trailer - we were driving from Oregon to North Carolina and if my husband who is an ex-tire store owner hadn't noticed the changes in the tire near Nashville, we could have had a horrible experience. We called in the tire issue and the U-haul after hours service guy came out and had to put 2 new radial tires on - 3 hours later we were on our way. There was also a leak in the top of the trailer which had duct tape on it. We retaped it and only ran into one rain storm but there was water in the trailer when we unloaded it.

john wEasy to find. The after hours drop process was not as smooth as It should have been! The system would not accept that I was at the correct location until I called. This process took far to long.
Robert CI did the express online check in and it was a nightmare. Slow internet connection and confusing propts like where to get the key while standing in the pouring rain. Charged me for 9 gallons of gas when I only went 17 miles. Didnt have the dollie I ordered. Mileage was all screwed up, thank God I took a picture. A $20 rental ended up costing me over $100!!!

JOANN RWe were given the wrong truck. The lic plate and equipment number did not match our contract. (There was no walk around, wipers needed to be replaced and filthy with dog hair and food) When we tried to talk to the lady she yelled at me and refused to help. She has her own business to run not deal with uhaul people like me. We kept the truck and called uhaul. We went to an actual uhaul company. They replaced the wipers and we were in our way. Once we reached our destination we realized additional charges were charged to my credit card for the vehicle we should have received and their toll fees. We had a reservation with u-haulthat included packaging materials and movers. She would not honor them. She used her own person and personal supplies. I'm the end. U-haul refunded us $400 and will use the upholstery shop location as an example of what not to do.
Mimi FBad customer service. Took forever to get the vehicle and then just kinda pointed us in a direction with no help. Returned uhaul and they had hours to process the return and did not until the next day. Still have not received my money back after they took $100 hold off my card without notifying me first.

Lorenzo GIt is only my word as I didn't tape the call but what the original employee at the Uhaul in Oregon City quoted and told me was not what the total was. It was over $100.00 more and the person I talked to was rude and basically told me I was untruthful but as I said I can't do anything about it, but if I have to deal with U-haul again, will tape the call!!
Carol YThe truck worked well. Our dissatisfaction was with customer service. We were contacted about a change in the pickup location because our preferred location did not have a 15' truck. The customer service person neglected to tell us that the pickup location is closed on Saturday and we would need to use the smart phone app in order to get access to the truck. This created a great deal of confusion for us, phone calls to UHaul and being placed on hold waiting for assistance. It was our first time using UHaul and we were not familiar with the self serve - no customer service approach.
