I rented a van to pick up a piece of furniture and it exceeded what I thought I would be driving. Greg at the service station where I rented was superior to work with. He made everything seem less!

Greg is great, best experience I’ve ever had, been using equipment for decades.
Christopher SThe equipment was clean and fully operational. It is old, but used for local moves it is fine. The console was loose and had to be snapped into place but it did not affect the move at all. Greg is easy and great to work with.
Bonnie DI had the correct ball, hitch was correct level. However, the trailer slammed the ball on slowing and stopping. If this trailer had a number, I would never hook up to it again.

James BDoesn't get any better. Greg is organized and the truck was clean and I even actually got a lock chained to the truck (as it should be) with a key that worked. This is a gas station as well so easy to top off truck. Highly recommend Greg's Service Center.

Brian CMr. Greg is super professional and we like working with him and have on multiple occasionsover the years. The only issue we have is he had to be unexpectedly closed on our scheduled pick up day and we had to pay for the extra day, due to no fault of yours, ours or his. We believe UHaul could absorb that extra daily fee and improve their quality service that much more. I called corporate office regarding this, and the answer was an indisputable 'No'.
Donna NThey guy was very rude, did not walk with me to the truck to inspect it, handed me papers and said keys are in truck without telling me or showing me where the truck is. I almost drove off in the wrong truck before he ran me down. When I got in the truck it was on 1/8 of a tank of gas and I thought it was 1/4. I returned the truck thinking I was returning it with 1/2 a tank but then he told me it was only a 1/4 so I explained to him the situation of how it was on an 1/8 when I picked it up and he called me lair and started raising his voice at me. He was very unprofessional during the pick up and drop off process. He also convinced me it would be cheaper to return the truck to his place instead of the location I’m moving to but it ended up being $17 more expensive. Overall my experience with this location was not good at all. I will not be recommending it to anyone at all. The check in and check out process took way longer than it needed to and the guy was just overall rude and unprofessional.

Larry ADid the self-guided return. Website was not working properly to upload pictures. Finally finished return, nearly 4 hours before the time the truck was due back, and then was charged an additional day of rental for the truck despite the truck being returned on time. Will not be using U-Haul again in the future if I have the option.
Jared FI rented from the Elkin location several times before. The gentleman has always been nice. He has always checked over the trucks when I returned them. I just happened to drop this truck late at night.

Michaela PI rented and appliance dolly and the rubber on the back tread was completely gone. Without it half the functionality of the dolly is gone. Moving my appliances up and down stairs was severely impacted. It slowed down the move and put undue stress on our bodies.

Barbara PThe truck was so dirty and we had to sweep it and clean it first. It was literally not usable. Then we were given VERY USED furniture pads. The site doesn’t specify they would be used. These had dog hair all over them. They should be laundered every time! We did not use them and demanded a refund, to which the business owner laughed. I told him to call U-Haul and get the refund then and he just gave me a $10 bill and told me to go away. Great customer service, NOT. I will never use U-Haul again.

Larry SWe set up the 15' truck and car carrier 1 month prior to pick up date. Called to confirm and change car carrier date further up but keep truck on scheduled date. Gregs Auto ended up changing the whole order to new date. I was stuck in a GA hotel heading to NC from FL in fear when Greg told us he did not have a truck for the day we originally asked for. I finally contacted Adam @ Mt Airy Self storage 1334 W Pine in Mt Airy who helped me understand what Gregs Auto did and suggested I call customer service, we did and the agent helped us straighten it all out!

Edwin CI checked in online in the gentleman at the counter was very upset about this. He told us never to use the mobile app, that it didn't work. He still went through and entered the information on his computer and then there was some sort of exception. He told us that we would have to come back later until U-Haul called him about the error. He called us back 10 minutes later so we can pick up the truck. Overall he was very rude. When I got the truck and trailer home I realized that the electric connection wasn't made either or the trailer brakes.

keala kVehicle reserved is not what I got, guy was a complete A** hole, refused to allow the 26' truck I reserved and confirmed with as 1 way. Then charged me more for the 20 foot. Truck wobbled and shook horribly from pick up to drop off. Drove 7 hours away expecting to be done in 1 trip, have to make 2nd small trip that could of been avoided with truck reserved, spent 45 minutes waiting on hold with u haul before hanging up and just taking ragged 20 foot truck
Maurice Kservice was friendly and a nice change from the typical retail locations. Reminded me of how things used to be when I was younger. I would recommend Greg’s to anyone.

RAYMOND RWhen I arrived the guy had attitude. Then informed me someone offered him cash under table for my truck and I almost didn't get it..the inside of truck was dirty...no bathrooms...the inside of trailor smelled of gasoline..I drove 3 hours for this trip and will never go back or deal with them again
Laura RVery rude and dismissive, dialed a call when I walked in, then finished call and made another personal call before handing me the key. Check in was complete and key was on counter. When he hung up the second call he waved to the key like I was a little kid shooing me away.

SEAN PThe truck I rented appears to need some attention given to the transmission. It didn't want to shift gears easily and had a hard time climbing inclines. Other than that, I was very happy with the entire experience and my move went quite smoothly. The staff at the drop off point were very friendly and very helpful and I highly recommend them.
