The only good thing that came from this renting from Uhaul was that the owner at my pick up location was nice. He just happened to be walking by when we arrived to pick up the Uhaul, I assume he lived close by and he was nice enough to open up early to serve me. Uhaul dropped the ball by telling me that I could do pick up anytime by using the app when they never let the location know that I would be doing that and would be picking up the uhaul before the location opened up at 9 am. I arrived for 7:30, so I greatly appreciate Mr. GM for opening up to allow me to get the truck. the truck, however, was not the best. the check engine light was on and when you hit the brakes instead of slowing down the engine revved up and made horrible sounds, sounds like the transmission was going out. I did not get a chance to inspect the truck either before leaving and didn't realize until after my things were loaded the truck had ants which got onto all of my things. Nevertheless, we made it 5-1/2 hours to our destination.

The location was fine for picking up and dropping off U-Haul equipment though no one was present at 4:00pm 4/15/19 when I dropped it off. The trailer was not in good operating condition. One of the TWO straps to secure the car to the trailer via a web over the front weeks was torn and unusable. I had to use a make shift strap I made myself. I also paid over $100 more for my 4 day rental as my friend who rented the same trailer from another location in Detroit for the same weekend trip.

We received a call from U-Haul to set up a drop off location in Baton Rouge. The location was set up BY U-Haul for us to drop the trailer we rented off at a location on Highland Rd., which was at the Velero Station on Highland (4464 Highland Rd). Now after starting my day having to travel 80 miles out of my way, I finally was able to make it to Baton Rouge and move my daughter to college. After moving all day and ending the day at 7:00pm, we made our way to the drop off location, again set up by U-Haul. We arrived and encountered an extremely rude representative of U-Haul. This person, after we unhooked the trailer in a spot next to the other trailers on the lot (out of the way), tells us in a very unprofessional manner that we could not drop the trailer off, that we had to reconnect and go some place else that she was at capacity. I was at the drop off location set up through U-Haul, not a location I just observed and decided to stop at. When asked about where we need to take the trailer to drop it off, she would not assist and said she doesn't know but she couldn't take the trailer. We had to reconnect the trailer, travel down the road (busy Baton Rouge traffic) pull over and search for a drop off location. Now we attempted to contact U-Haul, as again are the ones that set this location up, but it was apparently after hours and no one was available to assist. After calling several locations we made contact with a representative that said he would accept the trailer after hearing what we were going through. This location was located at 2550 Evangeline St., which was a good distance from the original drop off location. But we did not have much of a choice being the assigned location refused us. This gentleman was more than helpful which was greatly appreciated. So, overall this was a horrible experience from the start of this adventure. I also attempted to email U-Haul with comments on this move and received no reply. At this point I feel I cannot promote U0Haul and recommend them use your company. Now lets see if U-Haul even makes an attempt to make this right!

The truck had roaches in it and was filthy. I had to clean it myself. After informing rental agent of this he did not try and accommodate me in any way He could’ve at least not charge me for 5 gallons of gas. It’s not like he pays for gas!!!! Theses trucks are supposed to be cleaned already also charged 2.00 environmental fee!!!! I WILL NEVER EVER ZFREQUENT THIS PARTICULAR LOCATION AGAIN, the truck is also beat up and raggedy??

The guy added the safe tow insurance to my card within my knowledge and even admitted to it to me and made me call the 1800 number and they would not give me back my 35$ this is very upsetting

The 20 foot truck that we drove from Baton Rouge to Ruston, La leaked so much from the floor that it soaked our furniture (sofa) 2 mattress sets and box springs, and some boxes that were on the floor - some which contained oard games (now ruined). We did note that the vehicle was water resistant/not waterproof, however, were not expecting so much water inside the truck. I was given a uhaul that had mechanical issues and still had to pay for services!!! I will NEVER use this location again. The company who was suppose to pick up uhaul lied about coming to pick up broken uhaul. The whole incident has left a bad taste in mouth.

Apperenrly rhe auto transfer i got from here had one directional light that wasnt functioning.. and the bar was bent so it was a few inches off the ground.

We traveled to Baton Rouge on the weekend (Labor day) and thought we'd have a place open to drop off in person. the Evangeline location was closed but we were told we could leave trailer there by another uhaul worker at a different location. It was just unnerving when the unit wasn't marked as returned a week later. Next time we will call ahead if needing to drop off on weekend. Other than that, all was well. We'd recommend both locations and appreciate the help sorting it out. Linda Ebert

D'Iberville told me to drop it off anywhere in Baton Rouge. Went to 440 Government St first (Google) and they said they didn't take trailers. U-Haul was a horrible experience for me. :(

I arrived at my scheduled pick up time, and was told "you ain't in no hurry, you gon have to wait." It was then pushing two hours before I was able to leave with my uhaul. He didn't even come check my uhaul for prior damage on my warranty check list.

It was extremely hot, no air conditioning at this location which makes the wait almost unbearable. Only one person working, and he was not very courteous or friendly. Overall, my experience was sub-par and I would actually recommend anyone to NOT visit this place.

Lied about towing capacity of vehicle and had to get someone else to drive with a truck. Actual car manufacturer has tow rating at half of what uhaul says. Never again.

I would recommend this uhaul location. It was easy to find and they were so accommodating. I booked online and received a pickup time of 10am. I called and asked if I could pick it up at 7:30am instead and they said yes! They opened early just for me and even gave me a cell phone number so I could get in touch at any time.

My experience with this location met all of my needs. I was treated cordially and respectfully. I was made aware of my responsibilities that involved the handling and billing procedures. The owner was very helpful and accommodating to my needs. Moving is expensive, but he made me feel really great and not at a loss in relating to the stress that can come from moving. I would recommend this agent to anyone that needed a U-Haul truck.

Originally I had rented from one location and had to pick up a truck about ten miles away. They said that every truck in the city had been rented out. The truck rented was out if fuel and we had to refuel immediately upon pickup. The interior of the building was gross. The man in charge had no one in front of us to deal with and although we were scheduled to pck up the truck at 9, he did not help us until around 930. Overall, this was the first time I have used uhaul and may try a different company next time I move.
