June SHelped out alot; we were all misinformed by the UHaul District Rep who scheduled this as a 24/7 deal. I would have missed my moved if it were not for this locations owner staying open for me to get the truck. Professional & kind & considerate. I would use this location again.
Richard SYou guys over charged me over 100 dollars for forgetting to do mobile check in. You guys could have easily had the rental place review there video to see the exact time I returned the truck,but no you guys being thirsty and desperate decided to take advantage of the poor consumer and rake them over the coals,and for the rental company to sit there and wait until almost 3pm the next day to check in truck smells as well. You guys are terrible and if I could I would convince everyone alive to avoid you guys by any means necessary. And I will be taking this to the B.B.B because this is ridiculous.

Lori JYou can make sure that the next person that rents a truck gets their truck on the day and time at the location they called to make the reservation at. This was my worst absolute worst experience with U-Haul. I have rented off of you guys for over 20 years never had a problem. This time they called me at 6:00 the night before I'm supposed to pick up my truck and tell me they don't have one and it's my job to find one if I want one. They were not helpful they did not try to resolve the problem they did not try to find a truck they only went to one location and when they didn't have it they gave up trying to find my truck. The Merrillville office on route 30 in Merrillville Indiana was very rude to me and it's very uncooperative. I do not recommend this location for anybody to go and rent from.

Daniel REmployees were nice but the truck can was dirty. The truck only had about 150k miles on it but the steering wheel looked like it had 500k miles. The steering wheel, radio buttons, and driver door were filthy. I should not have to clean a rental truck before I use it. Also, due to their hours of operation, I had to rent the truck an extra day because I could not pick it up before 10am on a Saturday. This was the only location in NWI with this truck size, so I had to rent from this location.

BETTY HLocation was ok. After hour drop off using app was NOT friendly usable. Had to call customer service and was very helpful. Overall experience was very good. Would use both sites and recommend them.

Hayley SIt took me 45 min to get the app to work to pick up a mobile truck reservation .. which in home site pushed my moving time out of the 4 hrs . The customer service number had a 30 min wait .. wouldn't recommend mobile pick up again

Ebony BThis was our second location. They accommodated our last minute reservation after we went to our first location, at our scheduled time, and they did not have a truck and would not have a truck for several more hours. This was a significant inconvenience, as I had to contact U-Haul during my work day (I'm a teacher), after my husband and father had already travelled to the first location and I had confirmed this location the day prior with U-Haul. When I make this contact, U-Haul showed there was a truck at this location, even though that was not the case.

TERRY POn a very hot day, 90+ degrees, the owner did NOT let me know that the air conditioning was not working on the 26 ft. truck that I rented. I mention the size because we were moving A LOT of items, and I was completely blindsided by that. I might have made other arrangements had I known and I was very unsatisfied.

LaTicia MI lost an hour and a half because there was a combination lock on the back of the truck and I wasn't given the combo. They changed my location and pick up time. Nobody told me I didn't need to sign any papers when picking up the truck. I was supposed to pick the truck up at 9am and the store didn't open until 10am. I hired movers to start at 10am. I had to start at 11am. So they had an hour paid just to sit around.
George MThe facility is great and the guy working there is great to. However I needed the truck before store hours and was declined for the service to get my truck by phone. Not sure what is wrong with the system but it needs to be fixed. I was not able to get the truck until the store opened which put me an hour behind my work schedule for the day.
MICHELLE HThe guy got frustrated with me because I didn't see the key return box. When I suggested they put a uhaul sign by the box he sarcastically told me " No one else has a problem seeing the box". Worst customer service ever. I will put this on Yelp.
