Gin's U-Haul site is the very best. The experience was great and when making the reservation with Gin she was so interesting to speak with and made the start of the entire experience great. Kudos to Gin and her team. We also really like that her site is local in Alta Sierra CA. We did not have to travel out of the area to rent the truck.KENNETH S.

This was the second location we went to. Corporate messed up on our internet reservation and the truck we had reserved was not available, so we were sent to another location.EDWARD H.
Uhaul corporate can incorporate a dial back for customers trying to reach you so we don't have to wait an hour on the phone for someone to answer. Where we leave our number and don't lose our place in line and Uhaul calls us when cs is available. You can provide better support for your locations as well. We had transmission issues on the truck and the location was unable to put a note in the system. When I called roadside I held for an hour only to be disconnected with absolutely no call back.KEARIENE R.

Gins was the fourth location in 3 days that U-Haul moved me too. I supposedly had a guaranteed early pickup and close location that i reserved 3 days earlier. U-Haul saw fit to jack me around to three other locations and changed my pickup time three times to late in the morning that limited my move. and the funny thing is, the original truck sat in the original lot and hasn't moved in five days, still sitting there when I drove past with the further away U-Haul. Woman who ran this place was sour. Checking out she treated me like I didn't understand how far I was driving. On returning the vehicle, I accidentally filled the tank the whole way at $82. I asked if I could be reimbursed for the overage ($20) and she said no with no offering of help. Customer service was shit.DANIEL L.

It is a great location If you picked it yourself. I reserved a truck in Colfax, when I went to get the truck they sent me 20 mi. away (which put 40 mi. on my estimated trip) In fact the Colfax Uhaul aren't assigned any trucks at the location they only store a trailer. It is my option to make a reservation with a specific uhaul store by phone or in-person( NOT ONLINE) then you know the reservation will be there when you need it.Robert H.

I have 2 concerns, U-Haul allows electronic late check-in for the rental. This site closes at 2:00 on Sunday and it required me to check in at 2 pm and start the 24-hour cycle. I was asked to check in early, which I did at 1:30 pm and apparently started the 24 hour cycle at 1:30. I checked the online process and could return the vehicle after hours and did all the proper photos and data entry. I was still charged for a second day. I find this very unfair, and based on this system, I would not recommend this location to a friend on a weekend because it reduces the amount of time to use the vehicle on the next day. The person we moved our daughters with had a vehicle issue and had to travel to Lincoln to pick up his truck. He was credited mileage and additional time to cover the longer distance to pick up and deliver the vehicle. That is an example of better customer service than a 1:30 pm return time without being charged the second day. Since I couldn't make it back by 1:30, I did not rush and spent some time with my daughter that I moved to college and will likely only rarely see for the coming year. I still returned the vehicle clean, ready to rent and with more gas than I started with.Gordon M.
I originally booked a pickup at my local uhaul but was contacted as the equipment was not available and was switched to this location a half hour drive away. A bit more inconvenient. On top of that, I got charged for the next size up trailer when I booked the smaller less expensive one. Not my fault uhaul didn't have one available.Geoffrey A.
Fuel gauge was broken. Put $30 worth of gas in the tank to get it from slightly below a 1/4 tank to slightly above 1/4 tank. Trying to avoid the service fee and high rate of gas but that didn't happen.Diane W.

the person at the front desk who did our transaction was rude. she obviously was anti masks; we didn't want to come into office due to COVID and she had an attitude that we obviously need to come in. Then with all three of us in there, she didn't wear a mask, and had an attitude that we were ridiculous for wearing our masks. UHaul is great however I will NOT refer this location.RUSSELL R.
