There seemed to be issues with the rental program when I was picking up and returning the truck and other items. Also I was told it was only $39.95 flat fee for 10 hour rental and no mileage would be added. The people I worked with were very nice and as frustrated as I was with the computer program. So when advertised as flat day rate then adding mileage doesn't seem right. I would recommend this site for rental but I think more training needs to be done with all who work there.Donna H.

Cancel this location's dealership as a U-Haul location. Very poor English. This location is a convenience store in rural Alabama with staff geared to selling pop/beer and not servicing a U-Haul customer. Plus, the customer service (counter guy) spoke very poor English and was unable to properly process my return with the slight change to the contract that was seen by both the U-Haul rep on the 800 line as well as the CS rep I was transferred to. One person working this convenience store. He did not speak very good English. He ignored me when I first walked to the counter, then took his time helping me. He was more focused on convenience store customers buying gas and beer than me. He would just walk away from me to check out someone else buying something. He did not understand the on-line process - I had to interpret for him. Took me about 30 minutes to check out. Then I had to go back to get the dozen pads I reserved. Inside of the cab was dirty and had ants crawling around.Randall H.

could barely speak English...we had to go way out of our way b/c the equipment wasn't available where we had reserved it even though I confirmed it the day before. We were at my son's college graduation and I got the call. It was VERY frustrating. Then the guy was trying to upsell us on everything. We paid for a dolly we didn't get.Julie W.

they do not need to be a uhaul location. I had to help the owner fill in information on his laptop. My daughter and I had to show him how to print invoice. His card reader kept saying my card was invalid. He did not go outside to look at truck with us. The gas that was in the truck was a fourth of tank when we got in truck, but upon returning truck he said it was a half tank of gas. but it wasn't. I ask for a Dolly at least 3 times and was told it was in truck BUT it was NOT. The store owner said I didn't charge you for dolly but I requested one that I was willingly to pay for. My daughter and I did all information on the computer our self and told him how to print the invoice. He did not come out the store to pull truck out for us nor did he check the truck or go over invoice. He said just say a number for mileage, he did not say I needed to give more precise mileage estimate that it would vary my rate. I explained to him what we were doing and where we were taking furniture. I feel this does not need to be a rental location for uhaul because this man does not give the quality of service that this company represents.andrea B.

The man who gave me the keys was rude and was recorded on the telephone yelling at me while I was speaking with the traffic control lady for uhaul. He also gave me a tow dolly with non working blinkers.Gregory B.
Where to start. I made a reservation to be picked-up on College Ave in Auburn, AL. My son goes to pick up the trailer and is told he is at the wrong location. The people at the College Ave made an effort to help and sent him to a location in Opelika, AL. At this location, they were not helpful and rudely told him the trailer was in Salem, AL (30 min drive one way). At this point, I discovered that an e-mail had been sent to me that morning. However, since I was flying, I did not receive this until about the time my son arrived at the Auburn location. I think it is terrible that you allow reservations at a specific location and then send them on a wild goose chase involving an hour round trip. This is the second time this has happened to me and it's unacceptable. If the item I need is not going to be available at the location I chose... then say so! At least then I can plan accordingly. Plus, the service was terrible except at the Auburn location.Michael L.

The man running the store was unaware that we had changed our pick up location, he had no idea how to do the transaction and we had to do it over the phone at our original location in Auburn. I would have liked the location to have been closer to my initial request. It was almost 15 more miles to my first destination which calculated against me when we only had 64 miles to use. When typing in my location, there is a U-Haul within 5 minutes of it but we had to drive to another town to get the U-Haul. This seemed unnecessary and I was not happy about it.STEPHANIE L.

The staff was not helpful at all. U-haul was not a priority. Staff was not willing to help with the auto trailer. They told me to park it and un-hitch or go somewhere else to drop it, and if i did not like it I could call U-Haul. Then the counter person was handling someone for their other business so I left my contract and left later to find out they entered my return 2 hours later then I dropped the equipment resulting in late charges. Not a a good way to end my U-Haul experience.Pat M.

When I was ready to return the truck, I was instructed to call the 800 number on my contract and that I would be given a dropoff location. When I dialed the number on Saturday, September 25th, I was on hold for about 15 minutes before I was disconnected. Instead of wasting more time, I decided to drop the truck off at a location nearby that I happen to pass. When I've needed a truck in the past, I've always turned to U-Haul but was completely dissatisfied this time. When I need to rent a truck in the future, I will go elsewhere.VINCENT D.

Truck had not been checked in properly from previous customer so gas tank content and mileage was incorrect on paperwork when I picked the truck up. I spotted the error in the gas tank contents and this was corrected, but did not spot the error in the mileage. As a result I was charged for ~30 miles extra. I did not raise this with the location as I could not prove this was the case.Daniel C.

Horrible service... needed truck for 2 days (monday-wednesday) and stated that it's their local truck and they can only rent if for 24 hours at a time and they told me that i would have to re-rent the truck, which was not a problem.. however the problem was they wanted me to bring the truck back in at 1pm (24hrs) to re-check the truck back out which was a major inconvenience as i had to lug the full truck with my helpers back to uhaul (wasting gas and burning miles) and then when i get there they tell me i could of done it over the phone!!! However, this was not told to my wife when she argued with them an hour prior to this situation. I have delt with uhaul for many years and have NEVER had any issues. I will never go back to rent from Lackland storage again.. I will go back to deptford where i have in the past rented for 2 days and had NO issues! This place ought to just stay to storage rentals only!!!DOUG B.

We had returned the truck a few minutes after closing time since the U-Haul drop off guy at the Kenilworth Location was late but we went back the next morning to make sure everything was okay at the West Deptford Location. The West Deptford Location had excellent customer service! The guy saw us coming and opened the door for us and greeted us with a good morning. He was very polite and very professional.
