There was almost no customer service, I could barely understand what he was saying his accent was so strong. The truck was covered in snow and I had to clean it off myself. I didnt feel respected by this man as a woman. The truck was in good working order though so no complaints with the truck.

I didn't appreciate the fact, I booked in Strathmore and you made me drive to Chestermere to pickup the truck when there were trucks available in Strathmore. Then you charge me the mileage to drive it back and forth from the pickup location.

Truck I got was dirty, inside and out. Only had 5/16 gas, and had check engine light on . Entire uhaul experience left me with no desire to use uhaul again. Somehow 2 “in town” trips cost over $100. (Rental + mileage + gas). Just doesn’t seem worth it.

The contract said the vehicle had full fuel, when it had empty fuel. The vehicle had a dirty cab and a dirty back. There was no dolly in the truck, as ordered.

Maybe it would be nice if the unit that was reserved and checked on the evening before to make sure it was there was there to be picked up. I was REALLY, REALLY PISSED OFF when I went to pick up the 20 foot truck and they tell me all they have is a 15 foot unit after I had spent my time checking to make sure the right size truck was available just as I had reserved. I heard from family members that this happened to them also. VERY DISSAPOINTED in a company as big as Uhaul to let that kind of crap go on. I will make sure to warn others about this kind of thing.

Having a truck booked for Saturday morning in Chestermere then getting a call Thursday that I would need to pick up in Hanna was a big inconvenience. The lady on the phone said because of this she would give me a $50 discount and add extra allowable mileage but she didn’t so instead of getting a discount I had to pay extra for exceeding the mileage.This despite me dropping the truck off more than a day early. Unacceptable service.

The truck assigned to me had no gas, and the mileage was 300 miles more than shown on Pick Up. I had to drive back to inform the clerk about the discrepancy and spent an additional 35mins before I could continue my move. I do understand that U-Haul is a large company and offers convenience to the consumer at a low price. I do understand the margins are small, so I’m not really expecting much from the beginning, but even the smallest compensation goes a long way.

The entire truck was filthy. At least 6 empty water bottles under the seats. Cup holders were caked with dry spillage. Lady renting the truck didn't have a clue what she was doing. Claimed to be a new employee, obviously not trained fully/properly. Won't rent from uhaul again it this location is my only option.

We had a reservation for 8 AM, when we arrived and started the booking process the clerk at the gas plus location was very unprofessional. She did not have adequate training and she spent one hour and 20 minutes trying to get us on our way. She spent the majority of the time on the phone, speaking a foreign language to the other person, laughing and joking, while trying to work through the reservation on the computer I found this to be very disrespectful and very unprofessional. When I got into the vehicle, the gas gauge was under a quarter of a tank. She told me to go fill up the van so she could mark the reservation as being full after a number of times telling this individual I was not leaving the location until the gas gauge was properly adjusted on our reservation and the added time that we spent there was noted, on the reservation I will not be going back to U-Haul at this location and I will be telling all of my friends and family. What a poor experience we had with U-Haul as this person was a direct representative of U-Haul. I feel there is some sort of compensation that is required .

These people are trying to run 5 businesses from one location (#1 gas station, #2 covinience store, #3 uhaul rental, #4 bubble tea and #5 a parcel outlet) and one or two employees only!!. Customer service at its worst. I had to load and unload my own trailer, check my own light etc. I have rented from various locations and by far this is the worst uhaul location.

I understand why you keep your vehicles low on gas (1/4 tank) but it was disconcerting to have to add gas (at 10 cents more per litre than other stations) before I even left the yard because I wasn't sure there was enough fuel to get to my destination (which was about 70km away). Surely a locking gas cap on each truck wouldn't eat too far into your profits!!

The truck was filthy and without washer fluid or a scaper to clear the frost on the windshield. The engine light was on the whole time and I was told it didn't matter. The gentleman who assisted me was cordial and accomodating. My complaint is strictly related to the equipment.

Check-in time was 45min even though I had tried to use the mobile app. There was no windshield wiper fluid in the truck and the "check engine light" was on. It was near impossible to get the key out of the ignition. Each time it would take about 10 min to work it out.

To begin with I wanted a 26’ Both were out of commission so I settled for the 20’. When I returned the truck Sunday I had reserved the same truck for today the 21st. 3 trucks were there but all out of commission and did not have a truck for me to rent. I had made plans for people to help me today. sooo infuriated right now with the incompetence of this entire situation. Words can not describe how upset I am right now

I’m not at all sure how you rent a truck in alberta with bald summer tires. I was u aware of the of the road side assistance as I got stuck on snow and had to pay a farmer to pull me out.

Do an inspection on equipment before renting it out because the 26 foot moving truck I rented Was not inspected couse on of the driver side rear tire had not one once of air on it, No windshield washer water and no tool to infate the tire so It took me like one hr to inflate the tire and $8

I have rented from this place several times. The equipment has always been dirty and never full of fuel. Today's truck I had to go wash the windows as soon as I rented just to see through them on the sun. The dash was dirty and obviously no infection control protocol takes place. The location is convenient and I do not want to see it leave but its personal do not enhance the rental experience in any way.

truck tt2363f had 2 large crack in wind screen across driver side. unsafe. as well, driver review mirror was loose. by closing door or as you drive over bombs, mirror would unadjusted itself. at times, I had to roll downwind to adjust. At 100 kph, dangerous experience. Truck should be impounded until fixed.

Vehicle was dirty, windshield full of bug spots, check engine light on, noise / loose front end. I was concerned for my safety while driving this truck. The location had 1 person working and took forever to get my vehicle and to return it as they had to help other customers. I was charged a mileage charge even though I booked for unlimited mileage so not happy at all about that.

The gas tank in the truck was almost completely empty. The location had only one employee working and he was dealing with gas customers, star customers and other business duties. It took a very long time to pick the vehicle up as he was constantly do you laying with other customers. When I brought to his attention that the gas tank was empty he said he couldn’t do nothing about other customers defrauding him.

After spending 1 1/2 Hours in the store for my truck rental that was already rebooked online. The associate told me that I had to cancel my reservation online and he would redo the rental himself. Why - I asked, he did not explain. He was the only associate in the store and after multiple interruptions by other customers purchasing gas etc. Very frustrating And after all that time waiting my reservation did not include my extra day. Travelling long distance into British Colombia, my stress level was already high

Hello. I had an issue that the gentleman at our uhaul location could not resolve. When we picked up the truck the gas was low, the low fuel level light was on. The problem was I put to much gas in that I did not use. I put in $64/36 liters in fuel, I returned the truck with more than an 1/8 of a tank of gas prior to pickup. I have all the receipts and pictures to verify these facts. The attendant though very helpful explained he had no allowable way to remedy this situation. Please advise and contact me asap to discuss this situation. Thank you
