Good location but unit was filthy

I have rented from this place several times. The equipment has always been dirty and never full of fuel. Today's truck I had to go wash the windows as soon as I rented just to see through them on the sun. The dash was dirty and obviously no infection control protocol takes place. The location is convenient and I do not want to see it leave but its personal do not enhance the rental experience in any way.

truck tt2363f had 2 large crack in wind screen across driver side. unsafe. as well, driver review mirror was loose. by closing door or as you drive over bombs, mirror would unadjusted itself. at times, I had to roll downwind to adjust. At 100 kph, dangerous experience. Truck should be impounded until fixed.

Vehicle was dirty, windshield full of bug spots, check engine light on, noise / loose front end. I was concerned for my safety while driving this truck. The location had 1 person working and took forever to get my vehicle and to return it as they had to help other customers. I was charged a mileage charge even though I booked for unlimited mileage so not happy at all about that.

The gas tank in the truck was almost completely empty. The location had only one employee working and he was dealing with gas customers, star customers and other business duties. It took a very long time to pick the vehicle up as he was constantly do you laying with other customers. When I brought to his attention that the gas tank was empty he said he couldn't do nothing about other customers defrauding him.

After spending 1 1/2 Hours in the store for my truck rental that was already rebooked online. The associate told me that I had to cancel my reservation online and he would redo the rental himself. Why - I asked, he did not explain. He was the only associate in the store and after multiple interruptions by other customers purchasing gas etc. Very frustrating And after all that time waiting my reservation did not include my extra day. Travelling long distance into British Colombia, my stress level was already high

Hello. I had an issue that the gentleman at our uhaul location could not resolve. When we picked up the truck the gas was low, the low fuel level light was on. The problem was I put to much gas in that I did not use. I put in $64/36 liters in fuel, I returned the truck with more than an 1/8 of a tank of gas prior to pickup. I have all the receipts and pictures to verify these facts. The attendant though very helpful explained he had no allowable way to remedy this situation. Please advise and contact me asap to discuss this situation. Gracias

I tried returning the trailer the night before and they never gave me a jack to remove from my truck and then charged me $20 for being late. So i had to go home (45 minutes away) and get jack and returned to chestermere next morning. Jack should be attached to a trailer

What seemed quite ridiculous was that the vehicle is advertised for $29.95 for a day. I only drove it 20 miles and the cost ended up being $120. That is 4x the advertised price. That could be interpreted as false advertisement. I did actually recommend u haul to someone as I thought over all it would be less expensive than hiring someone to take a few items away. It was definitely NOT less expensive.

I was forced to rent a higher priced truck because the small 10 foot ones NO LONGER have a loading ramp built into the units. There used to be one and now I will have to look at all aspects including competitors before renting again. I know this to be fact since I am 53 and have used Uhaul since I was 17, its a shame that now I may have to go somewhere else over this.

the truck obviously wasn't inspected after its last use. it was full if garbage (fast food, chips, old masks etc) pretty gross given covid, on top of that it was 5 miles to empty when I picked it up. however, I've used this location lots and it's generally great. just this last time was a disappointment

Location 0567688 U-Haul is doing gas gouging. Unlevel lot, they park it it where it shows you have more gas. Once you exit the parking lot it drops. I have pictures.

The equipment was filthy outside and inside Pretty sure no disinfecting between customers. Had leas than 1/4 tank if fuel and low fuel indicator came on in less than 10 miles from pickup. I Could go on.

The 26 footer he charged mileage $58.78 ,it's not my fault I was supposed to pickup truck from surrey and not from pitt meadows I want this money back or else I will sue you people and never rent from you people ,the drop off location owner is ripped off the 15 footer I brought gas more than it had he wanted $20.00 you guys better fix all this .

We accidentally found this place. Loved the service and knowledge of the kids working there. The speed of processing the rental was incredible. I could only suggest your website be tweaked to include more, if not all, of these smaller satellite operations.

The location is excellent, the vehicle however was a death trap. The truck kept reving the engine on its own when braking, pushing through the brakes and almost causing me to strike cars in front of me multiple times. If not for using the emergency brake to stop the truck I could have been in an accident. That truck needs service asap. Dangerous to the driver and others on the road. I have informed the team at the location and they promised to have the truck serviced. You should follow up and make sure it is dealt with.

The location is painfully understaffed. I'd reserved the truck and the poor clerk had to man the cash register for the convenience store and the gas station. It took 4X as long as it should have. He had to walk away multiple times, leaving my ID on the counter and when I took it off the counter after the 1st time, he took it to the til. I've had identity theft and I find this unacceptable. To add to the problems with understaffing, he wanted me to sign off on no damage without checking the truck first. He tried convincing me to go ahead and sign off but I said I won't do that without physically doing a walk around. I did the walk around and took pics. I needed it for 7.6 km each way journey. He was a lovely person and I don't blame him for just trying to get the vehicle checked in and out as quick as possible in between customers (store and/or fuel). Frustrating.

I have used uhaul a number of times over the last few years. I waited for 45 minutes to find out the trailer was damaged when it was brought back surely someone could have called me. The customer service kid was excellent and apologized and went out of his way to find a dealer that had one. Go to the chestermere location. Owners son wanted nothing to do with helping me. He had a condescending tone (not sure why as his gas station was literally a shit home and messy) he had a lazy attitude and did not offer to hook up the trailer (different from other locations). Not that I needed the help but it reaffirmed his lazy attitude. Upon bringing the unit back I was late and could be the worst customer service person I have seen. Will NEVER rent from uhaul again.

What a joke, tells me to bring the truck back with 1/4 tank of gas and he'll give me a $35 discount. Spend $30 on gas at their gas station and he offers me a $10 discount only. Yeah it's a hair less than 1/4. But it also had less gas in it than you said it did when I picked it up. I am very disappointed pointed with u haul. Try filling your trucks and maintaining them. Broken wiper blades, unstable drive, truck needs a wheel balance.

Box was dirty had to clean it before we could use it . Truck was on empty for gas had to put our own gas in . Wiper on drivers side was ripped off so no wiper on drivers window was dirty and could not clean it .

I had to hook up the dolly my self and check lights my self one side did not work for signal so had to go back inside to tell the guy he then gave me another conection to hook new wires up he did help me with this and it all worked fine after but it did the job and I was happy at the end thanks uhaul

We were over charged for mileage that hadn't been recorded properly. If we hadn't had a picture we wouldn't have been refunded almost $120. We were basically charged double. Then when we brought it back to them to prove the mileage used they still wouldn't refund and said they had to call the manager. When we arrived back home, they called us in for a refund.
