I mean, I used it 7 hours from 11 am to 6 pm, otherwise it was fine
Rolando SimonovisThe entire rental experience was well below what should be considered to be basic customer service. To begin, the equipment that we pre-paid for, a furniture and regular dolly along with furniture blankets, was not available when we picked up the truck. Of course, we relied on this equipment to complete our move. The representative at the pick up site suggested that we attempt to drive to the official Uhaul store where they could rent us the equipment. Further, the truck we rented only had a quarter tank of gas - meaning that upon return we would need to fill the truck up to precisely a quarter tank or face additional charges. This also meant that we would need to put gas in the truck almost immediately after renting, which was a major inconvenience considering we had a fixed window of time in which to use our apartment's moving elevator. Once we arrived at the official Uhaul store to ask for the rental items that were supposed to be in the truck per our contract, we had to wait in a long line only to discover that they did not have a furniture dolly for rent. However, Uhaul had no problem SELLING a furniture dolly to us. Because we needed the furniture dolly to move, we bought the dolly. Overall, this was a terrible experience that only added to the stress of our moving day. The failure to provide the agreed-upon equipment and small amount of gas in the tank completely upended our plans and nearly cost us extra money to complete our move. Everyone we encountered was either blatantly unfriendly and disrespectful or could not have cared less to provide customer service. Will not likely use Uhaul again.

Eduardo DiasThis comment is for both U-Haul corporate and this location. We booked at 20' truck on March 3 with a pick up on March 11 at 10am in Hollywood, FL, approximately 15 minutes from our home. I pre-paid the reservation which was confirmed the day before pick up at this location at 10am. When we got there, a 20' truck was sitting in the parking lot but the shop was not open. When the shop owner showed up at 10:30, we were told that, despite the paperwork in our hand, that wasn't our truck and they has no reservation for us. When I called U-Haul and finally got through I was told that our assigned pick-up was in a town almost an hour away. When I explained that it was unacceptable as 1) this was NOT the location on our confirmation nor was I told it was changed to one so far away and 2) we have movers scheduled to arrive at 12pm and there is no way we could get there and back in time. We asked why we could not take this available, un-rented truck that was sitting right in front of us at the location WE WERE TOLD TO COME FOR PICK UP, we were told no, the "system" doesn't work that way. Um, WTF? Numerous calls and being transferred from one department to another after talking with 15 different people, we were finally sent to an absolutely HORRIBLE location in a sleazy part of Miami. By the time my husband got there, the attendant was rude, insulting, and left him sitting there for 45 minutes. By the time he finally got on the road almost three hours from the time we were to pick up the truck at a pre-paid, pre-assigned location somewhere else, the check engine light came on. The U-Haul corporate scheduling, dispatch and customer service is white hot mess. Save yourself a great deal of aggravation as well as a total waste of time and money. If you must do DIY, call Penske, call Enterprise, call anybody but U-Haul. Oddly enough, their headquarters are here in SoFlo so you'd think the process right in their proverbial back yard would be better managed. But no, U-Haul is They're Awful.

The employer who checked me in for my pick up changed my drop off location despite me explaining to him that I had already done a reservation. When I went to drop off the rental truck I had to wait 1 hour on the phone for customer service to change the drop off location back to my original choice. Horrible experience!

Michael DavilaI had to move locations which added extra miles to my trip. In addition, the brakes on the truck are completely wasted. I had to downshift and use the emergency brake in order to stop as the brake pedal was hitting the floor. This truck requires immediate attention.
Freman PaezMy reservation was for 10:00, when I arrived I was told the truck was not available. I then had to go to a second location, where I was told the truck was leaking power steering fluid. The third location I was sent to finally had a truck that was a different size than what I had reserved. The overall experience was horrible.
Robbin LoweThe truck has a "loose steering" the A/C change the mode by itself. But the worse is that the representative told me that the truck was FULL of gas. I did not pay full attention to the fact that was NOT completely full. I lastv2 hours, i table 44 miles mainly in a highway. I put 4.76 gallons to let the gas meter to be at the same position that I received. But the U haul guy told that it was not enough. I then put 5.74 gallons until it got completely full. How can you explain that this small truck used more than 10 gallons of gas on 44 miles in a highway (Palmetto). This confirm that the tank was not completely full as the guy indicated in the inspection sheet
