The return process when there is no staff is very complicated. I would not go to an unstaffed location again. We called and the agent on the phone was not helpful and a little short with us.

Truck covered in snow. Blocked in by snow. Barely started due to weak battery. No gas in truck
ERIC MWe used the app and digitally checked out at night when the store wasn't opened. It's was easy to do and we were grateful that we didn't have to park the truck overnight at our home.
JULIANNE RI dropped off the truck at night and left the key in the box like the app said. the next day, it had not been 'checked in.' The day after, I got an email from "equipment recovery." It was finally 'checked in', but I would certainly not drop off at this location again, and probably not after hours at all.

Ross CIt took me over an hour to get the rental. The app didn't work right, was an hour behind and wouldn't let me access my reservation. The when it finally did I opened a key box without any keys in it. Finally after an hour a rep called me and had to give me a bigger truck
Jeff PAfter 30mins of waiting to figure out how to get the key, I had to run the truck an additional 25mins to defrost the 4" thick ice all over the truck. While still in the lot, the windsheild wiper was broken off and when I called to report it I now am finding out I might have to pay for something that was broken prior to me even getting the truck. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!
Lucy BIt was evident that there was smoking in the cabin and the smell was obvious. No smoking decals are clearly posted on the driver and the passenger windows. I did provide that feedback to the rental location. The location employees were very helpful and provided excellent customer service.
DALINDA RVery nice people at this location and friendly service, but…Received 6x12 cargo trailer with bone dry brake fluid reservoir. Had to fill it multiple times on trip so it had a leak. One of the tires had very low pressure, filled it to recommended pressure and it steadily dropped during trip due to what I discovered was a screw in the tire that luckily did not blow out during the trip. The front of the trailer leaked and everything packed in the front was wet on bottom when we arrived. This must have been a known issue judging by the amount of caulk that had been applied on the interior seams. I do just want to say that I have rented vehicles and trailers from U-Haul for decades and this is the first time I have had issues. So this does not detract from my overall good opinion of U-Haul. I will rent from them again.
Matthew CKim was very pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately none of us knew how exactly to hitch the trailer up. Next time will be a breeze. I will be using them at least once more for a trailer and once for a truck.
james dSo the lady called me as we were on our way to the place saying that we were late and that there was someone there waiting to rent our uhaul. I told her that we didn't realize there was a scheduled drop off time but that we just had to stop to fill the tank and we'd be there in a few minutes and she said 'no worries'. We arrived 15 minutes after our apparent scheduled drop off time and she said 'great, thanks!' Yet within minutes after we left there, I got a notification saying they charged our card almost $60 more! The email said it was a $40 additional day fee and no explanation on the other $17. But we had rushed to get this to her and were only 15 minutes late! Had we known she was going to charge us for the entire day, we wouldn't have knocked ourself out trying to get it to her. We wanted to turn around and go back to get the truck we just paid to use another day!! Not cool.
Joseph VCharged me for gas even though I filled the tank up. Charged me for extra mileage even though the location I booked a truck wasn't available and I had to go farther to get my truck. I booked the truck 2 months in advance and it still wasn't there.

Carl LDon't overbook trucks to the minute. Don't charge me $40 for being 40 minutes late when you make people drive 90 minutes to get their equipment at a secondary location.

Nazmul IWorst location I've ever been to. Disorganized, charged me double the online quote and took me 2 hours for them to actually give me the truck and still started the time and charged me for the 2 hours I waited. If zero stars was a business it would be this place.
