Keith LThe safety chains needed som replacement parts (hooks and attachment couplers). This didn't effect the usability of the trailer, but had there been an issue I am not sure they were up to the task. The trailer was clean. The staff were very friendly, accommodating and a pleasure to work with.

Brice Dtrailer was provided with a very low tire, was filled at location; however, by the next morning, was nearly flat. As the trailer was loaded I had no choice but to stop and refill the tire every hour until I reached my destination. When I called UHUAL customer support; they offered to CHARGE ME DOUBLE to return the DEFECTIVE TRAILER at my destination. Great customer Service NOT! NO ONE AT UHUAL WAS COMPETENT OR OF VALUE. I will find another provider next time. Good luck with your shitty service and product.

David MUHaul modified my reservation several times due to a lack of equipment availability. This location is quite a distance from my home, but I had no other choice when UHaul changed my pickup spot the night before. The gentleman who assisted me at the pickup location was very helpful

Sharon AWhen returning the vehicle, the man that met me seemed polite and helpful and asked if I was returning. I said yes and he asked for the keys and walked off. I went in and spoke to a lady, she stated that I didn't need to do anything and I could leave. As the man approached the vehicle, he realized my fiance was still there gathering some personal items and threw his hands up and seemed discouraged. I asked if there was an issue, he responded yes, there is a person still here at the vehicle. I let him know we were cleaning the truck of our personal items and he just walked off. My fiance and I grabbed most of our things and placed them in our car. When he saw us at the car, he went back to the Uhaul to check it in. My fiance walked back to the truck to obtain our remaining items and the man said, in a disgusted voice, you still have items in the truck. She said I know and we are getting them. We will identify a different location next time.

Stephen PAt drop off we were charged for fuel that was not needed. The gauge was checked carefully. However the store attendant didn’t want to check the truck while my Husband was there. We received a bill by email after the drop off.
SUSAN DI was first scheduled to pick up at Tireville in Charles Town, WV. With no notice, the proprietor and employees at this location closed it and went to a car show. No one informed me of the possibility of using a code to access the lock box to obtain a key. The U-Haul representative I spoke to at the general phone number did not say I could access the key with a code. I had to drive 1/2 hour and miles out of my way to go to the Foodway market to get the truck. Very unprofessional behavior and very poor customer service.

Ricardo LWithout my knowledge, and with no notification to us, U-Haul changed our reservation to this location which is 26 miles away, when our original reservation was only about 10 miles away. We went to the original location only to have to wait for the call center to open at 9:00 and then to be told that U-Haul on its own had changed our reservation without calling us or letting us know. They said they did this because our requested equipment was not available at the original location. However, I had spent the previous afternoon on the phone with the proprietor of the original location arranging for a vehicle, and while he was waiting for a 10 foot truck to come it, we agreed that I would take a 15 foot truck, even though that was not what we wanted because we had tight spaces we knew we had to go through, and we also didn't want to pay the extra in gas. When we were finally told by the representative on the call in number that our reservation had been changed to a location much farther away, it also was not for the equipment we wanted but was for an even larger truck, a 20 foot truck, which made things even worse. We then had to navigate our entire trip with a much larger truck and spend more money on gas. All of this with virtually no information being provided about what was happening. This was a very frustrating experience. The people at this location were nice enough, although I wanted them to check me in when I returned the truck and not wait until later.
Thompson MI registered to pick up the van in Charles Town WV, and was switched to a different pick up location, twice the distance for pick up and return, however I was compensated for this inconvenience. So all and all it was OK!

Rick PCouldn’t pick up truck at my scheduled time of 7 AM cause truck wasn’t “ready” for the 24/7 ride share. Sat on hood for 1.5 hours being transferred to different people who couldn’t help and truck was extremely old and alternator or battery went out lucky when I was only a few miles away from the drop location

Jennifer MWe were renting a trailer for an extended period to allow us to load it over time due to a recent surgery and the availability of able-bodied help. We made the reservation online, which defaults to a 4 day rental. When I called to ask what the daily rate for additional days was going to be, the store attendant told me $20/day. The rental location is in an area with poor mobile data coverage, and since all the rental agreements take place online, the process was difficult to track. After what felt like a hurried exchange and a credit card swipe, I realized I was being charged far more than the $20/day I had been quoted. Thinking the credit card swipe was for a HOLD and not a PAYMENT, I figured I had time to make phone calls and work it out. I was also told by the location attendant that my receipt was going to be emailed to me. A couple days later when I still hadn't received the receipt, I started the process of calling UHaul by any number I could get ahold of. Several "not our problem, call this number" calls later, I finally got ahold of someone who was able to get me an itemized receipt and who explained that the equipment daily rental rate INCREASES the longer you hold onto it. We would have been better off setting a 4 day rental and holding onto the trailer for as long as we needed, since the $20/day price I was quoted is apparently only available when you hold on to equipment too long. During the process of calling various numbers, I ultimately called the location back, to try to get answers and an itemized receipt. This call ended poorly with, what I felt, was poor customer service and a lack of professional problem ownership.

Andrew LI wish I could a fair and a better opinion about my experience with Mr.Ki snd his wife, but unfortunately I cannot. I was the only customer at their store while my wife was waiting for me outside, Right before I was about to take the photo to my driver’s license, I kindly requested to Mr. Ki to hold on the transaction for a minute, I had sn important phone call to answer. Mr.Ki got upset and negatively knotting with his head complaining that I was “taking away of his time”, he was rude and disrespectful, I complained about his wrong attitude towards me as a customer and I cancelled the transaction. This is the second time that we are not treated in a professional manner by them, I told him that we will never come back to this Uhaul location neither to his store to buy anything from them and left frustrated, we really needed a trailer. We are upset due to the convenient location for us; we’ve being loyal customers to Uhaul for decades, I have never being treated with such disrespect like this in any other place during my whole life. Mr.Ki and his wife do not know how to treat customers with education, they need not to be arrogant with customers and to learn to love their business. We will keep our loyalty to the excellency of other Uhaul services but not to this location, which makes us very upset because it is so convenient being located at a few blocks from our home. DrManuelA GWould like to see pickup trucks at this location I think that would be utilized quite a bit on our mountain as we help move down trees to people that need firewood for the winter especially those on a fixed income and a lot are below poverty level just my thoughts the staff there was extremely kind and helpful

Thomas SThe tire popped on us only 10 miles into the trip. Upon trying to get compensated for the loss of time and use, I was treated with so much disrespect and sexism that I am now fully committed to making this fact known to the public in an effort to protect women from the harsh treatment that I was subjected to. I was treated with blatant disregard and deflection, gas lighting, and shame were all attempted strategies utilized by a supervisory staff member when I insisted on working with the facts of the case, not his approximated truths. Your service response is subpar and your choice of management is disgraceful. As I have contacted the customer service line and been hung up on, emailed the service department with no response, and posted my complaint on social media, I will not be silenced until this company, at the corporate level, have acknowledged and appropriately dealt with this level of poor customer service, sexism, and discrimination.

LAURA JNever received itemized invoice of my charges. The cell phone service in the area is very bad making mobile pick up very hard. This store probably shouldn’t offer mobile pick up, or at least understand this may cause a delay for their customers time with equipment and adjust accordingly.
