I wish I could a fair and a better opinion about my experience with Mr.Ki snd his wife, but unfortunately I cannot. I was the only customer at their store while my wife was waiting for me outside, Right before I was about to take the photo to my driver's license, I kindly requested to Mr. Ki to hold on the transaction for a minute, I had sn important phone call to answer. Mr.Ki got upset and negatively knotting with his head complaining that I was â€œtaking away of his timeâ€, he was rude and disrespectful, I complained about his wrong attitude towards me as a customer and I cancelled the transaction. This is the second time that we are not treated in a professional manner by them, I told him that we will never come back to this Uhaul location neither to his store to buy anything from them and left frustrated, we really needed a trailer. We are upset due to the convenient location for us; we've being loyal customers to Uhaul for decades, I have never being treated with such disrespect like this in any other place during my whole life. Mr.Ki and his wife do not know how to treat customers with education, they need not to be arrogant with customers and to learn to love their business. We will keep our loyalty to the excellency of other Uhaul services but not to this location, which makes us very upset because it is so convenient being located at a few blocks from our home. The tire popped on us only 10 miles into the trip. Upon trying to get compensated for the loss of time and use, I was treated with so much disrespect and sexism that I am now fully committed to making this fact known to the public in an effort to protect women from the harsh treatment that I was subjected to. I was treated with blatant disregard and deflection, gas lighting, and shame were all attempted strategies utilized by a supervisory staff member when I insisted on working with the facts of the case, not his approximated truths. Your service response is subpar and your choice of management is disgraceful. As I have contacted the customer service line and been hung up on, emailed the service department with no response, and posted my complaint on social media, I will not be silenced until this company, at the corporate level, have acknowledged and appropriately dealt with this level of poor customer service, sexism, and discrimination.Britiany C.

Not for renting enclosed trailers. During over 16 years We've being renting Uhaul vehicles and trailers without having to have to lift by ourselves a very heavy trailer tongue to be connected to the hitch of our vehicle. In the past Uhaul vendors always connected the trailers to the hitch for us, but not in this case The vendor was not to happy helping us, we had an argument in which vendors kind of forced us to lift the heavy trailer by ourselves, he argued that it was written in the contract, I am sorry I did not read a thousand little tinny letters from it; at the end he helped us. It was very disappointing, also painful for my back and I supposed painful for his back too, customers shouldn't have to do it; unfortunately my spine is not doing good due to lumbar problems. I suggested to the vendor for him to request a dolly from you or any other tool that could help the vendor to provide a better service. We were very upset to have to argue with them, We do not want to rent trailers anymore from them until Uhaul help the vendor with a proper tool to lift whatever trailer is needed. The vendor mentioned that he has requested for a dolly and that he has being ignored by Uhaulâ€¦ Really? It is not fair for customers neither for the vendor to have to do it in a regular basis without having an appropriate tool to lift the tongue of the trailer in order to be easily connected to the customer's vehicle. The truck had a seriously compromised driver's side wiper blade. Not normally a big deal but it was a wet, grey and rainy day and my visibility was seriously impaired. I tried to tell the woman behind the counter and she flat out ignored me. Also, this location has a set up of four lockboxes stacked vertically. My key was in the top one. I am 5 foot 2 and could not reach the lock or the box. Again, it was cold an rainy and miserably and it took me 20 minutes to find something to stand on. Finally, apparently this location opens at 10 in the summer and 11 in winter. Only the UHaul site said 10--period. Ended up having to do the remote sign in which had enough problems for another whole response.Anita F.

I reserved a sprinter type van to move a Queen size mattress. However, the van offered was a standard van, which does not fit a queen size mattress. The location did allow me to switch to an available 15 ft truck, but you should differentiate between the different van styles to avoid this type of problem.David U.

My experience was extremely frustrating yet it has nothing to due with the service at the pickup location. 1) Your online reservation system is either poorly constructed or your business is unethical. You online reservation system showed a 20' truck in my town for my in-town move. After I booked my reservation, you changed the pickup and drop off location to one 30 miles away! Of course you changed me for the milage for the 60 miles more than doubling the cost of the truck! 2) Doing online pick up works great unless you are in valley in West Virginia where there is barely any cell coverage!Michael G.

I could not get the internet to accept my location. I could not get anyone on the 24-hour line. I had no way to check in the return of the truck which means I most likely got charged for the $20 fee.Victoria P.
Unfortunately, cell access in that location seemed slow and I had issues uploading my pictures trying to complete my online rental; fortunately the proprietor was there and quickly took care of the issue on his computer. Other than the cellphone access issue, service was excellent. Proprietor was very helpful and friendly.Erik H.
You can improve by not telling someone they can pick up their truck at a certain time then a few hours later say your truck is not available try to give me a truck 40 mi away said they would give me a break in the cost of mileage but yet I would spend $3 about every 5 MI contributions and they call that giving me a break ended up with a truck from only 8:00 at night until 10:00 in the morning and was still charged full price so I think U-Haul as a company not the individual I rented the truck from sucks enormous tools I would not recommend them to anyone especially my friendscharles B.

This is more difficult location for a large vehicle with tow. We were extremely lucky to find a spot to park when checking back in. Someone had blocked the main lot. Without that parking spot, it would have been a nightmare. In the mountains, no road shoulder , no way to back up or turn around. We had a 26' truck with tow bed. This was by far the worst experience I have had using UHaul!! The store was not open on time -- due to COVID. I was sent to a location (the night before pickup) where there is no internet service, however, it was well noted that I was using mobile pick up! (Despite everything else, the owner was very nice and as helpful as he could be under the circumstances!) I LOST 5 HOURS - waiting just to get the truck! I was moving that day and everything was based on a timely transition of my items. THE DAY ENDED IN DISASTER. So much was riding on the timely move of the furniture from the storage unit to the new location -- I MISSED EVERYTHING. The day was a total waste -- of my TIME & MONEY! I am so angry and disappointed. I will send a separate letter to the corporate office.TIAJUANA S.

I made my reservation weeks in advanced online. I called the store to change my rental date. They stated my reservation didn't exist (even though Uhaul sent me an email with a confirmation and reservation number). The person who answered the phone was rude. I had to then make a new reservation by phone! Terrible customer service by Uhaul!! I made a reservation several weeks in advanced at Aces Vaccumes in Leesburg VA for a 20 foot truck. They allowed the previous customer to extend their rental. Uhaul then sent to me via text the day before my move, that my pickup location changed to 30 miles away from my house and out of my way!! I called multiple Uhaul 800 numbers and each rep was useless and advised me there is nothing they could do. I then was told to contact a local number in VA. I did, they couldn't help with my situation but agreed to give me extra miles. I had to make special arrangements for someone to get the truck on my behalf. When they arrived their check in process was delayed by over 30 mins because the location has no internet ability and they had to do everything on their phone! Absolutely terrible experience. This is my first and last time I will ever use Uhaul!! Why make a reservation in the first place?! Clearly Uhaul doesn't care about their customers or their time and moving situation!Michael W.
