Have a clean truck. Provide a little more organization and room for the checkout. Stop with all the redundant entry - stuff I entered online, I had to re-enter on the little terminal. This could be a lot smoother.Duane W.

The service Rep for U-Haul @ Food City called me to confirm pick up b4 closing. Upon arrival is was friendly, professional and very helpful. I will definitely use this location in the future and will recommend it to others as well cheers!Loralee H.
Car had snow built-up on it when I picked it up; parking was poor, as there were surrounding cars and other obstacles everywhere; a dangerous area, especially to be backing-up such a large cargo van in such a small space.piotr K.

I rented a van from your uhaul dealer and was SCAMMED. I called to make the reservation and told them no for the extra coverage/ insurance. Then when we picked up the car, no coverage was selected on the computer screen, and we verbally told the u haul dealer â€œno coverage or insuranceâ€. When we saw the charge for insurance on the bill, the dealer said â€œit's part of the estimate and you will not be charged thatâ€. When we received our bill, we were in fact charged that $15 insurance fee. I then called the dealer, and was hung up on twice, and then they refused to give me their name, and refused to issue a refund. These people should not be allowed to represent the U haul name. My next steps are calling the police and the Better business Bureau to report this fraud. This is not about the money to me at all, but rather that they lied and scammed me, and then were rude and hung up on me and refused to tell me their name.liz B.
I rented a van for 9am, which is non-working hours at the location. I was ok with online check-in, but in the confirmation message I got was 10am, working hours. I've noticed this change only one day before the booking, when it was too late to change a location. The van I got was covered in snow and there was no brash provided. The van itself was covered in dirt, including side windows and mirrors. I had to roll down the window to check my surroundings. In the middle of the rental the washer fluid ran off, so the windshield window was no help too. This was quite unsafe ride. On the positive note, the staff is friendly and I wasn't overcharged for anything. Hence two stars, not one.Vasily S.

Fantastic experience. There was two gentlemen that helped me out, when I came to pick up and then when I dropped off. Both were very helpful. I returned the truck a few minutes late but the gentleman that was there in the evening was very understanding and professional. He indicated to me some customers are anxious or angry when moving out and they tend to take out their frustrations on the reps when something doesn't go exactly according to plan. It's too bad they have to go through that as they are both wonderful people and the customer service was exceptional. ¡Gracias!Dominik M.

Shady u-haul location. Vehicles engine light was on. They also had a note on the contract stating there was metal tape on front bumper and the customer acknowledges there could be water damage, but never did they mention this to me and it appears the customer would be on the hook for this. Also returning the u-haul late at night was extremely dangerous and unsafe as this was in a dark alley with no lights just off 17th avenue. There were several people milling around in the dark alley which was unsafe - please install lights!!!!! Unfortunately, I will never be renting from this location again.Brian H.

Engine had no oil, given to us with engine dash lights on. Someone let a cat live in the front cab, smelled of urine. Owner failed to show up for on time and was 30m late. Location closed early as well and could not return manually when web services were down. Was extremely difficult to use the app to return the truck, had to call in bc site was down.Damon E.

Although they took care of us well, the customer who had the truck before us was almost 2 hours late and without more available at that location, it was very stressful.Marja B.
I found that their was only one person at the counter at the time I picked up the van and one behind the counter when I delivered. I think there should be two, one for the store and when needed one to handle the U-haul at times when many people in the store. That way inspection of vehicle on return alows one person at the cash register.John L.

The location was great and very convenient, however it wasn't clear that we needed to go behind the building to find the van. The van was "clean enough" for re-use but it smelled REALLY BAD, like a barn to be exact. There was no where to indicate that on the check-out information without marking it as not being clean. Also, the windshield was cracked but didn't want to indicate it as damage to the body or halt my rental. I would have liked to have seen some COVID-19 precautions taken. The steering wheel was "sticky" so it was evident it had not been cleaned between uses. It would also be nice to have a bottle of hand sanitizer available in the van for use. Overall the check-in/check-out process was quite smooth but the check-in was a little more onerous than I had anticipated. Thought I had done all the pre-check items and wasn't anticipating the additional time it took to take pictures of me, my driver's license, the van and also waiting for the approval. I think some of this could have been done ahead of time or at least some list of what to expect at check-in. Overall the process was very good though. Appreciated being able to book this after hours and completing most of the items on my phone rather than waiting in line for someone to be available. I would use it again and recommend it to others. The vehicle was damaged (broken windshield/windscreen), dirty inside and outside (outside doesn't really matter but inside it does, mainly during the Corona/Covid times). The Rental Pick Up Location tried to argue with me the refuel was not enough and the quantity was not the same as when I got the vehicle (I took pictures before and after - still have them - and even so I was charged for the fuel). Will not recommend this place in the future and do no intend to come back.Matheus S.

Vehicle was not clean, went to drive and the vehicle did not have any windshield wiper fluid. This location was not properly staffed either, he said his workers had called in sick and he was by himself. A little short and was rushed in all his processes.Darren V.

DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE. When I rented the van, the agent told me to return the van's gas tank full. When I did, to my shock , I paid for 19$ worth of gas when I had only driven 22 KM. The person I dealt with refused to tell me why it would cost almost a dollar per KM. He just kept saying "if you had a problem with us telling you that the gas tank was full, you should told us before you started the rental". In other words he was saying I should not have believed them and it was my tough luck that I left without checking the gas gauge, after they repeatedly told me it was full, which was exactly what it said on the form. Also the person who took my credit card I when rented the vehicle assured me that I could pay for the rental with a debit card when I returned it. Of course, the same guy who couldn't tell me why the gas cost almost a dollar per KM also refused to let me pay with a debit card. They guy is a master of talking in circles and he is VERY. dishonest. Also the van was very dirty inside and out. Finally, this Uhaul franchise operates out of a grocery store and they don't have enough employees to run their business and book rental vans. I had to wait a long time 3 out of 4 times that I was there because they were booking the vans and serving their other customers.Louise J.
Well, I said yes to clean because we had covers and tarps for items we wanted to keep clean. The back of the van could have used a sweep and hose down if you did have tarps and covers and planned to move something you did not want dirty. Also we had done everything on line and we had a confirmed booking but it seemed to be a waste of time as we had to do everything again when we go there.The folks at the location were great though.
