the tires were literally bald, i had asked if they had snow tires as its snowing out n they said yes, could barely back up vehicle bc the tires were so bald, n had to go extremly slow on the way to return truck bc it was a snow storm. otherwise the company TA AUto was very kind and helpful, i definately recomend using theyre comany. My wife and I rented the truck to pick up bedroom furniture we purchased. We contacted the store person and provided our information and credit card because we were picking the truck up early. We have rented from this location recently over the past two years. While in route to pick up the furniture Jeff called me and explained there was an issue with the credit card. Checking my email there was an alert of fraudulent activity on the card and to contact Capitol One. In the meantime we gave him my wife's card number. Both cards were from the same account, which had been locked. When I placed the cell phone in the center console it slid into the 1/2 inch gap leading into the shroud and we could not retrieve it. When I returned home I removed the cover retrieved my cell phone and called the store. It was explained that the card did not work and many other incidents including we were not going to pay for the truck! I was asked if I had cash and I said yes and would bring it down immediately. When my wife and I arrived we were mortified to see that heavy machinery was placed within inches of our front and rear bumper, pinning in our vehicle!! I paid the store contact showed him where the cell phone fell into. I understand the Owner deals with nefarious people at other locations and treated us as such. We live 8 miles from the store for 24 years, rented 4 times in the recent past, and I am a law enforcement officer with more than 20 years. If I painted you with the same brush of disdain the owner treated us with you would be pedophiles, thieves and drug dealers. I don't want to debate, nor a refund or apology. This store has received the last of our money, not that it was any great sum. Do I have less than positive view of U-Haul? yes. Be honest. We were quoted $350 for a trailer for 7 days. Returned in 5 days & were charged $907!!! Now guy said trailer rental was $775 with additional fees. Lights didn't work & tires were worn.JOSEPH C.

Give them their receipts upon completion of use. I was told I would receive an email with my completed price, which I have never gotten. My fiance hasn't gotten hers either. The manager didn't seem to have knowledge of the procedures.Mark R.
I pre-paid online in order to make the pick up quick and easy, and it still took 45 minutes to get the keys, as the gentleman re-entered all the information I'd already done. He even tried to run my credit card again, even though he had my receipt (though I checked later and was not charged twice). Then he had to clean the front of the truck and mark any dents/dings on the truck itself. At the end of a very long day, those 45 minutes were just enough for me to miss making it to the drop off location before closing time, which included the only gas station for miles, so the night was spent driving all over looking for gas, just to turn around and go back to the drop off location. If there is a next time, I hope the pre-pay is actually worth it.Cala G.
We had no problem with the local retailer, who was apologetic and helpful with our extremely frustrating experience renting this u-haul trailer. Upon arrival it took 2 hours before we could leave with our trailer because of a problem with the corporate computer system not allowing our contract to be processed. The local Findley Lake retailer spent the entire time on the phone and on computers trying to work this out. It is so sad that the local retailer is not allowed to just do paper work rather than depend on the problematic computer system and get his renter on the road. This was a huge inconvenience to our family who was awaiting our arrival to help move furniture. We were also told that we would be charged for 2 rental days - pick up on Friday and drop off on Sunday. It was discussed that, although this particular rental place is closed on Sunday we could drop the trailer anytime Sunday afternoon and we would be charged for the 2 day period. When we finally left on Friday, after the computer problems, it was about noon. Our return on Sunday was approximately 4-4:30 pm. Although this was a few hours more than a 48 hours period we had been told that this was okay and we would still be charged for the 2 rental day period. I believe that should be credited at least the one day extra rental day that we were charged. However, I also believe that U-Haul should consider even a greater refund for the extreme inconvenience. Again, this had NOTHING to do with the local retailer, who was wonderful, but with the corporate offices. This was our first experience with U-Haul and could have been much better.Grant S.

This was the guys first rental and he did well. I did have to wait for him to change a battery for someone before helping us and was unsure where to go but once he arrived he was a pleasant fellow to deal with. I was his FIRST customer, YAY! But the uhaul experience before him was awful. I had a reservation scheduled and contacted uhaul to change the date due to the weather (I had to plow aka work) and they said it was done. So I show up to the rental location and they didn't have me. The rental place cancelled my reservation (didn't call me so I had no idea - I assumed it was fine bc uhaul cust svce told me they changed the pickup date). Instead of blowing up I called uhaul and the lady on the phone bent over backward to help me find someplace that was open (being this was new years eve). Only problem was my rate doubled from the original booking and IU had to travel 40 miles beyond my original p/u location. But getting the truck was nice. just notify people before you 'cancel' their reservation so they know not to show up.TONY K.
