Hidden fees and charges. I would never recommend U-HAUL to anyone! This is the wrong way to run a business!

Back left tire low air sensor was faulty. It said 0 psi on the dashboard. But the tire had plenty of air.

Edmund RI was suppose to pick up a 10ft truck at Woodlane Pharmacy on \Throckmorton Lane in Old Bridge NJ at 11 am. I got an email saying i had to go to an Exxon gas station on Rt 9 which is further down the road from where I I had to go. When i got there they didn't have the truck after waiting 45 minutes. I then had to take a 15ft truck which I certainly didn't need and pay an extra $10 plus the extra mileage to get it back to this Rt 9 location. Even after all that disapointment the truck was really filthy dirty. It was greasy all along the back where you might rest your items before putting them in the truck. The inside was also extremely dirty and greasy. All in all I was very disappointed in this rental. I have rented from U-Haul before and never ever have I experienced anything like this. I don't think I would ever rent from U-Haul again. I asked for some consideration in the price due to having to take a bigger truck and the extra mileage I would incur but was told that's the price I cant change it. It was just a bad experience.
Martha RDid not have the u haul I reserved. Had to get U-Haul without ramp which made things more difficult. Furniture trolley were dirty and wet from being outside. Had to clean them before I could use them

Alexandra RThe 15 feet truck given to me was damaged. It was previously in an accident. The truck was mis-aligned and would to right and steering wheel was not straight. The brakes were not in good condition. There was a giant hole in the truck by previous accident. It was totally unsafe to drive a truck in this condition. I had no choice that's why I had to rent this truck.

Leszek KWindows were left open and it was raining I had to wipe both seats down before driving. Gas tank was at 1/4 tank I was told to return it at a 1/4 tank. I returned it with 3/4 tank because I had filled it before my trip. I feel if you rent a car or truck you should get it with a filled tank and return it with a full tank.

Michael BThe check in and check process was difficult and very slow. The equipment was absolutely disgusting and not maintained. There were around 10 half filled water bottles throughout the truck, a half filed cup of coffee and a container of cough syrup in the truck. The equipment was also left outside and again clearly not maintained. I would never go back to this location again.
Sean BI only used 12miles and a total of 75miles was charged. Luckily I took the picture of the mileage before and after. still waiting for a return on my credit card.

Nesrin ZClerk and contract stated incorrect fuel level on truck - tank was about 8 gallons short of where they claimed it was. Truck had a strong smell in the cabin.

Cassandra CThe uhaul WAs clean however the truck stopped and stalled multiple times during my trip on a highway. Also the ac only worked when it was not accelerating. I am extremely disappointed with the service in store when I was letting them know they were very dismissive and basically said oh well you have to call uhaul I would love to speak to someone considering this truck could have killed me and the passenger!

Corcino PBetter communication between the vendor and supplier. The contract changed twice not by my doing. Once for the original pick up and drop off locations. The time was the time frame of having the vehicle. Prior to picking up at the new location the contract was changed again, after explaining the contract was wrong the attendant at the Exxon location was very rude and unbecoming. The cab of the vehicle was not cleaned, debris and empty cigarette packs were inside. Inside the storage portion had belongings and garbage of whoever used it last.

Steven ROur reservation was confirmed for 15'' truck but we did not get it when we went there for pickup. We had to take the small truck as we did not has any choice and it was hard move the items.
Chirag PI have pictures of the trash, found in the back of the truck… dirty used cardboard, empty beer bottles, wood with large nails sticking out. I am also disputing the fuel charges and associated fees. I drove less than 10miles, refilled the tank to 1/4 tank which is the amount that was provided at pick up. When I spoke to gas station attendant he just said ok and went back on his cellphone.
Ann PThe truck I got needs maintenance. I mean seriously that truck was not going above 40mph.They also charge me extra money I only drove 37 miles and they charge me 50$ plus 30$ for gas . And I showed that guy that I already put gas. I wish I can give zero rating. So many more things to write leave it. PLEASE PLEASE be aware before you go at this place. I hope they don't do this with other customers.

Steven ZUpon driving down the road about five miles low fuel light came on , when I stopped at location about 11 miles away from pick when opening back door there was a bunch of saturated moving blankets from the previous renter told vendor when I returned truck he was apologetic and said previous employee must not have inspected truck
eugene hIt was pretty easy to reserve, and pick up, and use the equipment. I got charged for fulling the tank even though it matched what my contract said. I got a refund for the charge but I had to call.
