The mobile app didn't work so the clerk said come inside. He not only stopped each time he had a customer he had to eventually switch trucks as he was unable to locate the keys to the 17" truck I'd reserved. All that cost us about an hour delay and we had a tight time schedule.Sandra S.

We got to the location and it turned out to be a tiny gas station. We went into the store and asked about the Uhual, a guy made a call and then pointed to the trailer for us to use He did not help us at all with hook up or anything. Thankfully my boyfriend had all the stuff we needed and figured it out.Brittany K.

This is my worst experience of renting a Uhaul truck. I went to location prior to my pickup date to change my pickup date. This was a mistake! When I received the text and the voicemail to go to the SC address to pick up at first I was shocked leaving NCTo picking up in SC. Oh well I need the truck so I had my sSon to drive me. I called at 7:00am to tell them I was leaving work early to pickup and I would be no later than 12 I spoke with a male voice whom stated this was not a problem. I get to SC and get in line at the convenience store and the clerk tells me I can not rent the truck and they don't have a truck for me. Yes he told me no truck for me. In a panic I call customer service and the representative name Christina said yes they do have a truck for you per what the system is showing they have a truck for a one way. The clerk at the store is telling me he has to call his Boss due to his Boss told he could not rent the truck. After stating at the store for 1 hour and being on the phone with the customer representative who final got the store to give me the rental I had booked online. Then. I go to open the door it's full of mud, tire needs air, and it was truly a MESS! So of course now I have got to clean it call back to customer service because I don't want to get hit with a fee that I didn't do. This location should not be allowed to rent anything to anyone. I was charged for the wrong sized vehicle and also my contract said the tank was full but when I got to the truck the fuel level was under quarter tank. In turn i was charged twice for a fuel charge after returning the vehicle. The hassle of calling uhaul several time just to process the return for my fuel was a complete hassle. I am very unsatisfied with this entire Transaction and do not plan to use nor recommend uhaul ever again.Anastasia M.

Our experience with uhaul was awful. The truck used was old so old that it broke down twice. We called to have it jumped lost an hour + of our time on the reservation. Then it died again we got it jumped. The truck is unsafe, barely driveable and unacceptable to be rented out! Do not recommend when you express all the trouble you had and then are still required to pay full price for the truck rental. Uhaul customer service was awful the uhaul location was fine, I guess nothing they could have done when customer service wouldn't do it!Loretta R.

Had to pick up at a convenience store, with just one person in the store. He had to do all transaction on his phone. Just gave me the key and I had to go to a back lot and search for my truck. There were some minor scratch damage on one side of the truck, which when unnoticed by the pick up convenience store. The gas was on half a tank which means I then had to fill it up and had to gauge a half tank fill up upon returning.Terry G.

Sunday drop off no one there. The problem was Uhauls APP. Would not let me include pictures of trailer inside. Had to call and use call back that person was excellent and helped a good bit.DAVID D.
Clean truck between customers, especially in the covid world we live in now ... trash was all in the cabin of truck , wires hanging from underneath steering wheel, truck out of alignment, also , back of truck was filthy with broken glass everywhere and trash left behind from previous customers.. on top of all of that when I picked up the truck there was no gas in it .. zero ... before I left I had to fuel it (at their location ) (with higher gas prices) . I was also told I could not return the truck to a closer location to where we moved . So I had to pay for milage to move to our new location... plus returning it back to that location . I was told after asking the Exxon manager from the rental site multiple times that I could drop the 6' x 12' trailer off in Bluffton, SC as the manager at the Exxon Mart told me he would open up all locations in this area. Upon trying to return the trailer in Bluffton and wasting fuel and time, I was told that they did not accept trailers and to call the 866 number for UHaul. I called the 866 number and was told the closest location was in Savannah which was a 38 mile drive one way from where I was at which did not work. I ended up researching on my own and called the 866 number back and they helped me locate a drop off location that worked better for me from a convenience standpoint on my way back upstate SC. Also, when I set up the reservation, I needed a dolly/hand cart and selected this, however, the Exxon Mart told me upon my arrival that they did not have one so I had to borrow one from a friend. The trailer equipment was clean and worked well, however, the manager of the Exxon clearly gave me a line of S**T just to appease me upon rental. The manager did not help or show me how to hook up the trailer which I figured out and I had to lift the trailer by myself to connect to my hitch.Douglas B.

I was overcharged for the use of this truck. I took pictures of all the gauges when I picked up the truck. They didn't have me sign a contract or anything. Just handed me the keys. I reserved online and was given 1400 miles. I went 1358. I was charged by the mile. That is incorrect and needs to be refunded.Bryan H.

Experience caused substantial delay. The mobile check in process crashed 3 times, I waited for 25 minutes calling in to the 1800 number without an answer, and the dolly I reserved was not in the truck nor was I able to get one from the gas station attendant. I was forced to wait until the following morning to rent a dolly at a different location and was charged for the origional dolly I never received. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a rental truck and will never use Uhaul again.Michael A.

When I arrived at 9AM on 10/29/2020, a teenager was the one who rented me the 6x12 trailer and told me to hook it up and drive around to the front so he can take a picture. As I'm connecting it, he comes out and says he has to do the chains for me. He did not connect them properly, they were literally dragging the ground and the rubber latches were left unsecure. The trailers lighting wire extension was ripped to shreds but luckily my truck wiring is long enough. He took the broken extension with him. 2nd, the brake fluid was missing the cap but the rubber gasket was still there and looked like fluid was full and uncontaminated. I had to take the cap off of another trailer, a car hauler. He didnt check the lights either, I had to ask him to go to the back and check them while I operated them. They should not let customers hook up trailers. It is very dangerous but it was a good thing I knew how because I'm not sure he'd even be able to lift it onto the hitch. Dont get me wrong, he was very nice. The owner of the store shouldn't put him in that position. When I returned the trailer at 8AM on 10/31/2020. I went into the store and the owner told me to unhook it and go, he will take care of it. He didn't offer to unhook or inspect. So, I'm not even sure yet if he put it in the system that it was returned and returned early. Thank you.Derek D.
