I think it would be nice to keep the customers info on file for at least a six mo. period when they have already rented other items from U-haul within the six mo period therefor wouldn't have to go through the long form process that would be nice, I have found you go back the next week and have to do it all over again with no changes to the customers info. THANKS

This was not the location that I had requested for pickup. In fact it was 27 miles from my house! I had ordered on line well in advance to be picked up at a location about 2 miles from home. It seems that an organization like u haul would have the logistical ability to make a trailer available where needed. Incidentally, there are at least 3 uhaul pickup sites within less than 10 miles from my home.

Tell customers they will be charged if they MOVE the darn dolly. We took the dolly out because it was in the way THEN we were charged for its usage. That wasn't fair. We didn't use it we just took it out because it was using up space we needed.

The 5x8 trailer I rented was old, had missing tie down points, missing bumper rails, hitch was harder than normal to adjust and had burned out marker lights. Staff at location I picked up & dropped off were very helpful, knowledgeable & friendly.

The drop off location was a little hard to determine at night and after hours. I ended up making another trip back in the morning to drop the trailer off. The person was very helpful and offered assistance in removing the trailer from the hitch. She also suggested having someone stand on the back of the trailer as a counter-balance. This worked ok. Regarding the overall process: This is a system problem. The website failed to allow me to do this but online. I called the 800# to reserve. When I went to check in online on day of pickup, no reservations we're listed. Also, noone called me the day before to tell me where the pick-up location was.

Staff at the facility was great. However, checkout took about 45 minutes, way too long for a trailer.

The truck I rented needs a tune up! The engine did not want to go above 50 easily - even empty. at 55 the rpms kept ramping up but it did not want to change gears. It sounded like a diesel engine - and its not. Valves rattling. The Tow Haul button was on when I left the site empty. It took me the first 20+ miles to figure out how to turn it off. I even called the 800 # for customer service. Got transferred twice and finally ended up waiting in a que for roadside assistance since no one else knew what it was or how to turn it off. I was getting ready to hang up after figuring it out myself and someone actually answered. I explained that I had already figured it out after waiting so long for help. This person at least knew what I was talking about. Apparently this is a common request. The "tow haul" feature came on going up even a slight hill and also kept randomly sticking on. I was not towing anything and even only carried a half load last night. This morning I was only carrying a 1/4 load of totes. my kitchen chairs, 2 sets of twin bed rails and some drawers left over from yesterday. It still kept popping on, especially when going uphill. Apparently this truck needs maintenance. I got around 8 miles per gallon driving at 50 mph! Most of my miles were empty miles. Its very frustrating to use substandard equipment. The office staff was very nice and helpful but the computer system was a bit slow. I am hoping to find a better vehicle to compete my move in 2 weeks.

Need more trucks close to home for one way trips. I had to drive 15 miles out of my way just to get a truck. That used up a lot of my time.

The ladies in the office were extremely nice but I was taken on a wild goose hunt to find a tow trailer that was promised to be in a different location, and then offered no refund for the lost hours and extra expense this caused me. It was an absolute nightmare experience, and I am deeply disappointed by UHaul's lack of apology, refund or care.

this was the worst rental experience I have ever had. Uhaul moved my reservation 60 miles away without letting me know. customer service refused to allow me any consideration for the extra miles I would have to drive and because I could only get a smaller truck than the one I reserved. I am going back to Penske I will never use Uhaul again.

I requested Hayes, VA location and received a location that was nearly 20 miles away requiring a $55 cab ride. Also, I requested a 26' truck and recieved a 20 ft truck plus a 12 ft trailer - while equal in space, the trailer reduced gas mileage - combined, I may have spent an extra $75-100 than planned.

1. The truck consumed 12 gallon of gas for about 100 miles. 2. My original pick up location was white stone. The representative guy at white stone was unable to provide the truck. And the worst part is he couldn't cooperate to look for another option until I pushed him to do so. Even the worst of all, when my friend and me go to the office to ask why he fails to provide the truck, he denies and pretends that his office had no any scheduled pick up for any truck and he didn't talk to any one over the phone. And he directed us to a Lancaster office where we met a nice lady. Although it is nothing to do with our schedule pick up she helped us. After the head office lady coordinate our pickup from gloucester We finally drive 30 miles and picked up the truck. It was a horrible circumstance for me

I wanted to be able to pick up on Richmond Road in Williamsburg and booked several weeks in advance so that I could pick up at the Williamsburg location. I didn't find out until 24 hours before my pickup that I would have to send my dad 35 miles away to pick up the trailer on the day of my graduation awards ceremony; to make matters worse, the Gloucester location has very short hours on Saturdays. Everyone was really nice, and everything worked out in the end and my dad made it to the awards ceremony, but I think Uhaul should be more accommodating of people like me who book in advance to ensure that the equipment is where it needs to be. Again-- all employees at the Gloucester location were very kind and accommodating.

Get rid of the old 4x8 trailers. I thought that I was going to get one of the newer 4x8's, and all that they had was one of the old ones. It worked, did what I needed, held what I needed to load, but it is a real pain in the back moving cartons of books (heavy!) without the room to stand and use your leg muscles.

I was upset that I had to pay for insurance on this van when my insurance company covers me. I have been able in the past 5 rentals to decline insurance on other vehicles and was forced to pay this time and was told Ford makes them charge. Helps the business get to $200 a month which they have to meet. That is not my problem and and is just another way to screw the customer out of money

Cassidy, whom I spoke with on the phone confirming and arranging pick up was very professional and helpful. Brenda, who helped me check out the truck was very friendly and helped me with a concern I had over drop off. Everything was easy. Great experience overall.
