Move the U-Haul pickup location. Lesson learned many years ago: you don't buy paint at K-Mart, you buy it at a paint store. So why is U-Haul renting trucks from a flea market????

richard cMake sure that the dolly is ordered was on the truck as I was told it would be. I had to return to this location to pick up the dolly. I'm sure that it was an honest oversight
Gary OI reserved a 26' UHaul along with movers from the UHaul app and when I arrived to pick up the UHaul, they told me they didn't have the truck. They said the person who had the truck requested an extension by calling the 1-800 number. We located a 15' truck, however, it was not big enough and I was required to do multiple trips, get charged for additional miles and pay more for the the movers since there was travel to/from the locations and waiting time for the truck since I had to drive to another location to pick up the 15' truck. I called UHaul and a Regional transportation person by the name of "John", was EXTREMELY unprofessional. John became frustrated while I was explaining the situation, told me he would authorize a $50 credit and that was it. When I inquired about miles reimbursement, he became irritated and said I had no idea how many miles I was talking about, to call back after the move and told me I should be focused on the move. Several times during the conversation he told me that I should be focused on moving and he then said "bye" and hung up on me. I will be reaching out to a corporate office. The way John spoke to me was not acceptable. My move was extremely stressful and costly due to UHaul's error.
KIM BMy location for the 5x8 trailer pick up was scheduled on Sunday 12Jan, 2025, locally at Enterprise Flea Market, 2408 Route 301 Ellenton, FL 34222, which is a 10 minute drive from my Parrish FL home. , I confirmed the Ellenton pick up verbally on the phone. I received a late e-mail that I did not know about which stated the pick location was changed to another U Haul that was over a 45 minute drive from my home. ( I would have never rented from that distance). I arrived at the original U-haul in Ellenton where I had rented from numerous times in the past. Both the owner of the Flea Market in Ellenton and my self where puzzled that my trailer rental was changed to the much further u-haul, considering that the 5x8 trailer was available at the local original location at the flea market 10 minutes from my home. Therefore, the rental was re-done and I picked up the trailer from Ellenton with no further issues. I called the U-haul office to cancel the strange Bradenton rental. The representative could not understand why my original appointment was changed from Ellenton to Bradenton. The original U-Haul where I did eventually rent from in Ellenton Flea Market was never notified that my pick up location was changed either. The U-Haul representative was apologetic and said I would receive a call back and a partial credit for the unnecessary mix up. I never received a call or e-mail about the incident which I reported Sunday 12Jan, 2025, 11 days ago. Sincerely, W. Raymond Schrek
ray sOrdered appliance dolly and one wasn't available. They gave one with rubber coming off tires and not for appliances. Very disappointing.

Kirk GLousy experience AGAIN. I had called the original location Saturday to confirm late night delivery. Yup, all good they said. Get there, no reservation. Now the 800 number, gets me to another location. This happened before and y'all did nothing. This time was a major inconvenience, further away, more miles, wasted time. And I was charged for the dolly I didn't get. If you do nothing again, just try me, I will dispute the charges.
ANDREW ZDid not realize that my pickup was a mobile pickup so I had to contact U-Haul to process the order before I could pickup the truck- I don’t believe that was clear when I made the reservation.
Deborah GThis location was great. It's the whole U-Haul experience that was beyond unacceptable. I went to no less than 4 U-Haul locations. This is the only one that was hopeful and adding value.

John MI reserved a 5x8 trailer one month before I needed it. The day before my reserved date I received notice that they didn't have my size trailer and were going to substitute a 6x12. This was too large for my car to pull. I found a 5x8 but it was 55 miles away. I drove the 55 miles there and back to get a trailer I had reserved from a dealer 10 minutes away. The people who rented the trailer to me were wonderful and treated me very well. If I can't reserve a trailer one month in advance then you really don't have a reservation system.
Michael LYour customer service sucks. You gave me the wrong drop off location which was on Tamiami Trail in Sarasota and I requested Enterprise Flea Market. I went through 7 people on the phone at UHaul to try and get a change in drop off. And then I had enough and just dropped it at Enterprise. I also called and spoke to a customer service manger and she was a snotty bitch.
Shawn DThe woman who assisted was extremely helpful. She is very sweet. There were issues with the computer system defaulting to a New Jersey drop off but she was able to resolve the issue.

Dale BI had to unhitch my trailer that was not what I experienced where I picked it up, also the trailer I had had some serious safety issues with the vehicle tie down problems , where the front safety straps kept coming off while driving , the strapping tie downs kept coming off because that assembly moved freely and could not be secured while aligning itself with the center of the front tires , this was not an operator issue.

Suzette AAllowing smoking in your trucks is gross. My vehicle reeked of cigarettes and the cup holders and dash were sticky and dirty. Also, the milage rate for this size truck is outrageous.
