Please improve your only check in process and coordination with your locations. I got instructions to look for a lock box but that location doesn't use lock boxes, instead locking keys in the back of truck. And the code sent by U-Haul was incorrect. This cause me a 3 hr delay to my move. I called customer service and after waiting about 1 hr and them another 1/2 of trying various codes the rep said I could book at about location, far away, or wait til they open. Oh, stilling waiting for a manager to call me back.Shawn R.

The trailer had broken bumpers inside. And had some liquid stains. This was not an issue for me and didn't affect my experience with the rental. But this might be an issue for a more discerning customer.Erik M.

The trailer was not ready for pick up at required time. Location did not call me back to tell me it was ready and I had to drive back to location and wait until I got an answer. Person behind the desk was rude and not very helpful. I returned the trailer late as I got it late and was charged an extra day. The location will not return my calls or even pick up the phone. Lastly, there were two lights out at the rear of the trailer and some marker lights also out. They let me leave after giving me the go ahead. This was not safe nor legal.Chris H.

The location was good. No issues there. The problem is the fact that I couldn't get a code to unlock the key to my car. It is a great idea to have the self serve pick-up but if you can't have the proper technology to execute you shouldn't do it. I wasted an hour of my time on hold waiting to get through to someone who can help give me the code. I also wasted an hour of my paid time with the truck. Please work on fixing this. I won't be using the self-serve option again.Tim B.

The staff were incredible - friendly and helpful and pleasant to deal with. I liked completing lots of information online ahead of time, which made for quicker processing. However, as soon as I got in the vehicle, there was a warning light indicating low tire pressure in one of the rear tires. When I returned to the office, they assured me it was quite safe to drive, but it made me nervous about the vehicle's safety.Mary P.

The manager was very helpful when I was having troubles checking in, amazing customer service!graeme R.
Would benefit form cab cleaning once in a while. It was very apparent that the truck hadn't been cleaned or sanitized for quite some time on high touch surfaces. My truck kind of stunk and I used Lysol wipes to wipe down all the high touch surfaces and the wipes were brown. But overall I've rented a few times from this location and I like the staff, they have a good sizable fleet so I was able to switch to a bigger truck at the time of pickup than what I reserved. Easily accessible yard to manouvre trucks in and out whereas some downtown locations I've had to squeeze around tight 90 degree back alleys where all the trucks are jammed in and have to fold in mirrors in order to back out without hitting another truck. I'll be back to this location again.Casey-Joel H.

I would like commend the sales person at the counter. Unfortunately, we forgot to ask for her name, however she works at the Ethel Drive location in Toronto and was working on Thursday May 26th. She was friendly, professional and helpful. We commented several times that afternoon, that having met her, made our stressful day much less stressful. Kudos on great customer service !!Jose S.

The representative I dealt with was excellent. The renter before me was running over 2 hours late. The U-Haul rep quickly and efficiently solved the problem with some alternate equipment.THADEUS O.
Not to do with the location but with the booking system- I was originally booked for another location but got a call the morning I was supposed to pick up informing me that my equipment will not be available at the reserved location, sending me to 87 Ethel Ave instead, which is not far from the original booking6 no big deal, but then I got another call that it won't be available there as well and I will need to drive all the way across town in rush hour traffic (easily 2 hr return trip). I called back to check for other options as that was not going to be viable , after spending over an hour on the phone with various locations and U-Haul booking, repeatedly in hold and my call being dropped... I still had no concrete answer so just drove to the Ethel Ave. Location not knowing if the trailer would be there. It was there. (they had 2 ) so the whole kurfufle was for nothing, but my departure had been delayed by 2 hours at this point.Meiron B.

While the service was friendly and efficient, the location lot is not pleasant. It's dusty and unkept. More importantly, the truck was extremely dirty. And I'll never understand why it's not required to return rentals with a full tank. It seems like a concerted cash grab.Michael S.

I was very frustrated that the online return process would not let me continue until I selected the option that the trailer was not clean. Another customer was returning his trailer at the same time and had the same problem. This means that we were charged a $15 cleaning fee that was not warranted.HUWALEXANDERJ L.
Had an issue with the Manager a week prior to actual rental. Spoke to a gentleman to see the inside of a 20' truck which they didn't have on hand but had a 15' there. I told him that I had booked at Stockyards location. He then turns around & says "then go there because we are too busy." There was no customers there & could have said, you can look at the 15' but we don't have any 20' truck which I could clearly see as it was the only truck there. I gave this an average rating overall because of him. The female attendant that checked me in was fantastic, quick very informative. Bill was right on. Only issue Truck was very heavy on gas, according to website was to get 10miles to the gallon. Put in 6 gallons of gas to replace to where fuel level was. Then I should have got 60 miles to fuel but I only did 15 miles. WHY DON"T THEY GIVE US THE TRUCK WITH FULL GAS. The customer service. The line was long and not moving. People on the steps in the door way to the trailer so hard to get past to â€œskipâ€ for my keys after checking in online. Some of these people did not even have reservations for truck. I asked an employee if I could skip the line if I had checked in online. He said no, everyone waits in the line, that had not moved in 20 minutes. I finally did try to skip the line to get in the tailer and the other employee was like yes you're quick, I'll help you right now. Took 2 minutes. So better customer service, all employees should have a clue what is going on.Kevin R.

This location is great so I left good rating. Otherwise I am a little annoyed. 1) The online booking process is excessively lengthy (much too many questions to say â€˜no thanks'). Some should be combined on the same page. 2) The pickup application was glitchy on my iPhone. First after reading the terms and condition from the first of two boxes, all my data was lost and I had to start from the beginning. Second it did not recognize my head shot, and the second time I accidentally took a photo of my driver's license instead, and it recognized it as my head shot (go figure), no possibility of unclicking to restart the headshot. It would not let me scan the driver's licence at all (the screen would instead go black and flick once in a while).Christian D.

it would be nice to have the trailers set in a way that makes getting them on the hitch easier, or have the guy there help. i was able to do it, but as a 210 lb man. no way my wife could have managed. also, it seems obvious, but there isn't a need, in my mind, for the guy running the place, to make a comment about jews always wanting contracts done right. he assumed i was because of my last name he said. wasn't aware religion was a part of the rental process.hartley G.

This is a great team, the lady in the office with the dreads pulls it all together so quickly and correctly. The gentlemen in the office willing to jump in as required. The best person was the lot attendant, a young guy who helped, physically jumped in and set it all up, explained it all to me and helped get underway and unhooked me on my return ... thank you. truly painless.Andrew D.

I was shipped to a U-Haul across the city. Because the worker said my location changed. He said if I can uhaul I will get a $50 credit. When I called uhaul they said I don't qualify because they called me to notify me. I checked my call log and did not receive anything. I think uhaul customer service should honour a credit if they said they will give oneErwin D.
