I booked a car an hour prior to move my stuff, wed site is easy to navigate, front desk lady had excellent customer skill and addressed all questions , no red tape at all . I used u-haul 3 times already, the first 2 ones were definitely good. But this new location was not. While the car worked perfectly and I had not issue with it, it was very dirty. My wife told me "I should have wear dirty clothes". So please, clean the car! I don't care about the outside, I mean inside!Benjamin A.

The â€œcontactless pickupâ€ was not contactless or quick. The location opened at 10am so I couldn't start the process until then. The person calling my contact to confirm me did NOT actually call my contact (they were standing right next to me) and told me they did. Despite doing the contactless pickup and doing all the necessary steps on my phone, I STILL had to wait in line to pick up keys/dolly/blankets from a person (ie NOT contactless pickup). The line was now quite long as it was about 10:15 by the time I finished with the steps on my phone, and didn't end up leaving until almost 11am! Why advertise quick contactless pickup when I have to wait longer than everyone doing normal pickup, and I still had to interact with people?!?!Michael B.

I am being incorrectly charged. Mileage was calculated incorrectly. The vehicle was kept in poor conditions ar this locations. Mirrors were missing and driving the truck was extremely challenging.Israel M.
U-Haul equipment is never well maintained, that has nothing to do with this location and everything to do with U-Haul business practices. My truck had a row pressure sensor warning light, and said it needed an oil change. The interior was absolutely coated in dust. But this is standard no matter where I rent a u-haul from.Paul M.
The van was filthy. For non covid times the cleanliness was beyond acceptable. For covid times it was disgusting. The attendant did not do an inspection of the vehicle or confirm gas/mileage. I returned the van with the exact amount of fuel I left with and they still charged me a $9 fuel charge. Will not be coming back and will not be recommending. Unorganized, rude employees, and the manager tried to give a ridiculous dolly to us because apparently the location ran out of them that day. The manager spoke ill of us being late and gave our reservation away RIGHT IN FRONT OF US. (Please keep in mind our rental time was 9:00 and we were there at 9:10) but under the impression we could just â€œunlock and goâ€ like your advertisements claim. I will stick with Penske next time. I have rented trailers from u-haul on a fairly regular basis over the years and there's always some type of issues, yesterday I went to the location that I had requested for pick up and they told me upon arrival that I had to go to another location, it would have been nice to know ahead of time. This owner was incredibly rude on the phone, while training another employee (whos attitude also sucked) He had zero desire to answer questions, he was pushy, talked over the client didn't even listen to the request before dismissing the reservation. Then this idiot left a lengthy voicemail without knowing it, of himself mocking me and the panic in which I was trying to confirm my reservation. (Which he never confirmed). U-Haul works because it provides a monopolized service, not because clients enjoy their experience.Richard M.
They called me 10 minutes into my 48 hour rental (while I was driving it) to ask when I was going to return my rental. I was not able to give a sure answer at the time but I did say that I would be returning the equipment early. They then proceeded to book my equipment before my 48 hour window was closed. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I wanted to drop off my equipment at another location and was unable to make any changes when calling the scheduling department. The representative at the scheduling department was very rude and yelled at me instead of giving me options for my equipment told me that another "family" needed the equipment, inferring that my family's needs were no longer relevant. We did drop off the equipment early as the location once again called and insisted that I return the equipment by 10am on the day that I had the equipment rented until 4:45. 4 days after dropping off the equipment I got a call from the central booking centre asking where I had dropped off the trailer, so I spent another 1/2 hour on hold to tell them that I left the trailer attached to the truck at Empire. I was not impressed by this overall experience.MAJA B.

Terrible customer service. Was not greeted at the door. Employee was not wearing a mask indoors throughout the entire encounter. Employee was eating lunch directly in front of us, picked their teeth and then asked for our ID without washing their hands immediately afterwards. We had to sanitize our ID once the encounter was over. Absolutely not appropriate even in the best of times, let alone during COVID... Employee charged me for 2 days (I booked 1) and when asked what the charge was, they did not apologize. They were not professional by any means what so ever. Spent the entire time we were in the office eating or on their phone and seemed to not care at all about our safety or check in experience. Staff were not helpful and seemed frustrated when I returned to ask why the truck I rented did not appear the same as in the photos I was texted to confirm appearance with and told me "don't worry about it". They stated that the photos were "taken a long time ago" and seemed to imply that I was supposed to know this? Though nobody had even told me I would have this online check in process. Further, I was unable to attach photos through the website to dispute the images not corresponding, or to close the trip at the end, either (you must take a photo of the odometer and gas level or be charged $20 for the staff to do it). The website does not allow access to my camera which is a massive barrier which could be costly. The staff never informed me about this process of online check in/check out. Truck was dirty and dusty with garbage inside, did not seem to be cleaned between customers, which, if not for COVID, would be unacceptable. During COVID this is honestly incomprehensible Definitely did not feel safe using this truck during a pandemic. Very bad experience overall. Trusted your company to help me move during a pandemic and will not be doing this again after our experience.Rhiannon J.

I "checked in early" to "save time when picking up the truck." My reservation was not found, then was initially given the wrong truck. When I got the correct truck, the fuel was not full, so I let them know, they made a note. Also had to remind them of my blanket rental. Everything took 30 mins from when I stepped into the bookings trailer. When I received my final invoice, there was a $50 fuel charge added to the bill. I left it with more gas than when I first got it! The front desk woman was very kind but man....not a well run system and I would not recommend it, unfortunately.Devin O.

The location is busy. The people, who run the office are trying their best to accommodate customers, but it's just too much work for them. I got charged what I expected. I didn't like the dust in the area. Their parking lot is an unpaved yard. But it worked for me, I got what I neededAndrew S.
They didn't return my drivers license. Then didn't call me about it (despite having my contact info). I called them to see if they had it, they told me they did, and I asked when they closed - the guy on the phone said 6:00 initially, then said 5:00. I arrived the next day at 4:45 to get my license and was told by another angry customer waiting in their lot that they had just closed up and left. We did not recieve the equipment we had rented, also the alternative equipment that we had told we would recieve, we also did not recieve because it was not returned by the previous customer. We had no choice but to take it and had to make 2 trips and load everything by hand instead of having the forklift place everything on the trailer. April was the person we dealt with and was incredibly rude giving a lot of attitude for absolutely no reason. I rent unhaul for my business quite frequently and have never had such a bad experience.April S.
There were 2 employees working however when I got to the location for my 12:30 pick up, no one was there. There were other people waiting as well. I understand that people need a break for lunch or to use the washroom, however both did not need to leave at the same time which in turn left customers wondering when they will be back. We book a truck at a specific time for a reason. This set my schedule back 30 minutes. Again I understand people need breaks, but both employees could've gone separately.Danny P.

I had reserved a Uhaul truck a week in advance, and checked in online 20 mins before the pick up time. However I still didn't have a Uhaul ready for use was on the phone with customer support for 2 hrs before another Uhaul was given to meGokul K.
