To be fair, I didn't do a complete inspection of the vehicle before driving off, because if I had, I might not have been able to complete my move. The truck had NO GAS CAP and used aluminum foil where the gas cap should be. And I'll assume the lack of gas cap is why the check engine light remained on the entire time. I am beyond upset here it is 702p.m. in the afternoon on Thursday July 22nd 2021 I rented a 15 ft truck from you all. I was to pick it up Wednesday July 21st 2021@motes Auto repair in Elizabethtown Pennsylvania and I went there I've used their trucks before no we don't have a truck for you no yes we do 10:00 this morning no we don't Kim you better look at your receipt well I look at my receipt and I received says most Auto repair that day that time to pick up the 15-ft truck. Customer service scheduling had called me 604 a.m. the morning before on Tuesday morning and the nice woman maybe her name was Roxanne confirmed everything that yes indeed it was at moats are you absolutely sure it's not at least I'm positive so I go to Elizabethtown fitness walking since I got dropped off the auto repair to pick up the truck and guess what the schedule has changed and Elizabethtown fitness was put on it my question to the customer service representative was and just when were you all going to let me know this had changed well I mean you checked in Roxanne talked to you and well if there's a change she should have notified you but if she didn't oh well you should have checked your reservation I said I did check my reservation and it said exactly where I was supposed to be that morning and I was there and there was no truck there! So I said to him this is been a huge inconvenience for me today I am beyond that this is not the first time I have gotten five rentals in the last 6 weeks from you all. And never a problem picking up the truck nothing ever changed from the receipt that was text me on my phone. So I said to the agent what exactly is you all going to do to compensate me for your mistake and as you said to me we're not going to do a darn thing to compensate you it's what it is you want the truck go and pick it up at Elizabethtown fitness center are you kidding me!!!! Does the company condone your customer service agent speaking to your customers that way but wasn't for our business they wouldn't have a damn job! So needless to say I take the truck I only picked it up to go and pick up a grandfather's clock I mapquested it Elizabethtown to dallastown Pennsylvania it is 27 miles each way I went nowhere except white grocery store on the way home I stopped right in the same road that I live off of I went nowhere else with that truck it did not move all night I used a quarter of a tank of gas I thought that was a lot but okay whatever 54 miles I can deal with it well when I went to Turkey Hill in the morning to gas up said 15 ft truck $20 didn't replace the quarter of a tank of gas $30 didn't $40 didn't I wound up dumping $70 worth of gas into that truck and it still didn't move the needle very much above or near the quarter of a tank of gas line that I had used since when does it take $70 to replace a quarter of a tank of gas in a truck? Then I said to Steve the owner of Elizabethtown fitness that truck that you gave me the transmission is ready to drop out of it it around 32 miles an hour perhaps the engine High the gear slam and bang into place so he said oh it's a safety feature I rented 15 ft 15 ft 10 ft 15 ft and a 26 ft trucks from U-Haul none of them ever drove like that then if you go downhill as soon as you get to the top of the hill trying to get up to a normal speed of 50 or 60 miles an hour as soon as you Crest over the top of the hill all those gears start banging back down that is not right something was wrong with that truck something is wrong with that gas gauge that it took $70 to put a quarter of a tank of gas in that so instead of the truck rental costing me in the area it costs me 1067 I left $100 deposit which I got $3 and I believe 54 cents change and then the $70 I took out of my own wallet to stick in that gas tank there is no gas tank even if the odometer was right that I drove 89 miles which I did not but even if it was right it doesn't take $70 to put 89 miles of gas back in a vehicle! I requested that the district manager call me the area supervisor whoever's the boss and guess what that was at 10:30 this morning do you think now at 703 in the evening anybody from U-Haul has bothered to even call me? Never!!! please return my call somebody because I'm looking to be reimbursed or compensated in some way for this horrific rental reservation with uhualKimberly A.

I booked my reservation at this location but my confirmation indicated I was to pick up my rental at a location 30 miles away. At a .$99 a mile charge I question if this was ethical. Upon receipt of this text, I immediately called the location where I made the reservation and was assured that a vehicle would be at the reservation location. The young lady that helped me at the reservation location is an asset to your company. She was personable, helpful, and pleasant.SANDRA M.

I requested a 20ft truck but they didnt have any available so I had to settle for a 15ft. Would seem to me they would be a le to move a truck to fit the need instead of making the customer drive an extra 15 miles together the one you want plus pay the extra mileageEric F.

The man working the front desk had no customer skills. He was too busy eating his cereal. The young lady that helped me was very efficient and polite. The truck was clean, everything was functional, and it ran good.PAULWILLIAM M.
The mobile set up is horrendous. I'm pretty tech savvy and had to change my pick up to in person from the mobile pick up, due to poorly designed system that left me going in circles. Luckily the person at the physical location was very helpful and got me on my way fast. The truck itself was in great condition and worked perfect for us. The drop off location stated they were open till 9pm, we went to drop off vehicle at 830pm and it was closed. The lighting is also very poor, was mildly difficult to take the pictures for "mobile drop off".Benjamin B.

Was told to find the correct haul by looking above the windshield when in fact it was above the drivers side window. Finally figured it out by just trying the keys in all the vehicles to see which one started. Return people at the desk were much more pleasant to work with.MISSIE K.

I was completely satisfied.. We went to another location first in palmyra and they did not have vehicle we wanted. They search the area and found what we wanted at the Elizabethtown location. Great customer service at both locations.FRANK K.

The bed of the truck was clean, but the driver area was not. It smelled as if someone had a personal accident in it. The pickup process was a disaster. The mobile pick up was apparently not an option for this location, even though it says it is. Then, the young lady who did the paperwork with me completely started the reservation over, and entered in the wrong drop off site, even after I asked her to confirm she selected the correct one. This caused a huge issue on the drop off end. While I will use U Haul again, I'm thankful I will not have to use this location again.JESSICA C.

the online site needs to be faster, i lost out on 20 minutes of my time trying to get access to the truck, and then you still have to go inside the building to get the key. Should have access from the outside to put in a code to open the door to a box of some kind. the trucks should be washed once in awhile. the login process is flawed as you cannot submit photos if you have an issue with damage to the truck, and the pictures need to be closer and brighter so you can see it better, or the option to zoom on the picture to see better.MARK W.
