Martha AMy reservation was given away, I only received help. I called the U-Haul number, it took them 30 minutes to realize that they actually had the vehicle that I wanted. Just not the original one, and the other reservation that they gave away in my name is still on my account. I'll be honest, in terms of service. The phone center person was great and did what they could and I appreciate that. That is the nicest thing I have to say about this experience
KAREN Sthe truck wasn't available at the location. Employee offer me to drive to a different location to pick up a truck. i was charged extra money to rent a bigger truck that i didn't need to get a job done

Oscar AI have been a UHAUL customer since I was in College some decades ago. I had the worst rental experience ever, causing me extreme stress and lots of extra financing expenses from your negligence and lack of assistance from the roadside assistance department and the service provided to me from California. On top of everything, I got charged for a service I did not get. Without receiving any letter of apology or any contact from any customer service representative to hear my case, where I am demanding a refund on the rental charge I paid, as due to again NEGLIGENCE, my non-English speaking elderly mother got stranded in Portland Airport, meanwhile, I waited hours on I5 to be assisted by a provider to change a tire that flew out on the road. This is just a small highlight of the HORROR movie was my rental experience on June 2024.
Ladya GUpon pick up of the box truck, the windshield was not clean and the cup holders were encrusted with dirt. The gas tank was just above the 1/8 mark. The facility also has a poor selection of overpriced boxes to choose from. I had to buy $25 worth of gas a gas station, and I drove the nearest U-Haul store to buy the boxes I needed. A kind staff member washed the windshield. I returned the truck the same day and I was charged a refuel fee of $11.66 even though the gas gauge was slightly below 1/4 of a tank. I think this is dishonest and unfair. I would never return to this place of business again.

Marco DI found the location to be very convenient. Our rental was in front, ready to go. Also, it's nice that it's located in a storage area, as well as the drop off location. We appreciated the friendly service and will pick up there again in the future.

Joseph NWe arrived at the El Monte appointment at 4:00am. We were not able to uptain the key code until customer service helped us. We left Zelle My bye after 5 Am. Set us up for a very late start eith the traffic. This was really difficult for me.

Daniel GI rented the Truck & needed to keep it a 2nd day each day for 24 hour's. Well U-haul informed me I had to bring Truck back by 9a.m. instead of 1:30p.m. because they had someone else renting it at that time! Don't they have enough truck's? So you can't depend on U-haul if you need to keep Truck an additional day? This was tough on me being I was exhausted from moving the whole day before. The time before this, I had a Reservation at this location & they didn't have a dolly after I had already reserved it along with the Truck rental, so I had to go to another U-haul location on Garvey ave.Ave. it's been an inconvenience 2 time's already

benny mOverall my process of renting a one-way would've been better if I was given the correct information by the initial representative who booked the truck for me .my experience was not a great one As far as booking a one-way trip and taking advantage of the free month storage. The general manager at the storage off of Ivar and Rosemead was very rude and very unhelpful. I wound up having to take a second day off of work and making a trip out to Almonte from San Bernardino again in the heat just to be able to unload my belongings at the storage facility.

RICHARD MWhatever you were quote and if the price don't show correctly they don't correct it . They just follow what the computer said and pay up front . I got my credit after I return my truck after 6 class to Uhaul .
James TAfter I returned the truck I did not get a total of what it cost me as far as the mileage , I don't think you should walk out the door without a final cost total , instead they told me I would receive a e mail which never got I had yo look at my bank balance to see what they decided to charge me .this is Unacceptable to me. Not good way to do business and I still don't have a itemized email with charges .
Susan GRental van smelled like weed. When I opened the door a small black bag dropped out. I was afraid to open it so I threw it in the trash but would be willing to bet $500 it was drugs of some sort. Front desk staff (Bryan) was great however.
ANTHONY CVan fuel gauge was almost full but the contract marked it was completely full. I only had 4 hours left to move so I just left. I returned the van driving 52 miles with $15 worth of gas put in @ $5.39 a gallon. Because the fuel gauge wasn't completely full upon van return, the same attendant charged me $12.75 in fuel.

BERTHA REl Monte Storage was awesome. But your customer service was trash. I waited two hours to get cleared for an issue from 2018. I supposedly didnt return a dolly but I did so i dont know what that was about. And that delayed me 2 hours which put me back and made me hold on to the uhaul for 6 days till my day off. Your customer service supposedly fixed the issue but i had to call back to fix it again. My pick up was supposed to be 2:45pm but I didn't leave the place till almost 5:00pm. The issue was with uhual not el monte storage.

Roque PThe staff is not trained properly on placing a vehicle on top of the auto trailer. Their customer service skills need improvement. Especially Israel. After asking if the 15ft truck was equipped with a lock we were told "it should". When the truck was brought around with no lock he replied with "oh well I said it should brother. You can buy one but we don't sell them." Overall it was a negative experience and for the price we paid we expected the least they could do was have decent customer service skills. This location is the reason we will no longer use uhaul.

ESTHER GNo clear signage as to where to drop off after hours. No evidence, in fact, that it was a u-haul dealer. I had to call the main u-haul line to be sure I was in the right spot, and even they didn't know where I should leave my trailer, so I left it in one of the 5-6 parking spaces in front of the facility & hoped for the best.

Jeffery PDon't do business with the dishonest employees that work there. I gassed the rental vehicle half a mile from the assigned drop off location. I even put a little bit more gas than I had used up. None the less the dishonest employee assessed me with a 29 dollar fuel fee. Are you kidding me!
