I was hauling a perishable product and had no as in zero margin for any errors. Everything had to be 100percent reliable. Timing was crucial for every aspect of my operation. Mr Effinger understood my situation completely. He recommended using his local based truck which I agreed to because it was a guaranteed availability with no last minute excuses for my having a truck. It was bigger than I needed but the overriding concern was its availability. His decision was spot on .I was hauling frozen grassfed beef valued at 8000$ to a group of friends whose diets depend on my beef. All the stars lined up for a successful project which uhaul was an integral part of. I will be doing a similar trip this time next year. My total rental costs were higher than I planned for due to the larger truck and gas mileage but the outcome was worth it....win win win for all involved.prior preparation prevents poor performance the five most important p's have guided my life for 79 years and I highly recommend that you use this mantra in every aspect of uhaul operations and management. Move was for La Crosse to destination to the east. The online request does not take into account the 30 extra miles needed to drive to get to La Crosse from this location so I was charged for going over the mileage....not a good company policy....system/company should take this into account. Service in Viroqua was friendly and great.Tom G.

Mark was very helpful when checking in my rental. Really good guy. However, his location seemed slammed on Saturday morning and he was the only one working on the UHaul rentals. So, I waited 45min to check in my drop off. Simply understaffed for volume of customers on a Saturday morning.MATTHEW B.
It's Viroqua WI. What was I expecting? They have a lunch hour, I didn't know. I showed up during that time so I had to wait. The guy was late but friendly took care of things just fine but it's Viroqua time. I think Andy Taylor dropped by to pick up his chain saw. Lol.Doug W.

No problem with Effingers at all. This is for Uhaul corporate During rental took out safe tow....when installing the trailer onto the truck in the rain Uhaul sent me a text message saying I declined safe tow..this wasn't the case 36 minutes on hold to only talk to a representative whom decided eating potato were more important than answering my question. This is very unprofessional of Uhaul customer rep.Tom H.

You are too expensive. Budget Truck Rental was 1/2 the cost of a Uhaul. If we weren't in a pinch, we wouldn't have used Uhaul at all.Jalon F.

The location and people there were great to work with. It rained the night after I loaded the trailer and it leaked all over my furniture.. I didn't file a complaint as i knew like most companies these days you would drag things out and i would spend a lot of time and effort to get the shaft. Because of a shortage of one-way trucks this weekend U-Haul had to change my reservation to more than an hour away. It would have meant a very late start on pickup day. The manager in Fort Atkinson was very helpful changing our reservation to 24/7. We were able to pick up the truck on the way down instead of the next morning. I am a home remodeling contractor I've been doing this for about 20 years before that I worked 14 years retail. These surveys that ask the customer what you can do to make their experience better would Be for you to become a customer and judge for yourself. If I had a bad experience I would tell you about it. But I didn't. I had a very good experience and the man who was representing you that waited on me did an excellent job.
