Make every Uhaul location as friendly and willing to help as Effingers. The owner was beyond friendly and helpful and I can't imagine another location being nearly as good. I would recommend them to everyone I know ever needing a Uhaul.

The location and people there were great to work with. It rained the night after I loaded the trailer and it leaked all over my furniture.. I didn't file a complaint as i knew like most companies these days you would drag things out and i would spend a lot of time and effort to get the shaft. Your failure to replay to this will only reaffirm what i am saying.

Because of a shortage of one-way trucks this weekend U-Haul had to change my reservation to more than an hour away. It would have meant a very late start on pickup day. The manager in Fort Atkinson was very helpful changing our reservation to 24/7. We were able to pick up the truck on the way down instead of the next morning. I really appreciated his help.

I returned trailer early on Sunday afternoon when store was closed. Return did not require after hours service as it was not due until Monday morning. A service fee was added without any conversation or warning to me. Three phone calls were not returned when I requested an explanation.

I am a home remodeling contractor I've been doing this for about 20 years before that I worked 14 years retail. These surveys that ask the customer what you can do to make their experience better would Be for you to become a customer and judge for yourself. If I had a bad experience I would tell you about it. But I didn't. I had a very good experience and the man who was representing you that waited on me did an excellent job. The only glitch came when I returned the truck to Viroqua. I had gotten a text that said I was to return the truck to Sparta but that is 25 miles away. Viroqua is 6 miles away. And the owner of Effingers was out sick so I had to leave the key in the lock box. The number I had to call for an after hours drop off was not in service. So I ended up making 4 phone calls to let UHaul know where and when I left the truck. Drop off info needs to be clearer. Thank you.

Did not have reception at this location. Had to drive to culver's to be able to pick up the truck after the place closed. Never again will I pick up a truck after hours.

Mark at Effinger went above and beyond patience and support, friendly and efficient with his service. I needed to fix my truck brake light connectors for the trailer to hitch and he helped me multiple days to get me on my way.

I was talking the trailer from Wisconsin to Texas and was rented the oldest one in the lit. When we unloaded it half of my belongings were soaking wet due to it leaking when we had to drive through rain. Take into consideration the length of the trip instead of trying to just make a dollar. $250.00 for a one way rental really is not justified when your belongings are damaged and the insurance only covers damage to your property, the trailer.

Mark was excellent to work with!! He went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure my rental experience and mission were accomplished. My hitchlock rusted and I couldn't use my hitch till it was sawed off. Mark had a hitch so I could get me on my way. He is the epitome of old fashioned service. (This comment is not specific to just the pick-up location.) Every u-haul person I interacted with (pick-up, phone call from u-haul, and drop-off) commented about how slow and frustrating your, IT systems are...maybe upgrade or improve those attend so all of unyoked users enjoy their use of the system instead of complain about it?

I had to drive 65 miles to pick up the truck. That is not acceptable considering I had reserved a truck three weeks in advance. An effort should have been made to have a truck available at the Decorah location or one closer, not 65 miles away. I am 81 years old and did not appreciate having to drive that far to pick the truck.

I did not receive your email regarding what to do after I filled out the info on line, however, that may have been on my end as I had internet issues the next day on my phone. It is a small town, closed on Sundays, but thankfully I was able to find the key and complete our move. (An emergency phone number to call, just in case, would have been perfect.) Otherwise, everything was very nicely done and ready and worked out perfectly.

My pick up time was set for 1230. I arrived at 1215. However the worker took a lunch break shortly after 12 and did not return until 1. He was very unapologetic for making me wait.
