The online pickup does not work. A staff member went above and beyond for us, spotting us struggling in the parking lot and helping us with the process even though the location was supposed to be closed. Amazing service. According to a journeyman automotive technician with 20+ years of service the unit we rented was running rough and needs new spark plugs.

Checking in to get the vehicle was not easy. The amount we had to pay changed 3 times and he couldn't explain why. Because we had already spent almost half an hour I just gave the credit number and left, but I would not go back there even though the location was the closest for me.

The website is very poorly designed for mobile experiences. For self pick up the experience would have been significantly better had you sent an email explaining everything you needed to do and how to login on your phone to get the lock pad code.

When a customer orders a dolly and moving blankets, they should be in the truck when picking it up. I was charged for required moving blankets and dolly but they were not in the truck when picking it up!

I rented a van, drove 16 miles, overly topped up the gas and was charged $14 additional for gas. It was -26c and your representative clearly was more interested in getting inside rather than correctly marking the correct fuel level on the document. There was absolutely zero communication with me other than lock up the vehicle, put the key in the back and attach the dead bolt. I have used U-Haul many times but will in the future use other companies. Definitely the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

The vehicle multiple lights in including engine light !! Passenger seat belt and low oil.level !! I have pictures to prove them !! Along wit that my.initial quote was 40cad but ended paying 98cad which makes no sense ! The fuel charges are insane and for a average person like me shifting or using uhual services is not affordable which 100cad is lot money for me to spend on services which is not maintained and mobile experience makes it's even more difficult ! On the day of my pickup or at the time of my pick up which was a scheduled for 530 MST did not happen since the web version and mobile app version of uhual was not letting me upload pictures or process my check in !! To whcih I had to contact support and initially I was asked to re book for later date and the second time I contacted the support via chat - the lady helped me after I pleased her !! Either ways the experience is horrible and on top of that the money I am charged is insanely high for a non maintained vehicle !! And I was not even contacted about my initial request I made about my charges at the time of check out via mobile !!

This 9th Ave. U-Haul location is the very best. The manager is a pleasure to deal with, has a wonderful sense of humor, and obviously enjoys working with the public ON THE OTHER HAND, the Innisfail location was the exact opposite and it's manager gives U-Haul a bad name.

I had to call in order to receive my truck number when I did the online check in. It would be great for the truck number to appear as before the lock code. Besides that customer service was great. I accidently entered that I used too much gas and a customer represented called me the next day to rectify the payment. ¡Gracias!

They did not have the van I wanted, even though I booked in advance. Even though it was upgraded to a 10-ft truck at no additional cost, I did not want a 10 ft truck. I had no choice though; my moving team was waiting, and I had booked a move in time. I would've liked to have been told right away if they couldn't accommodate my van request and I would've gone to get a van from a different location. Driving a 10 ft truck downtown Calgary with 0 experience was highly stressful. And I did not need that much space to move my stuff. The staff were efficient and polite, so that was nice.

It took over 15 mins for me to find the location. Zero visible signage indicating where it was. Large parking lot is the address. First phone number listed I was on hold for over 5 mins. Hung up and found another number. Girl indicated place was across street upstairs in building on second floor. How would someone know that? Was not impressed with lack of equipment as well. Could not get a furniture dolly that I requested.

Very difficult to find where to rent the van. Went into other businesses asking for instructions on where to locate it… you could make it clearer where to go and which directions to take. Otherwise, the service was great and the front desk worker was very helpful! The location of the office was just difficult to find, which was annoying.

CSR was extremely helpful, quick, and efficient. The 10' was in overall decent mechanical shape, Slight misalignment but within acceptable margin. Anything else would just be looking for something to complain about and who has time for that Would recommend, would return as needs arise.

Hi had called and booked the uhaul. Had advised that we needed it until 5pm and was shocked to find out that we only had it until 2pm. As we were moving in a large City and dealing with traffic and a distance between apartments this made it extremely difficult, rushed and we were unable to complete our move, forcing us to utilize our vehicles for the remainder of the move. The 19.95 that you are advertising is such a figment of the actual $100 for 4 hours of use of the truck! Extreme rip off. Shameful to be honest!

I appreciated the confirmation phone call from the location the day before. It gave me the opportunity to get details on the location and I was encouraged to visit in store versus picking up the van online so we could be walked through all the details about where to get keys and where the van is located. I think this helped a lot and made for a smooth experience on day of. The only piece that could be improved is using the app to return the van. The app makes you take a picture of the odometer, but you cannot upload a picture from an album on the phone. We were trying to return the keys to the lockbox so we weren't near the van, we had to walk back to the van to take a picture, and finish the return process there. A bit more functionality in the app would make for a more smooth process.

Only one staff was working at the end of the month and it takes way too long for all processes. I booked the truck 3 weeks in advance but unfortunately the person who rented the day before didn't return the truck that we were told that they may have to give us smaller truck instead which wouldn't work for my moving at all. Because of that there was even more delay. I know it's not the employee's fault but simply saying sorry or just not saying things to panic people on a moving day would be great. I called the next day regarding my experience and I was told that they will call me back after talking to the manager. No follow up calls received yesterday/this morning. The location was convenient but other than that, maybe it's better to go to Uhaul store as they work efficiently.

I didn't have any issues with the truck but the delay in picking it up due to computer issues ended up costing me an extra hour charge by my movers which was financially devastating. And when I shared my concerns at the office, l was dismissed and told to call the toll free number and complain. Because of the above reasons, I will not be using this location and may be Uhaul in the future, nor recommend it to my clients. Gracias.

Service was excellent; friendly, and efficient. Truck was ready to go, functional, and clean. The central location was perfect for us, and a nice change from having to drive to the suburbs for these sorts of things. The only complaint is that there is no where to park your own vehicle without paying for downtown parking. This isn't really a problem, but could be better communicated when booking. It didn't matter to us, as we planned to drive our own vehicle too, but the young man in front of us looked fairly distressed when he found he'd need an extra $25 (minimum) for parking.

The locations is inside a building on the second floor so be prepared to look for it... also want to note that the online system for booking a uhaul is incredibly frustrating.

Inspite of my "above average" rating I would not recommend because of your advertising/actual invoice pricing discrepancy. Your website says a cargo van rental has $.59 per km. cost. At site you charge on the invoice $.69 per km. WHY?

The woman was alone at the desk, doing what seemed to be a two person job. Because of that it took a lot longer. We booked the truck from 11am-2pm but didn't end up getting the keys until close to noon. We were hurried to complete the moving job because we had to get the truck back by 2pm. Better organization for booking window required.
