As a first time user, there was not a clear explanation on fuel usage. I drove less than 25 miles but was charged for 3 gallons of gas. No directions for vehicle location. No dolly available for use. Also for storage as well.

Location has no signage. Woman in office was extremely rude. Only person in the office yet was "too. Busy" to even get off her chair to greet you. Overall this experience will make me consider renting elsewhere in the future. If she were my employee she'd be fired. Order number 21033367

The truck we rented WAS A MESS ON INSIDE!!! IT TOOK ME SEVERAL HRS TO CLEAN IT MYSELF! THERE WAS CIGARETTE ASHES IN THE DOOR BY DRIVERS SIDE; THERE WAS DEAD BUGS ON INSIDE OF DOOR, MELTED CANDY (SEVERAL PIECES) & IT WAS DIRTY AS HECK INSIDE!!! I DIDN'T HAVE ACCESS TO VACUUM CLEANER, SO I HAD TO CLEAN IT UP BY HAND!!! I GOT A FULL TRASH BAG FULL OF DIRTY STUFF OUT OF THIS UHAUL!!! WITH THIS COVID-19, I WOULD THINK THAT UHAUL COULD DO BETTER THAN THIS!!! I CLEANED & DISINFECTED THE UHAUL MYSELF! AND IT SMELLED LIKE SMOKE!!! WE DON'T SMOKE...SO I HAD A VERY HARD TIME GETTING SMOKE OUT OF THIS DARN UHAUL!!! WE R VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS RENTAL LOCATION!!! A woman at uhaul bitched me out over the phone after i got fucked over by my new landlord and was moving all my stuff into a storage unit. I was comfortable paying the fee for the extra day but I did not need this bitch trynna act like my mom screaming and crying over the phone bc i couldnt bring the uhaul back at exactly 12pm, childish ass mf could have just politely told me im gonna pay for an extra day but ended the call in an immature “thanks for not being helpful at all” like its my fault you dont have enough trucks for people it shouldnt be my responsibility or worry

The location is friendly, clean and safe, Mike the rental administrator was very professional and with good humor. BUT, BUT the 15' truck I rented for 4 hours/30 mile task had too much leeway in the steering wheel. I was on the highway for 15 of those 30 miles and did not feel safe in the truck. I informed Mike of my concerns. Truck needs to be inspected.

Staff was awful. Did not have any additional equipment (blankets, dolly) as reserved. Had to drive to 3 locations and none were available despite being reserved 1 month in advance. Had to drive 25 minutes to this location - not the pick up location I had reserved. Truck was dirty, bugs all over windshield and back of 15' not swept out

When customers call to reserve a truck they should be notified that U-Haul does not accept cash they must have a credit or debit card with enough money on it to cover the charges. I was not told that information when I called to reserve the truck. If my driver did not use his card I would have been in deep trouble. Thank you. John Mitchell.

I should be able to enter a review for 431 W Pershing Rd, Chicago, IL 60609, which is where I made the original reservation. I made the reservation for Saturday Aug. 17, but when I arrived Saturday morning they claimed the reservation was for Friday the day before and had been cancelled. Although uhaul corporate was helpful when I called, and the service at 35th Street where they transferred my reservation was excellent, I consider the behavior of the 431 Pershing facility completely unprofessional and unsatisfactory. If I had the opportunity to submit a review independent of the 35th Street facility I would rate them Poor.

The truck I placed on reserve became unavailable due to a missing key...would have been helpful to have been notified of the change ahead of time (had to drive a 15' truck instead of a 10' truck). Other than that though, it was a good experience

The only problem I had with this location was that I Reserved On-Line Dolly (2) and Mattress Pads, however this site doesn't have equipment rental, just a truck and boxes. This should be noted online!!! Other than that the Service was good, Alberto was patient (was late for reservations).

Just terrible. Ordered dolly but didn't get one. As a woman moving on their own this would have cut down my time. Then I get charged extra for their negligence. Reservation transferred a bunch of times. I could keep going on this place. A girl named Sabrina was childish and rude when I expressed my concerns. Smh. I truly asked her for corporates number. I want my money back for the trouble aka pain on my back. I even have pics of the cart I had to use because of this. To move couches?! Just wow. Used your company countless times. Never had issues until now. It's embarrassing for your company, them not taking their job seriously. No doubt.

Both cab windows were open and cab was wet from rain. The floor, driver's side, was very dirty with dried on dirt, clay and/or lime. Also on the motor cover and accelerator pedal. There was debris on seats. Previous renters' contract was on dashboard. The van was not clean.

Truck had poor air conditioning. Truck got 3 miles to a gallon. I put 18 miles on it, put 3 gallons in and got charged for another three so the truck got three mpg or the had read was wrong. Actually the uhaul on perishing took the order, got my name and email wrong, at least this location straightened that out so kudos to them for that

Got the runaround. It took 10 phone calls to get a van. When I did get a reservation they tried to give away my reservation to someone else. Have been advocating for full out full in fuel for years.

The truck was pretty dirty in the seating area but the customer service was wonderful and it was extremely easy to pick up the truck and to drop off the keys in the drop box. Thank you! I will be using U-Haul again in the future and will be recommending you all to friends and family.

I was scheduled to pick up my truck at 431 W. Pershing at 1:00 p.m CT on 3/31. I arrived at 1:00 p.m. waited for 20 minutes to learn my truck was given away at 8:00 a.m. I was not notified that the truck was no longer available prior to arriving. As a result, I was sent to 1200 W. 35th Street to pick up a truck. The gentleman who issued the truck was very customer focused and pleasant. He explained he was having an issue with his system and the wait may be longer than usual. The check out process was no longer than 15 minutes. After making it to my destination with the truck I discovered the inside had not been cleaned and was full of trash.

It took over an hour to print the paperwork. And after I realized I had the wrong truck size there was nothing they could do. And then my cell phone died and I couldn't get a hold of dispatch. So I have a spill over load I'll have to arrange for. Not happy about that.
