Understaffed. The guy is running a gas station and gets interrupted by customers. I had to wait for him to deal with many others in the middle of my interaction with him. They should also make sure lack of customer parking on site is highlighted on the website.

Borrowed the pickup truck for 2 hours. According to salesman I put 106 miles on the pickup in this time! Logically this is nearly impossible to do when you consider driving, pickup, drop off and return of truck. Should have been no more than 50-60 miles. Nothing I can do about it but chalk it up to Life’s tuition. This was a definite learning experience to never trust these companies.

I'd be hard pressed to find anything to improve. The gentleman who checked me in was very pleasant and accommodating. The rental process was quick. He clearly outlined my options for returning the vehicle at various times. Job well done! I would highly recommend E&R Ventures to my friends and neighbors!

This is my second time renting a U-Haul from this location. The U-Haul app asked me to show the screen to a representative to get the car key, but the representative there ( at a gas station) refused to do that and he required security code. It seems like there is some disagreement with U-Haul and the representative. And it took me more than 10 minutes to get the key while U-Haul customer service was trying to convince the representative to give me the key.

I drove the truck for 28 miles And they charge me 15 Dollars for 4 gallons of gasoline DOES THE TRUCK CONSUME 1Gallon / 8 MILES!!!!!!!

This was a very unpleasant experience with U-Haul, I had reserved a 10' truck and when I got to the location, apparently the truck had been triple booked and I showed my reservation next to the vehicle number and still someone else drove off in the vehicle I reserved. I then was given a cargo van. I needed to pack up and go that day and there were no other trucks so I had to cram everything into the van with difficulty, and for the pretty much the same price as the 10' truck.... this was a very inconvenient experience and I will not soon be returning nor recommending U-Haul to anyone.

The people who work there are thieves, they tried to change my reservation from two days to three days, they tried to add insurance that I didn’t need + they overcharged me miles + days that I didn’t use! They tried to charge me two days for one day. They’re scammers .. u-haul has to investigate these people! The attendant working the pick up location was extremely unfriendly and seemed overall inconvenienced by our presence. He did not answer any of our questions or even walk us to the vehicle, which was located behind the building and out of sight. The inside of the shop reeked of cigarette smoke.

They do not allow parking at this location and there is no parking allowed in adjacent lots. They directed me to park illegally on the street. Prospective customers should be warned that they will need to arrange for transportation to the pick up location as there is no place to leave your car.

This location was chosen due to it's close proximity to our moving location. The UHaul representative had the customer park the vehicle in a very tight area. It took several attempts to make that happen.

Lengthy delay despite pre-check in online; signs everywhere about NO PARKING for customers, which is strange when you are there to rent a different vehicle than you arrived in; 20+ minutes of issues with processing a credit card, attendant escalated to owner who demonstrated no interest in troubleshooting (it was their computer issue).

I had to do everything online because there was no one from uhaul at the location. Due to this i had to sit there and go through all the online stuff wasting 30 min

The terrible on-line experience of filling everything out, then trying the 24x7 check-in I was forced to use, then taking all the pictures to then say sorry, we need your passport because you couldn't read my license that was perfectly legible, so after wasting upwards of an hour of that crap, I had to go inside to the man at the desk anyhow, who was then tapping away for at least 10-minutes, then gives me keys to wrong truck, then I have to come back in as there is the wrong mileage on the paperwork, then multiple more minutes to get that right. Terrible experience both on-line and in-store!

I paid $10.00 to rent a furniture dolly, one wheel of which fell off, because the nuts had come off the four bolts. The other three wheels were all loosely attached, with several of the nuts missing. Only after I re-attached some of the nuts (some of the bolts' threads were stripped) and tightened the rest, was I able to use the dolly. You could refund the $10.00, and replace he defective nuts/bolts.

Don't change my reservation to someplace 13 mi away (through DC traffic at rush hour), and send me an email that it got moved even farther, then tell me to ignore that email. I was only 1 mi away to begin with - if Budget or Penske opens a place nearby I would totally use them instead.

This is not a comment about the Pick Up or the Drop Off location. It's a comment about UHaul. I made my reservation 3 weeks in advance. With only 24 hours notice, I was told that the vehicle I reserved would not be available at the location I indicated on my reservation. It was a major inconvenience to drive to a different location than the one on my reservation. The better response from Uhaul would have been to make sure that the vehicle I reserved was at the location I indicated on my reservation rather than make me drive somewhere else. If that wasn't possible, then I definitely needed more than 24 hours notice to accommodate the change.

The women working at the location was very cold and unhelpful. She did not check the car when we dropped it off and refused to until after we left (however no other customers else was at the location besides us). She did not provide a receipt or proof of us dropping off the truck, despite us asking her to. She got mad at us when we asked for a receipt and told us it would take over 30 minutes, so we should just leave. Highly unprofessional.

The staff did not care one bit about customer service. They hardly acknowledged our presents when we entered the location. Did not explain a thing. Just sign here and the truck is out back. Also a staff member was moving one of your smaller vans in the back parking lot, spinning wheels on the gravel every chance he got. After leaving the location I noticed the check engine light was on. I called the location three times, the phone just rang and rang and no one ever picked up.

Our Van was beautiful inside and out! EXCEPT for the windshield it had big globs of paint, tree sap or something all over it! if you can't see you can't drive finally I got Windex and a credit card and scrapped enough to see but it was not good. the windshield needs to be good and clean like the rest of the van was. in fact the van looked brand new it was a clean machine except the windshield!

Truck was dirty. Attendant was very rude at pickup and drop-off. There are many options in this area and our business will not recommend or repeat business. Makes the Uhaul brand look trashy, poorly run, and incompetent.

When I had driven a few miles I found there was the tire pressure sign on--I had to come all the way back and ask to change the truck. I felt there wasn't a proper check by the staff to make sure the U-haul was ready to go. We are paying quite a bit for rental and expecting the staff to check that all parts are working properly in the vehicle is not an unreasonable expectation. The staff were helpful in replacing my vehicle, but told me that I should have checked before driving away, which irritated me even more.

When people begin the reservation process, notify them that they cannot leave a car at the location and make them click yes to agree to this before allowing them to make a reservation.

My issue with renting had nothing to do with the location Kaleem was the best he was very helpful and accommodating. My issue is with the process of acquiring the rental. It took me an hour and a half to get the vehicle because of how confusing and utterly useless the approval process was. It was frustrating and poor.

I had to go past my drop off time by a couple of hours due to the distance I was driving and my schedule for the day. I attempted to call the drop off location about 5 or 6 times beforehand to let them know but no one ever answered. Once I dropped of the vehicle I told them that I attempted to call to let them know I would be late and they kind of just brushed it off and charged me for another full day and full day of cover. I won’t use this location again.

I have used U-Haul several times in the last 5 years for my moving needs from other locations. This was my first time using this one. I will not recommend this location nor will I return. It took me too long (1.5 hours) to retrieve my vehicle for several reasons. From the lockbox being hard to find, then requiring a phone call to 1800 customer service, to locating the vehicle and as it was pressed against another vehicle, to starting the vehicle that was not working with the key. Lastly I had to phone a friend to pick up my vehicle as there was no parking allowed on site. This should have been a warning before purchasing from this location. Upon car return, my invoice was incorrect so I made not upon receipt. 3 weeks later/ today, I received another invoice for the exact same amount, Uncorrected. This overall experience has been drawn out and over complicated.

The truck was on complete empty when I picked it up. I didn't notice until I go down the road a bit. It said it was supposed to have a quarter tank. I will look closer at the paper work next time. The only other sticking point was that when I returned it, the clerk said "we will mail you a receipt". I insisted on one then to be sure of the charges. This shouldn't have been an issue, but it was.

The woman who helped me was beyond professional as a man was yelling at her about not wanting to have his ID copied, to the point law enforcement was called. This shop in McLean is well kept and works with a smile. Definitely will recommend to any of my colleagues who are relocating.

At the drop off location, there are signs threatening to tow vehicles and stating after 7pm no uhaul drop offs will be accepted. The lady working was incredible short tempered and unhelpful, and there was little to no space to actually park the vehicle.
