Check engine light was on and I was over charged. I should have taken picture of mileage and I didnt. Lesson learned. I was supposed to receive call from general manager and never called. Now dealing with customer action file. Make sure to have proof of mileage.

Andrew HThe previous people that rented this trailer before us left all 3 doors unlocked. Maybe specify to ensure all doors are locked before returning the key. Also, the passenger door will not open from the outside when the door is unlocked, the driver has to open it from the inside.
IVONNE MDo everything in person because the Uhaul online service is absolutely TERRIBLE. They could not help me at all. They were supposed to text or email me a code to get in the lock box to pick up the key. They never did. If it weren't for the nice gentleman in the store, I would not have been able to move that day. I called them twice and sat on hold for over 10 minutes each time and no one picked up my call. There was not even an option to have them call me back. When I returned the vehicle, they wanted me to take pictures and submit them, along with the mileage. I did everything correctly on my end only to find their software was "unresponsive." They should not say you can do everything remotely if their system is not equipped to handle it. It was very stressful overall, but the store was great.

Marisa OWe drove under 8 miles in a vehicle and the fuel gage never moved. We got charged for 4 gallons of fuel, an additional 11.00 charge. Ridiculous. They just charged my card without notifying me.

Mark F3 stars for online check-in 5 stars for check-out over the counter We did the online check in, which was a bit frustrating. It took 20 mins to go through the process. The online agent was 'somewhat' helpful. Check out process at the counter was a breeze.
Stephanie LThe website gave a code for the key pickup, but didnt tell us where the lock was. We spent 10 mi utes looking for the lock. And $10 for a cleaning fee? Really, just last week i rented a u-haul from another place that smelled like a farm; all i did was move a bed and dresser and you have the audacity to charge a $10 cleaning fee.

Sara POnly problem I could see with the car hauler was the handle on the tongue jack was facing the back of trailer normal cars I don’t see a problem with newer cars but I was hauling a 1968 Chrysler Newport so the bumper was close enough to the bumper that I couldn’t turn the handle. If the handle was facing front it wouldn’t have been a problem. But it was a very nice trailor and got the job done.
William FI was disappointed that I would be expected to pay for the gas I used in addition to the 89 cents per mile fee. My previous experience with uhaul a few weeks ago with a 17ft truck did not require me to refill the gas.

BONNIE SOnly issue we experienced was we were given the wrong equipment dollies and did not know about it until we pick everything up. It wasn't a big problem, though knowing ahead of time would have been better.

Jeffrey MSteve, the employee at this location was very, very helpful. However, our overall experience with U-Haul was awful. Repeated phone calls, one in particular with an employee named Marcus Bell (or Ball) set us up with a trailer in Grayslake and when I went to that location there was no trailer available, the pick up date was a day off and our last name was in the system as Bond, not our actual last name Every person I spoke with asked us the make and model of our vehicle. When I said we have an 18 suburban everyone always replied, “great, perfect” The trailer’s brake cord was not compatible and couldn’t be plugged in to our car so we had to purchase an adapter. This was our first experience renting with U-Haul and most likely will be our last. Every person we talked to had a different story/option/explanation. Very disappointed and frustrated with U-Haul.
AMANDA VGreat customer service and the truck was very clean and ran good. Would definitely recommend this U haul location.
Chris TThe truck needs some work done. Noticed the steering wheel would shake when braking and the smell of burning oil. Also you could tell people smoked inside the cab, noticed the odor stale smoke. Also the back needs to be cleaned out better. When I opened the back there was dirt all over the floor. I'm giving the location 5 stars due to the employee of set location, professional and friendly.
