I was a bit surprised to have to pick up the equipment in Barrie when I live in Newmarket, however the staff was friendly and helpful.Monty B.
The trailer they originally tried to provide had broken lights along the top and the signal lights did not work. After refusing the trailer and finally being provided a properly functioning one they still tried to have us sign off on the paperwork for the original broken trailer. Again, this was refused (as it was not the trailer being rented and therefore not the one we were responsible for) and only then did they agree to change the trailer information in our order.Glenn H.

U-Haul was able to accommodate a last minute rental of a 20ft truck. Office is a bit rough. Desk person kept answering the phone, checking his texts and being distracted by anything so check out took a bit longer than normal. Otherwise, no issues. Truck ran well, was clean and overall an ok experience.SHANNON R.

The day before I am set to pick up the trailer which they promised 7 am pickup, they tell me my truck is located 1.45 hours away and that place didn't open until 8 so we sat there for 1.5 hours. The keeper was 30 minutes late. They didn't offer debit and had no signs anywhere to indicate that. He didn't offer to help with anything and help was needed because of the poor poor condition of the trailer. Drop off was fine except I see a charge for mileage? I shouldn't have to pay for mileage when the only reason it went over is because I had to drive it backwards 1.45 minutes away from where I was and where I had to go. Poor service overall. Can't even call to speak to someone because wait times are so long. One time I called the woman was very rude and even hung up on me.Nicole Z.

Poor customer service. Rushed because he was more concerned with an online meeting he had at the same time as my appointment. The truck had warning lights going off from the minute I picked up the vehicle but was already told that there were no other trucks available. Your customer service is terrible. I was transfered 5 times over the phone trying to deal with an issue for over 3 hours. Only to finally get one respectful employee who fixed the situation in 5 minutes. Pick up location was hard to find and vendor was not pleasant. Tried to up charge me to 29.99 when my reservation for the van and the advertised price was 19.99. I had declined the insurance online but it was put of my reservation when I got there and had to tell them to take it off. There was lots of unreported damage on the vehicle I had to dispute almost every picture (the pictures on the check-in did not look like recent pictures), the vehicle was dirty there was mud and garbage in the truck. If I had to move anything i was worried about i would have had to clean the truck before i used it. I was not comfortable with the rental to be honest and will not likely rent from this location in the future.Christopher G.
I want the ability to collect my rental at my convenience not the franchisees. He basically told me the posted opening hours mean nothing, he's open when he finds the time to be there. I was forced to pick up the next morning because my choice of pick up time was not convenient for him.Ian H.

What happened to face time face customer service? Not necessarily for this uhaul location, BUT for all locations! I've had to rent from Uhaul numerous times recently and not one employee has come out to show me the vehicle, do a walk around, see if there was any questions they could help with. They can't be bothered to get out of their chair! Is this now the standards uhaul accepts? My review is for the service received from uhaul overall. We booked a moving truck a month in advance and Uhaul did not have our truck available at our closest location in Brampton and notified us 2 days before our move and we were not given with another option but to pick it up from Barrie It took us 1.20 hrs to drive there, spent extra on gas for our car and the truck and Uhaul only gave us $50 discount which I still don't see reflected on our final bill. The person we contacted in Barrie was rude. Every single person that helped is was not responsive or willing to assist us. It was impossible with 2 days notice to find a local truck with a different company and this made our moving very stressful we lost 3hrs of our moving day just picking up the truck. I would never use Uhaul again or recommend to any of my friends This is was the worst moving experience we have ever had. Last time we used Budget I should have gone with them this time.CARLOSAMADO J.

The directions as to where the lock box for the key were vague. When I called the guy wanted to belittle me and tell me "it's really easy" the directions given to me were different than what he told me. Should be easy and a standard process. They also didnt have the truck I wanted.Josh H.

Not talking about entire U haul company....but for specific 45 bradford barrie location.....customer service was horrible.....person seating on the other side of table has no sense of customer service... It felt like he is doing his job just to make customer feel uncomfortable...no proper response to questions.... It was my first time experience of renting u haul from barrie Bradford location and asked him at the end to tekl about the gear system....as i drive normal sedan with normal gear function....so gears at the stearing wheel was new for me...i asked him to just tell me operation of tbe gear..so don't mess up anything.... He gave me an attitude of their is nothing new in the gear.... He didn't even informed us about the self returning of the vehicle option at the time of return as it has $20 charges extra when done by representative next day...
