Larry was a complete a**. Called us suspicious because the window wasn't rolled up all the way and accidentally put the lock on the wrong truck. Apologized for the oversight but wouldn't let us speak before interrupting and talking over us. I'm sure Larry is a saint and never in his poor, miserable existence has made a mistake. Word of advice, if you hate your job and life so much, it might be time for a career change.Madison E.

Immediately notified store that the check engine light was on, only response was â€˜it was serviced @ 57000 miles' & â€˜I don't have another truck that size.' No concern at all that I was about to drive an hour+ away.Tracy T.
Not sure if it was the owner or an employee but the guy had a very bad attitude and the truck was poorly cleaned. Sticky residue in the doors and equipment rear lights and brake warning light on. The guy told me to just baby it and he'll fix it when I bring it back. When I brought it hack he got caught an attitude because I didn't park it in the right area even though there was no where else to park it.Justin D.
If I could rate this U Haul location a negative one, I would. I have never rented from U Haul and spent so much money in my fifty years of living. The attendant was less than anything acceptable for customer service. On top of that, he frequently pushed the sale of what looked to be sub-standard mattresses. I did need a new mattress, but purchased one from another business the next day. How could mileage cost me $300 when all I did was travel from one part of Greenville to another? Maybe 30 miles total trips? I just rented a U Haul again from another location and did the same trip. It didn't even cost me half of what I spent last week. Terrible service. I will tell anyone who asks never to go there.Twanna H.

The truck was old with a lot of body and interior damage, I had to drive the truck several hundred miles and the braking and steering where difficult. None of which was the fault of the pickup location. The truck is just old and should only be used for local trips.Dawn B.

Larry was RUDE! Yelling in my face. When I asked him why he was talking so loud, replied, that's just the way I talk. Continued to yell. Automatically charged me $70 for insurance without asking me. I told him to remove it. When I asked for a receipt, said they were paperless but that he would email It. I told him that was strange bc I had just used the uhaul in Winterville 2 weeks ago and they gave me a paper receipt. He repeated that he could only email me a receipt. I said ok. I never got the receipt. When I turned the truck in the next day, he claimed I had put 65 miles on it. Thank God I had taken before and after pics of odometer so I was able to prove I had only gone 25 miles. He said he would adjust it and refund me the proper amount. I didn't trust him, so I wasn't leaving till he have me a dollar amount of what I owed. I also told him I never got my receipt. He tried to argue that I didn't give my email address, but I told him I did. He kept tryna shoo me out the door, saying he'd send it to me later, but I told him I wasn't leaving without my receipt. He sent it to me right then and there. This guy has a MENTAL PROBLEM! I don't know why you allow him to represent your company. I reserved the truck a week in advance. He asked me on the phone if I wanted to buy furniture also. I said no, just the truck. Then when I came to get the truck, he started pressuring me again, saying if you don't buy furniture I'm not gonna rent you a truck. He also said this to the people standing behind me, and they got out of line and started browsing furniture. I didn't. I stood right there. He never even checked truck or mileage when I brought it back. Told me to photograph miles and bring it to him. This dude is hella lazy and is only interested in selling his cheap, raggedy furniture. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS CROOKED PLACE!!! He will try to charge you for miles you didn't use and cover it up by not giving you a receipt. Two thumbs, WAY down. Shame on you, Uhaul!Grantina S.

I had my reservation set up THE WAY I WANTED IT and arrived to the store to pick up the truck through my phone. I guess the store manager got mad I wasn't coming in the store to handle my business with him. This dude come out and yelled at me to come in the store. He SWITCHED my truck to a truck that had local written on the key, this truck had the engine light on and sounded really bad. keep in mind i'm about to go 4 hours out by myself. He went in and CHANGED my reservation COMPLETELY and added insurance that I didn't have on there in the first place because I couldn't afford it. This guy had a really STANK attitude and gave off homophobic and racist vibes including his store, and the entire process was uncomfortable. THIS IS WHY I don't deal with people and I appreciate that Uhaul gives you the option to not have to. Uhaul you really don't need these guys representing you. period.BRANDON P.
I arrived ten minutes before the location closed. I recognize that it was late, but the employee asked for my name, said he'd take care of it, came back out and left. I had to unhook the trailer on my own. I have no experience with trailers and it took me over twenty minutes to figure it out. I will not go back to this specific location.Mark N.

I put 10.00 in gas to replace gas used Took a picture of the mileage and gas needle prior to leaving and made sure the gas needle matched when dropped off.. and was charged for another 2 gallons.CINDY W.
Location is convenient to the location we were moving to so I would recommend to other ECU movers. It checks the box for does the job. Parking lot is little, but that is apropos to most Uhaul locations I've visited. The employee was a little curt and somewhat grumpy and could use some practice on some southern hospitality. He exuded an â€˜I hate my job vibe, customers and this Uhaul business is a pain in my ars.'Diane C.

Girl at front desk was very helpful but her male coworker / boss seemed less interested in being helpful then if I would bring the dolly off the truck and into the facility. The guy was very rude, yelling at us as we walked in. He spoke down to us and then had us "go walk the showroom while he got us checked in." And yelled "buy furniture!" We walked around while he was dealing with other customers and we watched 2 other people drop off their uhauls who is was nice to and told them they could leave. So when I walked back into the lobby he goes "oh girls y'all can leave" so I asked if I could get a receipt because I didn't trust him at this point and he still hadn't checked in our truck. He told me no and went "your truck is getting ready to go back out so I'll have to check it in I'm not going to screw you over." He was extremely unprofessional. Talked down to every woman in there but acted like best buds with any guy in there. Will never use this location nor recommend this location to any one.Meredith N.

I got charged way more than I was told I would get charged. Manager of the location will not provide me with a receipt even though we have given him two full days and spoken to him about it over the phone more than once each day. He says we are questioning his honesty when we just want a receipt for what I was charged for. The whole situation seems sketchy when I was told it would be $30 and I got charged $80. He said he would email the receipt and I have yet to get it two days later. Very belligerent. Very rude. Speaks over us the whole time I was asking questions about the receipts.macon R.

I rented the truck on Sunday evening for Monday morning and I traveled from Greenville to Raleigh and got in behind a accident in Durham that had traffic backed up for hours. That was out of my control and I don't feel like I was treated right by making me pay 280.00 more because I was a couple hrs late bringing it back. I paid 219.00 to rent it I'm the first place so I am not happy being charged another whole day when you got the truck back the same day I was supposed to return it. I didn't keep it a extra day just extra hrs because of a wreck that had nothing to do with me. I was stuck In traffic 2hrs so that put me behind two hrs plus. I was not treated fair at all and need someone to call me about this extra 300 for returning it late on the same day it was to be returned .252 412 5871CHARMESE P.

Rather use a dedicated uhau facility. Renting a 12 ft Inclosed trailer was very very heavy to lift up on ball felt like I pulled my back, no assistance offered! The drop off facility had a jack to assist taking trailer off of car and assisted , much more professional.Jim S.

This place should not have a Uhaul dealership. They wouldn't put the trailer on until I told them they had to. They told me it was up to me to put it on. It is not. It is their responsibility to ensure the equipment is secure. Not mine. And when he did put it on, he didn't secure it properly as I had chains dragging and hanging low and one chain wasn't even hooked to my vehicle.ANDREW S.

I have been a Uhaul customer for 40 years...My pick up was managed by the most irresponsible process I have ever seen. While I dont judge personal demeanor, the unprofessional attitude towards myself and others who came in was unprofessional and unacceptable...I had to walk around the corner to get my truck, given no paperwork, no registration to truck, no contract proof I hadn't stole the vehicle, and no drop off location out of state....No damage check list....NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING....Never again from this guy.....DONALD B.

Improve computer and internet connection for more reasonable processing time. Management avoid distracting employees while they are processing transaction. Ask customer if they want insurance rather than making assumptions. Assist customer with hookup. Avoid parking trailers with back in bushes so that the tongue can be lifted easier. If customer must hookup alone, actually check out the hookup and lights rather than simply taking a picture of license plate.Will C.

So it started when Friday I had a reservation with a reservation number for a truck I reserved a week ago and I show up and they gave my truck to someone else. I had to get a truck Saturday morning when I needed it the night before. When I got the truck I was not given a paper or anything showing the mileage or the gas as well as the back was filthy.
