Nothing. The man who helped me made sure I was getting the cheaper deal as far as where to return the truck. The previous person I talked to wasn’t concerned about the price but the man in deep gap cut my price in half. I appreciated that.

Norm was really helpful in setting up the storage unit in a pinch for me. The only complaint is that the lift was broken and we were in the second floor. I do understand that that situation was a bit out of his control.

The pickup location was fine the truck dirty, smelled of severe smoke, and broken tire gauge. The drop off location had no phone signal for online returns, office had a sign saying call for assistance not onsite but no signal to call. Experience was a dive

This was my drop off location however I was asked if I could take my rental to a different location on my way home. I know this was a busy weekend for the area but maybe in the future be better prepared.

Open a dropoff center in Boone. Because of college starting, everyone was dropping off their trucks or trailers. There simply was not enough room for the equipment. The owner was very nice, but you could tell that he was stressed. It’s basically a little place on the side of the road with very little parking. I don’t understand why you don’t have a uhaul center in a major college town.

The location was small and there was not enough room for me to pull in. I had to park parallel to the road and block other trucks in. Not a problem. There was a bag of trash strewn across the parking lot. I wouldn't "report" either issue but your question specifically asked if the location was clean. Also, no cell service so I just had to drop the key in the box without knowing what else I needed to do. Hopefully, that was OK.

Norm at deep gap storage is a dear. The uhaul storage in Boone over booked their units so when I went to get keys on move in day they informed they didn’t have a unit for me. Norm rented me a climate controlled 8x12 which was bigger than one I reserved and for 39.95 less. He had my trailer ready for pick up and even loaned me a ball to fit it. Overall great experience and would recommend

Norm, the manager, is most helpful and courteous. He is considerate of your needs and goes above and beyond to help you in any way he can. Norm keeps a close eye on the units and maintains and secures them in an outstanding manner. I will definitely maintain a unit at Deep Gap Storage- great relationship with Norman!!!! Kudos! Tgerock

had to wait 20 minutes after my reservation before anyone showed up. Truck was issued to me with a tire that was leaking air. I had to fill up with air twice on a 3-day rental. The invoice showed 4 day rental when it was only 3 days. The operator offered to give me the $20 back out of his pocket since he didi not know how to correct his mistake.

Vehicle was not clean as others I have rented. Vehicle had a lot of play in the steering for it to only have 50000 miles. The dealer rep was great and saw no issues with him. This was a small sub branch of the main office in Boone NC.

The trailer was very useful to me and I appreciate the service. BUT the website was terrible and did not list the rental location so I had to get the contract at Deep Gap where the agent made an error on the date. This resulted in two irritating calls from the Wiinston Salem agent. The ball clamp was defective and very difficult to attach and remove.

I was sent over 35 minutes away from my original pickup location because my truck wasn't there!!!! We had to reschedule our pickup and stay over night at a hotel costing us more than the truck rental. This was my first and last time renting from Uhaul. The only positive note about this whole trip was Norm at the Deep Gap location. Otherwise a miserable experience.

The owner is normally closed on Sunday and he was willing to meet me to get me the truck. Small town love!!!! Won’t find that anywhere!!!!! Many, many thanks!!!!

For starters, not be liars. We called this uhaul place and they told us the price for the uhaul would be $550 and we had $1000 in our pocket so we would have plenty of gas money, have a room for a night because it's a 16 hour drive and I had little sleep. So we went to the uhaul place and Deep Gap an hour away from where we were. We could have gone local instead but chose to go to Deep Gap for the cheaper price. We got there and he said the price was a little more then he thought. So the price went from $550 to $678 to $712 to $789 to a final price of $889, almost all our money so now we barely had any money left. So we had to borrow $200 from friends and family just to get to Kansas because we almost got stuck in Missouri because they screwed us on our money. Not only that but they told us the uhaul was good on gas and it was new but it was dirty and I had to clean it before we left, the gas was going down like 3 miles every mile without heat on or anything, also I had to drive 24 hours straight on 2 hours of sleep because we could now not afford a room because they kept changing the price. I brought it back a little under a quarter and now I owe $150 in gas and fees even though it would only take about $60 to $70 to get it back to the three quarters it was at. I have never had such a horrible experience.

My experience w/U-Haul was unacceptable. Location was fine/agent was fine but I had to drive over an hour to p/u the vehicle because the place where I was supposed to get it did not have one.....although when I drove by it there were several in the parking l. When I talked to your coordinator she offered only to give me an extra 40 miles of credit for my inconvenience. This is absurd!

The dealer at Deep Gap Storge provided excellent service, the problem was that the Neighborhood Dealer Pineview Building in Wilkesboro stood me up by not showing up at the appointed time, I had to pay my hired Moving Help $160 for the two hours it took for me to secure another truck in the next County, and another $160 to actually load the truck!

I was told the rental would be $55 per day. I had the rental for 28 hours. I was charged $294.55. When I was at the rental store about the rent the trailer, I asked why am I being charged for 4 days when I will only need it for at most 2 days. He said Uhaul would reimburse me for any days I did not use the trailer. He then wrote an 866 number on the top of my rental contract and told me to call if I was not reimbursed. I was charged the amount for 4 days, and when I called the number (866-723-3060) they told me they could not reimburse me. I am now entered into a claim dispute be reimbursed for the time that I did not use the trailer. This is very frustrating, I was told one thing by the sales person and a totally different thing by the people at the 1-866 number.

WAS TOLD MY CARD WOULD NOT BE CHARGED AND I COULD PAY CASH WHEN THE TRAILER WAS RETURNED. Was sent to 2 after hours locations-1 specifically said no overnight drop offs and the other was dark and unsafe and again not a place to actually drop keys in. Called the 800 several times talking about how unsafe it felt and then tried to return truck online and had no service to actually do that. Will think twice about picking uhaul again.
