Nothing!!! My wife and I broke down and had a trailer. I needed a truck to pull trailer and other stuff. The owner picked me up at a car dealership at closing time and took me to his place and rented me the truck. He went out of his way to help. I tried to give him a tip but wouldn't take it. A solid hand shake was all he would take.

Matthew SI dropped off the vehicle on Sunday when place was not open (which I knew wouldn't be and wasn't a problem) so I never interacted with anyone. The only issue was there was hardly anywhere to park because everyone who had a Uhaul in the area dropped their rental off there. It took them awhile to check the vehicle back in so it was a nerve wrecking to see notifications on the app that it was overdue. However, once they did check it in everything was as it should be.
MARK RThe lot was full when I got there, no one was working as it was a Sunday Morning for drop off. I was able to get the truck parked but I had to take my pictures and drop off protocol in the main road which was busy so it was a lot of back and forth. The location only had one bar of cell service as well which made logging pictures very difficult. The app ended up locking out and closing and I was unable to finish. I had to call the UHAUL 1-800 number for help, they advised what I should do and so far everything has ended up being ok. It's tough to have a business there as cell signal is spotty all across that region, but perhaps a guest wifi could be put in if UHAUL Corporate is depending on the app for self service. All in all a good experience, just a bit touch and go Sunday morning.
Paul WNo one was on site to receive the truck when I returned it and there was no place to park the truck. In addition I feel like I was incorrectly charged for the vehicles fuel level, and charged additional money. I may not rent another uhaul truck this was a bad experience.

Kevin SThe location was not the issue. The man was very nice. Do NOT let this review reflect poorly on him! He did his job perfectly. However, I booked this a week ahead of time. This destroyed my moving plans. This was truly a horrible, horrible experience because nobody assigned a truck to my reservation, meaning I was unable to pick it up during the store hours. Nobody was able to help move because of this error and I had such a tiny timeframe to work with after being able to pick it up, which wouldn't have been a problem if not for my moving assistance, who specifically made a point to be available on the day in which we reserved the truck. So, please don't assign my truck to another store without verifying and confirming a time contingent with the store's schedule!
Seth CMy issue is not with the pick up or drop off location. My issue is that I reserved a 15 ft. truck 6 minutes from the moving location. The evening before I reserved the truck - I get a text that my pick up location is 35 minutes away. I also had to get a 26 ft. truck. I didn't want or need a truck that large.

Catherine HOpen a dropoff center in Boone. Because of college starting, everyone was dropping off their trucks or trailers. There simply was not enough room for the equipment. The owner was very nice, but you could tell that he was stressed. It's basically a little place on the side of the road with very little parking. I don't understand why you don't have a uhaul center in a major college town.

There was a bag of trash strewn across the parking lot. I wouldn't "report" either issue but your question specifically asked if the location was clean. Also, no cell service so I just had to drop the key in the box without knowing what else I needed to do. Hopefully, that was OK.
Rick SNorm at deep gap storage is a dear. The uhaul storage in Boone over booked their units so when I went to get keys on move in day they informed they didn't have a unit for me. Norm rented me a climate controlled 8x12 which was bigger than one I reserved and for 39.95 less. He had my trailer ready for pick up and even loaned me a ball to fit it. Overall great experience and would recommend
Kelann ENorm, the manager, is most helpful and courteous. He is considerate of your needs and goes above and beyond to help you in any way he can. Norm keeps a close eye on the units and maintains and secures them in an outstanding manner. I will definitely maintain a unit at Deep Gap Storage- great relationship with Norman!!!! Kudos! Tgerock

Dave Thad to wait 20 minutes after my reservation before anyone showed up. Truck was issued to me with a tire that was leaking air. I had to fill up with air twice on a 3-day rental. The invoice showed 4 day rental when it was only 3 days. The operator offered to give me the $20 back out of his pocket since he didi not know how to correct his mistake.

Michael WThe trailer was very useful to me and I appreciate the service. BUT the website was terrible and did not list the rental location so I had to get the contract at Deep Gap where the agent made an error on the date. This resulted in two irritating calls from the Wiinston Salem agent. The ball clamp was defective and very difficult to attach and remove.
William DI was sent over 35 minutes away from my original pickup location because my truck wasn't there!!!! We had to reschedule our pickup and stay over night at a hotel costing us more than the truck rental. This was my first and last time renting from Uhaul. The only positive note about this whole trip was Norm at the Deep Gap location. Otherwise a miserable experience.

David HFor starters, not be liars. We called this uhaul place and they told us the price for the uhaul would be $550 and we had $1000 in our pocket so we would have plenty of gas money, have a room for a night because it's a 16 hour drive and I had little sleep. So we went to the uhaul place and Deep Gap an hour away from where we were. We could have gone local instead but chose to go to Deep Gap for the cheaper price. We got there and he said the price was a little more then he thought. So the price went from $550 to $678 to $712 to $789 to a final price of $889, almost all our money so now we barely had any money left. So we had to borrow $200 from friends and family just to get to Kansas because we almost got stuck in Missouri because they screwed us on our money. Not only that but they told us the uhaul was good on gas and it was new but it was dirty and I had to clean it before we left, the gas was going down like 3 miles every mile without heat on or anything, also I had to drive 24 hours straight on 2 hours of sleep because we could now not afford a room because they kept changing the price. I brought it back a little under a quarter and now I owe $150 in gas and fees even though it would only take about $60 to $70 to get it back to the three quarters it was at. I have never had such a horrible experience.

Location was fine/agent was fine but I had to drive over an hour to p/u the vehicle because the place where I was supposed to get it did not have one.....although when I drove by it there were several in the parking l. When I talked to your coordinator she offered only to give me an extra 40 miles of credit for my inconvenience. This is absurd!
