I ended up having to spend more money then I wanted after my original reservation was moved. Maybe next time offer a couple free miles since my pick up location was 20 miles different then my original reservation.

I have concerns about EXTRA charges on the car carrier which was supposed to be $79.00 and ended up significantly more. I rented a 26 foot truck and went to Virginia returned to rent a 20 foot truck and had to drive 2 hours out of my way to pick up and then a different place for car carrier which had to get next day. This made the return of the truck one day late! so I believe the charges on the car carrier are excessive and the extra day truck rental was due to unavailability of the equipment and I had to drive a total of 3 hours extra. Please consider reimbursing my account appropriately. Looking forward to hearing from you. Kevin Stecklin

You guys suck, and we will be sure to tell anyone and everyone to avoid your service like the plague. I submitted an earlier detailed critique that seems to have 'disappeared'. U-Haul's logistics are terrible, choose pods instead. It started off well, but corporate whose call centers are located in South Asia were hapless and totally unhelpful. Our boxes arrived late and once emptied clogged up our driveway for 5 days.

Eric provides his customers with excellent customer service! the location was very easy to find and the process was quick and easy. always try to call to make reservations directly with any location as the U-Haul system the internet an will not provide you with the customer service this location and other independent dealers try to provide all who call them directly rather than booking online! thanks Eric!

However my original confirmation email indicated rental was at 23 Reynolds St. Arrived at this location only to find it closed. Called gentleman on State Route 23 who called be day before and he directed me to correct location.

Not sure how long the trailer I had rented had the left side of the rear marker lights not working. I was pulled over by a trooper while traveling with the trailer to ask about the lack of lights. This trailer should probably be checked for all lights working. Also noticed one of the marker lights on the right side at the bottom the wire was detached. No leaks driving through rain though so that was the most important for me.

Owner at D&S Storage stayed beyond his normal closing time as we were running a little late for pickup. SUPER friendly and helpful! HOWEVER: U-Haul (NOT D&S) did the old 'bait and switch' on us at the last minute. We had a 10ft van reserved AND confirmed. However we were notified less than 24 hours before pickup that we had to go to a 15ft truck. Yes, same rate - but it was a GAS HOG. I spent over $90 in gas when I was only expecting about half that for such a small move of furniture.

Most answers to your questions are positive, but only because you don't ask the right questions. It was difficultly to communicate with :Uhaul, specifically Canyon Country - as they were always too busy and phone calls rerouted to central service center. And no one seemed to know which end was up. After many calls, and confusing info on web site, when I finally talked to Tamara in shipping operations all our boxes were located and shipped together. This process delayed shipment, but they did arrive just in time to use the Tday weekend to unload. However, because of the delay - it was impossible to make solid plans in advance. Then once the shipping was arranged the price jumped $1000 more than previously quoted. Again after many phone calls, Freddy at Canyon Country was able to make a price adjustment. the entire process was less than smooth, although everyone we talked to was as helpful and courteous as possible, given the poor Uhaul systems and communication channels.

This rental experiece was a fiasco from getgo. I reserved a van online on friday for the next day. Then I got a call from the place I was to pick it up and was told it was not available at all and he didn't know why the online app. would allow a reservation. And he had nothing even similair to rent to me. So I tried other local places and was told there wasn't anything available. One place did give me a (518) number and I was able to get a reseration for a 10 foot truck through them instead. The place was further away from me and would be closed at pickup and drop off. So I had to do an online pickup. Gas was at 3/4 and we used about 34 miles. So returned the truck to an un-lit area at dark.Then Monday and Tuesday I got charged $108.97 which included $42 for EZ gasoline. and we had put gas into it and got it back to the 3/4 mark. Plus I got charged for another truck that I did not even rent, $38.67 on a separate contract. It was for a larger truck, that I didnt request nor did I pick up.. Today I did call the (518) number and they credited me back money, but I feel like something wasn't right here and I was being overcharged . A previous rental for a van and the same mileage was $58 while this one now cost $66. It's closein the charge but confusing why It would be $8 more. The online reservation application screwed up my request, I don't know why, but I won't be using that again, nor will I be going back to this UHaul place to rent, and I am truly hesitant to use UHaul at all anymore. And I do need to rent a van again either this weekend or the nest and I am truly considering going elsewhere. Thanks for the refund, but I shouldn't have had to do all this extra calling to get charged the correct amount.

Our boxes were a month late from what we requested. We had water damage in one of our two containers. UHAUl should retire the damaged covers. On pickup one was sliced at the point where water entered. On delivery there was no cover over the top of the door. Again where water entered. That last cover was in near shreds. I would not recompense UHAUl boxes.

Dropping off was a breeze here especially because the apparent owner pulled in behind me and said he'd take the key and paperwork (my receipt). I'm confused and concerned that I've been over charged because I thought (ignorantly) the truck was $39.95 &.99 cents a mile. I got charged $288 and 104 miles of which I only drove 56 according to the truck mileage. Please let me know where I'm miscalculating. Thank you David Schuman
