No issues with the drop off. It was easy and quick, good location. I drove a little farther to drop off just like picking up because some of the dealers closer had questionable looking lots. This location was clean with plenty of room to park the truck.

rent from this location a lot (it's closest to me) & every time i go in to pickup guy at counter always seems to be im a bad moon like im an inconvenience taking away from his auto shop... again i come in to rent a lot but there is aways some hoop needing jump thru before i get the rental.

charged $60\hold on my card for a $14.95\day flat rate utility trailer. still trying to get my money back.. but all ive got from the owner is we released the hold contract ur bank.. bank say we havnt receive deposit contact yhe store ... its been 3 months

Let them know not only will you be charges for gas but a lot of extra fees. Let customer know how many miles per gallon the truck can use so they know how much it takes to fill to the quarter tank line.

Do what you say you are going to do. ie, email the receipt upon payment. Be more attentive to detail, ie, give out the same equipment as the one documented. Do a little more research when equipment with the wrong dispatch number is returned.

The location was closed when we arrived to pick up the truck, so I had to call customer service to be switched over to RideShare 24/7 instead of being able to pick up in person. This resulted in a slight delay, but the customer service team was great and got us all ready to go in no time!

I've rented trucks & trailers from this place a lot past few months.. a deposit was held for trucks as normal but never for trailer.. just payed for the day. For some reason they decided charge me $60 for a 5x9 utility trailer for one day when it should of only been $18.95 for the day & $8 for insurance.. (they must be using that core math or something) but by my calculations that doesn't equal $60. I've disputed it with my bank but it can take up to 45 days for an answer so I guess I'm out my money until I hear from them

We appreciated the convenience of anytime pick up and drop off, but all of the sign-in, photos of drivers, odometer, and van cab etc was a bit over the top. This was required at both pick up and drop off. Overall a great experience.

Same goes for Steve (he was superb!) at drop off at Hwy 933 location in South Bend IN. Don’t rollout handhelds in an effort for efficiency and not back that sufficiently with training and support to really improve effectiveness (No one’s words but my observations).

The vehicle was dirty inside. It was so loud when you drove it you had to talk very loud to be heard. The steering was loose. There was a lot of movement in the steering.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The truck, however, was a piece of junk. It started shaking every time I took it over 50. The button for the headlights was missing (I found out the hard way!), and the engine sounded like it was about to blow up.

The connection to do the self online check in was terrible. Not sure what the problem was but the other person that was also trying to pick up a truck was having the same problem. Made the process stressful and frustrating.

The service from Steve at Dale’s was exceptional, as always. I am ****EXTREMELY**** disappointed with the overall Uhaul reservation experience, and complete lack of customer ***service*** (from the 800 call center, the Indianapolis dispatch center and the location on Western Ave in South Bend. Clearly, customer care, service and satisfaction means NOTHING. The ****ONLY**** UHaul location I will ever deal with again (if needed) will be Dale’s. Otherwise I will refrain from using or recommending UHaul ever again.

Well, have more trucks to choose to rent. The 26’ truck had 169,900 miles on it and it drove nice but the driver’s door was so badly damaged that it made a horrid noise and leaked air as well. The Manager at Dales Auto Service was wonderful to work with, and made renting the truck easy

My trunk was very dirty, there was food in the glove department. The wrong gas cap was also on. So the check engine light was on the entire 2020 mile ride. The truck rode horribly. The moving blankets were just thrown in the back of the truck. I believe I only saw maybe 6 there were no packages. I had a very horrible experience with Uhaul. I already had to travel 2 hours to get it for a horrible one way move. I’m not pleased at all.

Our reservation was made online for truck pickup in Elkhart, IN. When we arrived, we were told that it had been changed to South Bend, IN. We never received notification of this change either by phone call, text or email. This was an hour+ travel time each way for us. Very disappointing. Thankfully, the man @ Dale’s was helpful. This change caused major delays and additional stress on an already trying day. Next time we’ll use Penske. Thx.

I was highly disappointed when I arrived to pick up my reserved 26’ truck (that I had done early check in on) to find they didn’t have a 26’ truck. The gentleman at the counter said if I reserved on line “that never works”. I was able to get the 20’ truck after waiting 25minutes on hold for uhaul customer service who didn’t care at all that my reservation was not reserved. In all this cost me an extra trip and a wasted hour by the time I finally got to my storage unit, where I had help waiting the entire time. Uhaul needs to take better care of their customers, I do not plan to ever return after this experience!
