William A.We picked up our truck at Croteau.s Family Auto..It was Saturday and they were closed and we were unaware of the online process and had no code from uhaul to get the key out of the lock box…I called the owner Joyce and she didn't hesitate she drove to the garage on her day off and helped us rent the truck… I have rented from her many times in the past and she goes above and beyond for her customers…I would highly recommend them for whatever your needs may be

Robert M.I would recommend Croteaus because they were very helpful when the truck broke down in my driveway and the billing on the replacement truck which was ten dollars more per day and the mileage was twenty cents more per mile.On the other hand I was extremely disappointed with U Haul for not working with me on these extra charges. I will never rent a truck from your company again and will tell everyone about my unpleasant experience with U Haul.You own the truck but it became my problem. I will not forget this for the rest of my lifetime.Your company sucks.If I ever get into this situation again I will take my business elsewhere. I am done with UHaul forever!
Robert M.The truck I rented broke down in my driveway. It took an hour to get roadside assistance.They got it started but I had to bring it back and get another truck.The replacement truck was ten dollars more per day and twenty cents more per mile. I was very unhappy about the increased fees and feel I should not have been charged for something that was not my fault. If I do not get a refund I will share my unpleasant experience with my family,friends and coworkers and will never rent from U Hail again. I will be returning the replacement today.

mike M.My experience with the dealer was good but I had to call customer service and the customer service person we talk to thought I was on hold but I could hear everything he was saying and he was swearing and saying I was very needy and didn't understand why I couldn't read the instructions because I needed help and when I said something to him he tried to deny it until I repeated what he was saying then he retracted it and said he was talking about something else not me Very unprofessional that is his job to help me did not like hearing what he had to say about having to help me but then he was nice as pie after he realized I knew what he said

GLENN K.Called to confirm open times for the drop off but nobody picked up the phone. Finally just drove there to drop off the next day. The person on scene was busy trying to sort out another botched Uhaul reservation and couldn't help with the check in. I waited a while and finally figured out how to check in using the web. After 30 minutes the staff person was still not available so I just left the key. Check in wasn't as terrible as check out, but both were not a good experience. I'll dread my next move if I have to go with Uhaul.
Ed K.Nothing to bad say about the location as the woman who worked here called me early to give me a heads up about the terrible situation Uhaul was about to put us in…we were forced to drive a 3 hour round trip to get this truck. We had selected a uhaul dealer 2 min down the road but the nearest truck traveling out of state was over 100 miles away. I understand you have a “preferred location†note on your website but I find driving that distance unacceptable, it's beyond “not preferred†and is in the realm of ridiculous. We put in our reservation a month prior to the move and if there was even a potential foreseen issue, having known that would have helped my sanity tremendously because we could have planned for it. We have a small baby and our lease was ending - it threw a very difficult and stressful situation at us during an already intensely stressful time. Not to mention the price of gas. I'm not someone to complain but I just felt like this was so inconsiderate to the needs of a moving person/family and I really wish you'd add a note about how far someone may be expected to drive if they cannot secure a truck at their preferred location. Truly just such a distrustful experience with your brand and I will always go with a competitor from now on, and I'll tell my friends the same.

Howard L.The Western Massachusetts based regional organization is just awful to deal with. I tried multiple times to rent a local truck only to be told I had to pick it up in Morrisville, more than an hour away, as opposed to 15 minutes away, at the location I rented from. The person with whom I spoke delivered the customer service hat trick: rude, condescending, and unknowledgeable. Well done, hat tricks in any endeavor are rare.

Tim A.Renting a truck from U-Haul was a nightmare. I was bombarded with endless texts and emails that I could hardly read on my cell phone. I think I stopped reading them after the fifth one. The truck drop off, the 24 seven process, did not work at all. U-Haul.com/share did not bring me to truck return. I hassled was “signing in “and a history of a U-Haul rental five years ago came up. I struggle for a half an hour then finally drop ped the key in the box and left. I don't want to have to take pictures of the truck, the dashboard, the fuel gauge. Horrible horrible customer service. Never again
