Location wasn't even open and I had to drive to another location which was hell plus I feel over charged and cheated

I rented on day one for a two day rental and the very next day was called by CC towing in Hubbard saying I was late dropping off my rental. I had schedule with Cromartie to drop off the rental at Andrews Air Force Base two days after I picked it up, not next day at noon in Hubbard. Called for help, was given another number to call, spoke to this lady and she had to be the most unpleasant person I have spoke to treating me as though I was bothering her. She ended up fixing it but not before becoming borderline insulting. I am in the customer service industry, so I get it, but I did not call with attitude, I called with a problem that was not created by me. As far as UHaul, the trailer I used was clean with no issues. CC Towing in Hubbard actually called back several times to help me fix my reservation and they were not the location that made the error nor made the money, so hats off to them for stepping up and representing your brand with quality.

William M"U-HAUL" sign and lock boxes not visible from vehicles. Condition of truck was adequate but not reassuring, check engine light came on, steering felt remote. Appreciate the iPhone app to pick-up and return without an agent, but it was cumbersome and time consuming. Called for help three times, but all reps were very patient, pleasant and helpful.

Beverly HMake sure there are lock boxes at all locations to put the keys in and make sure they are marked. Also when getting the keys out of a lock box the codes need to work.

Jesse RThe truck was filthy on the inside, I actually had to remove a window advertisement from the front window and had 2 or 3 spiders crawling on me while I was driving. The business management made ZERO effort to prepare the vehicle or clean it from past users, I was go so far to say it likely has not been cleaned in months. I had to spend 45 minutes getting the rental set up when I was told the office would be open at 9 a.m. Had I know that I would have waited until 11 or made other arrangements. The location is a gambling hall with very sketchy people loitering the area. Did not feel safe and under no circumstances would I rent from this location or recommend to anyone.

Felix RFix the 24/7 Sign-In App which was recently updated. It took the picture of the front of my Driver's License (after a long delay) but would not scan the back of my License. Also, I reserved a 10' Box Truck (wanted a 10' Cargo Van but apparently you only allow Company Franchises to have them) but was assigned a 15" Box Truck which presented problems accessing the driveway we were making the delivery to. Had to unload on the street.

Danielle MOnline when you put in a order and it gives you a certain amount. Nothing like when you get there it was an additional 160.00 deposit. Then I'm talking to some strange woman over the phone taking my information, and I'm waiting on money back. It didn't take forever to take my money , but it's a stupid process to get it back

robert dFix U-Haul's 24/7 Rental App. It took me 1 hour to reserve the Rental. My previous rental took me 1 hour (40 minutes on the phone) to pick up my Rental. My previous return took me 45 minutes (25 minutes on the phone) to return the Rental. This time I scheduled the pickup and return during business hours to avoid having to use the App which worked very well except I had to pick up the Rental a day early. The App would not accept my Location, would not take photos of me or my Drivers License, would not scan the back of my Drivers License.
JOSEPH MThe mobile pickup app sucks it does not work. It's terrible, tried to get a truck at 9:30. Had to wait for the store to open at 11 ridiculous. The app is absolutely terrible needs. Redone completely, the store was great, the app just the opposite.
Robert PPurposely overcharged I didn't get the truck for 3 days.. it was for 2 days and they charged me for 3 after making up a random time it was dropped off . Never in office and didn't see it come in and had called and didn't know where the truck was.. am I bring it back? Wow try looking in ur parking lot lmao. Waiting for refund patiently.. lol
ROBIN GThe business that it shows the U-Hauls are at isn't even there anymore. Once we finally got helped the gentleman was awesome to deal with and down to earth. When we got in the truck it had half a tank and said "202 miles to Empty". When we returned the truck it was at half a tank and said "208 miles to empty" yet U-Haul still charged an additional amount for "fuel"

Jose RThe oil needs changed in the vehicle - I was unable to get a good picture of milage and the full gas tank because 2 seconds after turning the vehicle on (while the gas gauge was still rising) the milage display changed to "change oil". Other than that, Cromartie was very kind and helpful for our last minute arrangement. The mobile app was frustrating to check in and out. I was unable to indicate in the app that the oil needed changed - when I clicked "no" to some question like, "is this vehicle ready for the next person" I tried to say no, the box popped up for me to mention why (literally just an oil change), and then because of that I was unable to continue to the next screen. So I was kind of forced to say everything was fine, otherwise I was stuck with the vehicle that was due back soon after I returned it. The literal only bad thing about this experience was the app.
Sarah OInquired about other possible future rentals because I noticed a car carrier and something else that I might be interested in. I was told the only thing that is a constant there was the van. That other equipment is always moving around. Need more choices
