Terrible drop-off experience. Unfriendly, unwelcoming, and unhelpful staff. I tried to explain that the truck was not full of fuel upon accepting it. I explained that I returned the truck with more fuel than I received it but it was not “full”. Further, I explained that the furniture dolley was in the back of the truck. This gentleman made no attempt at communicating with me besides an “okay” here and there. He made no attempt at doing a turn in inspection. He was sitting behind a cluttered and messy desk for our entire interaction. I asked where I could put the key and he said to just drop it on the counter. I dropped it on the counter and left. Awful customer service!! The place of business was a disaster; a messy and disorganized environment. This is our local U-Haul provider. Based on this experience, I will NEVER use this location again.

We have rented several trucks over the course of a few months for a big move. This is a great location for us. We pickup at counter and the pick up process has gone well as well as the drop off. I would recommend this location.

Explain why there was a 10am pickup time on reservation when this location had NO ONE in the office and utilized a lockbox pickup? The owner was on a wrecker call for the county according to the answering service and attempted to help but was via phone. I could have picked it up earlier and since first time using this lockbox it took an hour and numerous phone calls to complete. I also had Additionally when trying to unlock the combo locks, they did not work!! Awful, old and wonky locks. Suggest using digital locks to avoid any frustrations. Also thought the truck engine was having alot of issues but thankful it made it.

I selected the 24/7 pick up, which turned out not to be available at this location. When I came back, they weren't open and ready for business, hadn't checked in the previous days trucks, and were extremely unorganized. The truck's check engine light was on, and the app did not work properly at check in, causing me to have to call U-haul to confirm vehicle turn in, even though the location should have still been open. I accidentally left a dolly in the truck, and there was no way to contact the location until Monday morning to retrieve it. Overall, I wasted at least 4 hours due to poor organization and app not functioning properly.

Truck was not well maintained. Windshield had large crack and there were empty soda bottles still in the cab. The cargo areas also needed to be cleaned before I placed my items inside. Had to use this location in a crunch and thankfully the truck got the job done. Not my usual Uhaul experience.

First they looked my wife up and down like they were in a bar. Second, they had to call someone to know how to ring up the rental. That took time..... 1 hour it took!!! Third, I paid for trailer hook up and disconnect. They failed to disconnect on return. Lastly, location reeked of cigarette smoke.

I had a 445 appointment to pick up the van. I got there at 435 and the guy wasn't there. Another business sharing the same building called him to tell him he had a customer and he said he would be back soon. He came back at 530 with many groceries in his truck. Iwaited almost an hour so he can go grocery shopping on the clock when i had an appointment. There was trash and used masks in the van from the previous driver.

Truck was stink and had pet hair on the seats. Could have used a quick vacuum and a cleaning in the front and cargo area. No windshield fluid and the tire pressure light stayed on. The ac was nice and cold. I would recommend a friend or rent again because of convenience in Moncks Corner.

The location I went to was the third one I tried in the Charleston South Carolina area that had what I needed the other locations were so slow and you had to have an appointment and the appointments were backed up. The price for a dual axle trailer was almost $1000 which is outrageous

I will never go through this place again to rent a U-Haul. The owner shouldn't be in business. I had a reservation at 3, show up at 330 and the guy behind the counter says he doesn't know what he's doing and can't help me until the owner gets back from lunch around 4 and he will take my name and number for him to call when he gets back. I wait in the parking lot until 4 and walk in and the guy says oh you just missed him, he will be back in about 20 minutes. I said I don't have time for this, I'll just go somewhere else. I go back to my car and try calling a different place but they didn't have anything available. So against my better judgment, I wait around until the owner gets back and I have my husband go in instead since I'm highly aggravated. My husband comes out and says, “I will never do business with him again, he kept walking in the back while I was trying to talk to him and would ask me a question and I would go to answer and he would start talking to another guy in there. He is very unprofessional.” I would never do business with him again.

The spare tire was sitting in the cargo area, unmounted, the back was dusty and dirty and had trash in it. 3 days since dropping it off, because the uhaul guy wasn't there we had to leave it. Despite telling them to call when they were ready to bill us, so I could give them a card with enough funds to cover the rental and miles, they tried running my bank card that has no money on it. The sliding door doesn't close and latch properly and the rear cargo door glass SHATTERED when I closed the door. Poorly maintained vehicles, inept staff. I'll drive the extra 25 miles to a different location next time I need a van or truck.

The side door didn't close properly and once actually latched, it was difficult to get open. One of the tires started losing air and it turns out there was a plug in the tire.

Be at the location on time when it opens! We were there to pick up our truck and tow trailer at 9am which the time that was set up no one came to the office till 10:30 am. Then we had to wait another hour for the truck and trailer to get there. No one inspected the truck except to make sure it was cleaned out then handed the keys over without checking the tires on the truck or the trailer or checking anything else either. We got a little over a 100 miles from SC to Tennessee when we had a blow out on the trailer and fire coming out from where we had the blow out we sat on the interstate for an hour and a half waiting on someone to come change it out! We lost 2 hours of time to get to our destination and lost 2 and a half hours getting the truck loaded due to not getting the truck and trailer on time.

The steering on the truck I rented was very loose, you couldn't drive it over 50 mph. I reported it to the young man working there, and he said that he would let his boss know. He also said that someone else had said something about the steering.

At the time I made the reservation, I was offered CDW, and I respectfully declined the additional coverage. My confirmation reflects that I did not agree to accept this because it is not included in the payment amount. I am greatly disappointed that this charge was added to my bill, even though I declined it at the time I entered into the contract.

The inside of the cab was disgusting. The driver's cup holder was full of crumbs, there was dirt and debris all over the floor, and all surfaces felt sticky. Like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. The bag inside the cargo said 6 moving blankets, but there was only 5. A dolly wasn't provided, nor the ability to request one since no one was there. Additionally, there was a check engine light the entire time I drove the truck. No employees were at the location to talk to regarding these issues.

It wasn't the service that was bad, it was the truck needing repairs. The engine light stayed on, it was filthy inside and outside, I could not read the mileage in the odometer, the gas cap fault light stayed on because the gas cap did not seal correctly. However; the service was friendly, and very helpful. I was dissapointed that the Saint Stephen U-haul site was closed on Thursday so I could not pick up my RESERVED truck there. I had to go to Moncks Corner ," which added 32 miles extra to my trip , and last minute logistics " to acquire a truck that was on reserve for the next morning. So I had to move quickly within the hour. I apreciate Crawfords U-Haul for helping me out a tight spot .

The doors were propped open and there 'open' was written on the window bit there was no one there. I called the # on the window and was given instructions to leave the keys in the drop box. No one told me about the mobile dropoff or anything. He told me to call and let uhaul know where I left it. The rep on the phone was almost rude and directed me to call someone else.

You guys charged me an extra $50 for nothing. we said we would be using 60 miles and we did not go over 62.. the gas is where it was when we picked this truck up. Everything was done right and you STILL charged me 50$ more. For what? I will never be coming back here again. EVER. HORRIBLE.

The truck i reserved was not there. no one at location when i arrived at reserved time He was 45 min. late. Sent to 2 other locations for my truck. No trucks. Finally found the truck i rented. 10 ft. i reserved it over a week ahead, it was gave to a person who reserved it the day before, while i stood there. Three people guaranteed i would get this truck. Never again U-Haul!
