Make sure all equipment is prepared and ready for customer before they arrive. I had to go in after getting my key to notify the workers that a tire was low on the truck they rented me. After waiting an extra 10 minutes for Area Field Manager Derek Greene t9 finish his phone, he treated me as though because I'm a girl, I don't know what I'm talking about and tried to explain the tire was probably fine before actually inspecting it. I would not have gone back in if the tire was not VISIBLY low, which I had said multiple times. The whole situation was inconvenience, and truly took up time that I could have used toward moving my apartment belongings to my new home.

Nearly every place in or around Providence for Uhaul is pretty terrible. I use these trucks a lot and have found things like old pizza, vomit, feces you name it left behind and stinking up the cab and truck or van. Customer service on the phone can often help but sometimes nothing happens. A very big bummer.

I was charged for fuel when the gas gauge was more than when I picked it up. The contract that i was first given had the wrong mileage which i did report.

On site employee arrived 15 minutes late. The app was not working and we had to call UHaul who put us in touch with the manager, who was very helpful, but the call kept dropping.

Renter's knowledge! I got tied up because of a tire on the uhaul I was renting. I then had to wait in the baking hot sun for them to make multiple phone calls. Took about a half hour and still didn't get the extra half hour I wasted due to the process. Over all good people just lacked the knowledge on what to do in that particular situation. And I'm still waiting on refund for the mileage I purchased. I requested 100 miles didn't use anywhere near the amount and still got charged.

-The van was somewhat dirty, not swept. Some trash from the previous renters remained. -The gas tank was marked at 3/4 full but it was 9/16. That's not a big difference but I didn't want to get charged more. -There ws a tire pressure light on that they said wouldn''t turn off. That didn't instill confidence. Tire pressure is important for good gas mileage and certainly don't want to get straanded on the road. - I parked my vehicle at the rental location, in the spot indicated by the staff. I was told it was no problem to return the van after hours. When I went to return the van, another renter had parked another uhaul in front of my vehicle and blocked me in. There was nothing I could do so had to drive the van back home. The next day was a Monday, and the rental office didn't open until 9am. So I had to take two hours off of work to get the van and then drop it off and get my vehicle during open hours. -They removed one day of charges, but that was only $20 and still charged me for the extra mileage I had to drive back and forth. My hourly rate at work is far more than $20 for two hours so it was extremely frustrating and a very bad experience. - When I suggested they put up additional signage to let people know not to return trucks in such a manner that they block people in, the rental office wasn't interested in that idea. They said "we have no control over where people park when they return trucks". While that may be true, there is no signage indicating where to park trucks upon return. Simple signage would probably fix this issue. I would never recommend this loation. I am extremely disappointed that U-haul did not refund me a larger portion of my expenses. I have had great experiences with Uhaul in the past but this one makes me want to rent from another brand in the future. If you have any ability to refund me further, I would appreciate it. Recently received excellent customer service from Kim and Chastity at the Compass Self Storage on Branch Avenue, Providence, RI. Each of the above-named helped to make the U-Haul rental stress-free. Moving can be a challenging time for anyone, and Kim and Chastity seemed to understand this. Their prompt attention, positive attitudes, and helpful suggestions went a long way in making the cargo van rental the easiest part of the whole endeavor!

App had trouble scanning picture so I had to use the website. You can barely see the "next step" tab hiding below. I also rented an appliance dolly, they didn't leave it in the truck. I had to wait till they opened. The customer service agent I spoke with was very nice helping me with the website and picking up my rental

There seemed to be some kind of dirty water spot in the back which got on some stuff, but I could get it off cause it was on a hard object luckily. Tire pressure was low likely due to cold weather.

Maybe it's because I don't rent Uhaul very often, but I wasn't 100% sure if I took the return photos correctly. It would be helpful for people like me to have a reference for each required photo to be sure. Otherwise, we used the 24/7 rent/return and it was VERY easy and convenient. The keys and key drop-off were clearly marked.

the van had trash left inside. when i went to return the van the location showed it was open but the door was locked the was a guy at the front desk and he seen me at the door, he walked away then came back several minutes later and unlocked the door. he never checked the van to make sure the gas was at the correct level nor did he update my mileage. i asked him why he didn't check the van and he told me i would receive a updated receipt within a hour and i still haven't received the updated receipt.

Manager named Kyle was the worst interaction. I've had with anybody in an establishment in years... I would highly recommend using another facility and do not use the one on Branch Avenue in the state of Rhode Island....

The process was fairly straightforward. Check-in was smooth and noneventful. One thing I would recommend. I noticed that all of the trucks were parked facing forward. I think it would be a good touch to have staff back them into a spot with the front facing outwards. This way a customer can just jump into the truck and drive off. The other way means they have to back up, sometimes blindly! This could be a safety issue, especially for nonprofessional drivers.
