The staff was lazy and didn't check the truck nor give me paperwork before I left and put an insurance charge on my card without asking! They was going to charge me for a full tank but had to show them I took a pic before I left. Please take pictures and ask questions about their fees!

I was informed it was?going to be $106.19. I had more gas than specified. It wasnot that low. It was 1 tad under half which is what i returned it to. $20.48 fuel is absurd if only 1 dash below. It was much closer to half full. Also i received a uhaul that stated oil change necessary!. It was?very alarming to me. This bill was way too high. Other locations were much lower when using same van!! Very disappointing!

No improvements needed by my standards!!!! Moving, being as fun as it is, why wouldn't you procrastinate? That's exactly what I did but these lovely ladies were able to accommodate me with a truck, van (very new and swanky one at that) and 2 neighboring storage units with half a days notice. My issue is with the U-Haul app needs a lot of work. While I tried to take care of all necessary tasks, it is still cumbersome to pick up equipment the day of...confirmation of the driver, identifying an alternate contact and verifying that upon pick up is too cumbersome. I have used this before and have been concerned that the time these tasks take impede on the time that I have reserved the equipment. Additionally, I had significant trouble checking In the equipment upon return. After numerous attempts to check the equipment back in, the app stalled. I never made it to the finish screen and was called the next day to confirm my return. Luckily I was not charrlfed the convenience fee associated with that. In other words, IMPROVE THE MOVILE PROCESS AND APP. U-Haul can make it easier especially for those who prepare in advance. No one wants to deal with extra stress when moving.

I rented a uhaul from compass self storage on 5th Ave Pgh pa. I go here all the time never had a problem. On this particular I was over charged for my rental amd the lady Kelly did not follow protocol to properly make sure the rental was fueled and track the current mileage. I asked about the over charges etc she stayteted to argue with me. I called 1!800 uhaul amd they refunded my over charged fees.

Employees at this location are completely worthless. We rented a 10ft truck and accidentally left our car keys in the truck after dropping it off. Took 5 days (over a long holiday weekend at that) to get ahold of someone at this location to retrieve our keys back. Location kept their phone lines to push to the call center and every time we spoke to someone at the call center they could not get through to the location. The call center had to reach out to the field manager to let them know that there was lost property within their vehicle. Went into uhaul today to go retrieve our keys after many failed attempts to contact the location and go to the location with closed signs on the door and no response from them after the call center and field manager said we would get a call back (4 days ago). The person working the desk gave us the truck key to go see if our keys were in there because “they couldn't find anything” and in plain view, our keys were right there. Thankfully the truck had not been rented and we were able to get our keys back, but those working at this location are completely incompetent.

She puts the "C" in Customer Service and that's no lie... I just love her personality. It was so easy to talk to and with her. A lot of people in your business, can take some valuable lessons from her, she has a lot to give to other, not just in her profession, but as a person, and a lot of individuals can learn a helluva lot from her expertise, wisdom and how to treat others just the way, you would want to be treated. The floor of the truck was completely wet (think puddles) when we got it. Most of the stuff we were moving was packed into cardboard boxe, so they eventually got wet. It's the first time that this has happened to us. There was heavy rain recently so maybe the truck should have been inspected before pick up. Other than that, reasonable service.

Location would not accept a UK licence, despite PA law and U-Haul policy (as posted on their website) both allowing a rental with a foreign licence. This location needs to learn their own policies, and not invent their own rules to inconvenience customers.

Why is a Puerto Rico license considered international when Puerto Rico is a US territory and puertorricans are US citizens and the PR license is part of the Real ID system that all other 50 states have? It was a very stressful and humiliating experience. I am moving into PA and it is obvious I do not have a PA license and I needed the truck to move. Your company should be easier to work with or at least provide a workaround like pay additional fees or additional insurance.

The best service ever!!! The woman at the front desk at this Compass Self Storage location was very helpful. I would definitely come back here and get in-store check-in with this nice woman instead of doing self-checkout. The online self-checkout service was bad! Go with the in-person service.

The check in on the app was a little slow. The verification done after I arrived at the site caused a delay. This should be done earlier in the process. What if my reference had not been available? Would I have been delayed even further? We did not use the app for the return, as we wanted it done efficiently. All else was great!!

It would be helpful to be able to make appointments, change appointment details and confirm appointment with a representative over the phone. I tried calling multiple times to the general help number and the specific location to confirm but never got through to a person after waiting over 30 minutes each call. I finally went in to confirm in person and am glad I did because the order went through incorrectly for which truck I needed. But the representatives at the location were very helpful and friendly and were a great help.

The UHaul app gave me a lot of problems (wouldn't upload photos) and I would have liked a warning that the pick up experience would take as long as it did. The location was good and employees were helpful.

The women working there were pleasant and super quick. Great experience all around. Check-in and pick up was much, much faster and smoother than my last Uhaul rental at this location (which was in 2020; I was required to do everything via app and it was very prolonged, glitchy, and frustrating).

The mobile check-in was very long and complicated to complete. We ended up walking in and the staff was awesome and very helpful. Walking in took half the time that our unsuccessful attempts at mobile check-in did.

Van was in great working condition mechanically but was very dirty upon giving it to us with the entire cabin filthy and seats full of dog hair. Disgusting condition to rent something to someone without cleaning it in between renters. Disappointing.

I used the self check-in feature and ended up losing about 45 minutes waiting for the app to verify my qualifications. Finally, I just went inside the storage business hosting the UHaul pickup site, and they helped me. I realize I may have taken the photos in a way that was difficult for the verification to be done, but it would have been nice if there was some indication what was happening. For instance, if the app were able to say that my pictures needed to be retaken in a certain way. Additionally, there's a chat feature that I tried to use, which I assumed would be connected to a chatbot of some kind, but those messages were not answered. Overall, I am happy with my rental, but I will likely not use this feature again.
