Once the vehicle is returned through the process defined in the app, an email acknowledgment that the vehicle return has been returned instead of just displaying a message on the app would help improve overall experience.

I was charged $76 for a $19.99 in town move with 9 miles in transportation. My husband returned the truck in less than 3 hours, his phone was dead, I tried to do the return from a different location when he got to me but it wouldn't work. So we payed almost triple.

I rented a storage unit at compass storage off of Hunkster in East lansing and the same place where I rented my uhaul! Bridgett was Awsome! She gave great customer service and made both very easy and actually corrected something for us as well and handled it very professionally and fast too, went out of her way with every step! She is the best!

I would not recommend uhaul at all to anyone ever. I had a horrific experience and the person at this location had to deal with multiple blunders from the phone calls i had with uhaul previous to pickup. She didn't do a great job, but she was also left with a bunch of garbage to manage. After multiple calls with people who had no clue and were all wrong, I finally reached someone in scheduling that was amazing named Jane. She straightened out the entire mess and opened a complaint for me. I haven't heard from anyone regarding this complaint, but I had a horrible experience.

They said I returned truck less with less gas than when I received it. But, I put in 13.5 gallons of gas for the 90 miles I drove and actually left it with 1/8 take more gas then when I received it. Shocked when I was charged $30 refuel charge and $34 for gas! Had to wait on hold for over an hour to get through to customer service to get this resolved!!! And, when I finally got through, rep said there was a picture of the dash showing the higher gas gauge so she refunded my money, but what a waste of my time!!

A representative was there behind the desk, but she told me to check my truck in myself. It was hard to find the location code to scan. There were so many trucks parked at the location that they were lined up along the road. It was hard to find a place to park.

Truck was dirty. The trunk/cargo area was full of dust, small little pebbles/rocks/small leaves. The front had empty wrappers stuffed in the middle compartment. Brakes were squeaky.

Fix the damn app and website. It crashes every 15 seconds and doesn't let you successfully pick up or return a truck. That's the bare minimum.

The hours on the UHaul website are incorrect for this storage facility. Was supposed to pick up U-Haul at 9 am and wasn't able to pick it up until after 10 am. U-Haul app is very glitchy and I never received a call about the time change. Wasted an hour waiting for the location to open. Associate was nice enough but U-Haul has some work to do in regards to their app, website, and call center.

Have the office better staffed. The poor woman was the only employee there on a busy weekend with MSU winding down for the semester. She was lovely, but could have benefited from another hand or two.

Wow! What a good experience. The equipment was immediately available the day I called with an urgent need. The truck was clean and in good repair with smooth and easy operation. blankets and a dolly were easily available on the truck in case one forgot to bring or inquire about such things.. Best of all the service was as kind as can be. The agent, Bridgett, went wonderfully and cheerfully above and beyond in her care of us as customers. Her service, with a big smile, a kind heart, and very effective and efficient technical expertise, made what could have been a trying day into one of ease and good humor. Thank you Bridgett and thank you U-Haul.

I was picking up my truck a few days after a snow storm. When I arrived none of the trucks had been cleaned off or shoveled out of the snow. I was given a key but the staff wasn't sure which truck it was so I trudged through the snow trying every door on 4 different trucks. I then had to spend the first 30 minutes of my rental cleaning a foot of snow off my truck and digging it out of the snow so it wouldn't get stuck before I could even leave the parking lot - the staff jokingly said sorry they hadn't had a chance to do it and then watched me as I cleaned it off myself. The back of the truck was filthy and spent another 30 minutes cleaning it out before I could put my own furniture in it.

The verification process needs improvement. It timed out multiple times while trying to go through the steps and it seems excessive to have to call contacts or have a passport, lease, etc. I already had to take a picture/scan my drivers license, put in my credit card info, and take a picture of myself. Possibly leaving it at that could make for a smoother pick up process. It also seems redundant to have no contact/mobile pickup process but then need to actually go in and talk to someone to get the key. Lastly the minimum 2day requirement for me to move from east Lansing to Detroit seemed a bit extreme. I understand wanting customers to be safe and leave time to move but requiring a 2 day rental for an hour and half drive is unnecessary.

Very disappointed by the front desk person. Did not help how the online returning system works. Told me to go back to the truck and get the mileage and gas meter, which I never had done. I just drop off the key outside and left. She was just sitting on her desk and looking at her phone.

The app sucks. I wasn't able to use it for the checkout process because my image would not upload. I was also unable to use it for the return process for the same reason. On the return I took a picture of the odometer at least 10 times before giving up and turning it in in the office.

This women was extremely rude unhelpful gave me so much anxiety and made my moving day so much worse with her attitude and not being understanding of someone's situation then notes in my account that I started off being rude and I was just rude to deal with the whole time. When she is the one that started the attitude first when all I did was ask questions. Sorry for having anxiety and panics attacks ma'am but when you call someone and give them that information it's going to effect them and possibly send them into an attack be more understanding of everyone's situation

Provide staff who do not rip off the customer by charging fees that are not warranted. Truck was cleaned prior to drop off, and was still charged cleaning fee. Photograph of fuel level at 1/2 upon pickup in North Branch, paperwork showed 5/8. Made sure to advise drop off point person of this.... brought truck back with a little over 1/2 tank was still charged for fuel I did not have upon pickup.
