Your location was too far from me. Your employees seem to find it funny that my appointment was at 9am at Internet Plaza location, 10810 Internet Pl, Bradenton, FL 34211 Â· ~1.6 mi. I still got the screenshot confirmation stating that this is when/where the appointment was to be. I get to the location and ask to extend my appointment time until about 11am, they said this is going to be okay. When I return to the U-haul location they said my appointment is at another location. 7750 Lockwood Ridge Rd, Sarasota, FL 34243 Â· ~7.5 mi I did not feel like I had adequate time with the uhaul vehicle due to the fact of me needing to find new friends to load a super heavy SNAP-ON tool box, (which is for sale, for 15k 941 896 0066) if anybody wants to view. I just felt as if I was given the run around the counter by these guys and girls at internet plaza, the counter fellow at the lockwood location was adequate and understanding. Hope all goes well. Every time we rent a UHaul, they tailgate has a lock for us to secure our dolly and furniture when needed. We realized after loading our UHaul that no lock was included and we had no way to secure the back. For the 30min or so we were away from the UHaul, the dolly was taken from the truck. Presumably we will be charged for this misfortune. Please consider providing locks for customers already paying extra to rent blankets and equipment in the future to avoid this.Nicholas E.

Hello, I rented a 26' U-Haul Truck, the pick-up time in Sebring, FL was 9 am on June 20th. Dropped off in Bradenton, FL at 10 am on June 21st. The truck was filthy, tons of mulch, wood, debris and spiders, plus the appliance dolly wheels were shot. I returned the Truck with more gas than I picked it up with. I asked the Storage Rep if he wanted to check the fuel, truck and cleanliness, he declined. I specially asked if there would be any additional charges, he replied, no you are all good and paid up. He indicated that he would email me the receipt. An hour later he sent me an additional charge for an extra day. I shouldn't be charged an extra day, I turned in the truck with plenty of fuel and I cleaned it all out even though it was dirty when I picked it up. The vehicle is old, over 135,000 miles. The door was extremely heavy to open and close. It drove like a tank loud and time to put to pasture. Also, to top it all off, it leaked after a rain and got our things wet! Really disappointed in the vehicle. Expected better quality from U-Haul.Margaret S.

Originally quoted $29 day/.79 per mile for local use 7 miles away. Instead spent 2 hrs with my car to pick up truck 52 miles away, charged $116 as a one way trip and added $29 of fuel plus my car fuel about $20. That is $165 in expenses for what should have been about a $55 charge. The dealers are not at fault, corporate is! I spent $165 basically moving your unit from Sarasota to Port Charlotte. I request a refund of $100. This seems like a bait and switch designed to extract more $$ from an unsuspecting consumer. The gentleman that checked us in in Sarasota was great. Professional, personable and diligent. The truck however smelled of cigarette smoke. We have rented two trucks in the last couple weeks and both smelled like cigarette smoke. Not happy about that. It lingers into my clothes. It does bother me also that you give 52 miles for the trip considering There were 9 U-Haul dealers closer than the one I had to go to to get a truck and you give no extra miles? The U-Haul I dropped off at was only 6 miles away from our house. However, it was 49 miles from the dealer to our house. However, as I stated previously, your employee was very good and the drop off seemed smooth.Frank B.

Agent did not come out and go over the truck operation with me before I took off. That would have been helpful as it took me awhile to figure out that there was a yellow light that associated with a trailer. I was very upset as I found out late at night the day before I was picking up my reserved truck that that size I reserved was not available nor were the 2 dozen furniture pads available. I was told that calls were made to me earlier in the day but was NOT left a voicemail, no email. It's wasn't until after 7pm that I received a text about this. The move took me a lot longer due to the smaller truck and not having furniture pads â€œBlankets made loading challenging not to damage my belongings. Appreciate the $50 credit to my account. Really appreciated when I returned the truck to Compass Self Storage that the manager Fred Martell was so apologetic and very sweet. In the future I will book straight they to himCeleste B.

Excellent in every phase. Gentleman on the phone was particularly patient.He had to wait while I found my purse to get my credit card, then had to wait until i found my glasses to read it!! He just laughed with me! I did observe a strange icon on the lower right corner and looked for a manual but did not find any. I only had 3 miles to go so proceeded. I reported it to the owners. Perhaps a card in the glove compartment-store with possible icons would be advantageous,.Delores P.
