The guy taking care of my rental did not go to the trailer with me. The trailer was not clean. I had to lift the 6' x 12' trailer myself to hook up. This is poor service.Shawn A.

Your website was a horrible experience to use. Your customer service was a complete nightmare. As a result I had to wait almost an hour to finally get my truck. I lost an hour of truck rental time and I had to pay my movers for an hours time while they sat waiting for me to pick up the truck due to your poor customer service. We reserved a 5 x 8 trailer. We called the location the day before our scheduled pick up to confirm if the trailer was already there and if it could be picked up a couple of hours before our scheduled time the next day. They confirmed the trailer was there and we could pick it up anytime the next day. When we arrived we were told that the trailer was not there, they didn't have a 5x8 and that all they had was a 4x8. We didn't have a choice but to take the 4x8, which when we got it home we saw that it was dirty. The inside of the trailer was covered in dirt, there was an empty package of paprika on the floor and dirt all over the trailer. We returned the trailer exactly as we got it and then we were charged $15 for cleaning. Horrible experience all the way around.Mark L.

You do have to hook up trailer by yourself but was not a problem. You will need a light wire extension to reach trailer plug. Overall no complaints.Kenneth M.
The salesperson I had was less than helpful. After checking in and filling gout the paperwork, he was done with me. He wouldn't help me find the trailer. It was not where he said it should be. He actually told me it wasn't his problem. I had to find another person to help me find it.Stephen S.

The service here was frustrating an unprofessional. I reserved a truck for 7:30 AM and was not helped until 8:20 AM. I also confirmed that we would be able to drop off the truck in College Station and was assured that the right steps were in place to do so. Upon trying to drop it in College Station I was told that the pick up location did not do what they were supposed to do in order to make that happen. It was incredibly frustrating that we had to rearrange our whole weekend due to the poor communication and inability to properly direct me in how to navigate this situation. I will not be using UHaul in the future and will not be recommending the company to anyone.Annelise M.

The size vehicle I had rented was not available as promised. Would be nice to know in advance that I would be getting a different vehicle. I had also order furniture pass and they were out. They were very apologetic and tried to help as much as possible.Brad H.

Had to find trailer myself. One safety chain was damaged. Worker said one chain was good enough, not true. Over an hour to get checked in, then no help for hook up. Only given 6 pads instead of 12. Worker told me to hurry up and follow him for pads and showing me where trailers were located.Shawn R.

The girl behind the counter did not know how to use the software. She had me come behind the counter to help her with it. She said the guy who does the uhaul was on vacation. The guy that hooked me up did not know how to do it. As I was pulling onto the freeway the trailer came off. The hitch was not fastened to the receiver ball. A couple Of men who were driving a truck pulled over and retrieved the trailer and put it on correctly. I was then set to drive again. Thank goodness for their kindness. My light adapter was damaged as well.Sandra D.
We scheduled a drop off in Sealy which is close to Bellville but the man at the uhaul place said he would not take the truck so we had to drive to Columbus. A horrible experience. I hope we never have to deal with uhaul again!James W.

This was the first time for me to pick up a trailer. I went by myself, thinking I would be okay. After my paperwork was printed out, the guy circled my trailer number on the paperwork and all by tossed the paperwork at me and told me to go get the trailer and I could go. No offer to help or anything. So I go outside to locate my 6x12 trailer, no help backing up, no help lifting the trailer. I went back inside the location to where both employees were behind the counter, when I asked for some help, the lady hit the guy on the shoulder stating â€œsee I told youâ€. When the guy finally came outside to help, he didn't even know how to hook up the trailer!! Absolutely no idea!!STACY M.

They did not know what they were doing to get me started. We rented an auto transport, they did not show us anything on how to load, etc.Sandra D.
First this was not my original pick up my first pick up was in Flatonia, TX- which when I went get the truck the person in charge decides he wants to take a vacation day and no was there to give me keys to the truck then I find at I am suppose to the 24/7 which had no clue to had to check express. Then express check in would not work so that I get a code. after on the phone for two hours Then uhaul had to send me to Columbus which was over and 45 minutes out of my way to go pick up a truch. After spending two hours at Flatonia and not able to pick up truck in Flatonia they have to send me to Alleyton which was 45 minutes away. With all this problem you give me more miles which I didn't even use and only a $50.00 credit on my bill, which to me is not acceptable. With the hours wasted and trying to pick up a truck Then the Columbus location they had a problem they charged me for 24 furniture mats but after they billed me and it charged my credit card they only had 4 furniture mats - then I had to get on the phone again U-Haul and wait on the phone finally had to get a credit for furniture mats. Very frustrating and sitting on hold for hours and when it all said and done you give me a $50.00. Not a very good experience and hopefully I don't need to move anytime soon. thank youmichelle S.

Got to Columbus Mart on time. The guy at the counter spoke very broken English and I could not understand him at all. A second guy show up. His English is some better. Nobody has a name on their shirt for reference. The second guy gets my credit card and drivers license. He claims that the computer will not allow him to print out the necessary paperwork. Then a guy who identifies himself as the â€œmanagerâ€ shows up, a Mr. M D Kahlil. He likewise clams the computer will not allow him to print out the paperwork and tries to give me the key to the truck without documentation. I refused that because I would have no proof that I had the right to possess the truck. Finally he starts hand writing what he said to be the documentation. At that time I asked that the entire transaction be cancelled. He then gave me back my credit card and drivers license. After an hour at Columbus Mart with extremely poor air conditioning I left with a $190 charge on my credit card. Was not a good experience. I have been thru a lot of U Haul experiences, many not pleasant. But this certainly ranks with the worst.Carl W.

We had an issue. I was taking a trailer FROM AZ location, picking up a car in Texas, and returning to AZ with it. The deal on the car fell through when we got there. I didn't want to drag an empty trailer back if I didn't need to so I stopped into this Texas location and they said no problem. Leave it out there. Gave me no paperwork and no inspection. I though this creepy so I called my original location. They forwarded me to the main offices. They said nothing was in computer that I turned anything in. I kept the main office on phone and went in. The people operating this location were all (Arabian or something. I'm NOT at all racist. Just advising because communication was absurd). It ended up th only one that could speak English DECENTLY was working the Taco Bell drive through. He was highly upset we had to drag him away from doing this. Throughout the process he kept trying to say"ok all done" and trying to go back to the drive through. I kept insisting I'm not ending this until I have a document in hand showing I left the trailer. The lady at main office was GREAT and kept working through it. She had to keep talking the guy through the process and he WAS NOT HAPPY about this. In the end, U haul the company went way over board to help and waived the extra fee usually applied for leaving trailer in a location not originally contracted for. THANK YOU!!!!!!!! BUT, the people at that TEXAS location were HORRIBLE! If I had done things the way they kept TRYING to get me to do it I would have left trailer in Texas with NO documents or proof I left it with Uhaul. I'm quite sure Uhaul would then have come after me for the cost of the whole trailer. CRAZY experiance. Thank you for listening! ChrisCHRIS G.

The reservation was made online. When I went to pick up the equipment, my reservation showed for a town 40 miles away. Even though, I specified the location I wanted to use for pick up and the specific # on the equipment. While I was picking up the equipment, the location from 40 miles away called to verify my reservation. The representative at the 40 mile away location took care of the mishap. This should have never been a mishap, when I took the time to give such specific information during the reservation.Angela H.

Very convenient location with convenient hours. They are a new U-Haul dealer and we understand they have a lot to learn such as accurately making note of the correct mileage on the truck and learning how to reverse an erroneous charge for the wrong type of dolly. We ordered a utility dolly, were offered an appliance dolly, but denied it.Rodney Z.

Location is part of a gas station and clerk receiving the truck at 6:00 am was really not qualified nor did he appear to understand the checkin procedure, I ended up being charged an additional $14 for I'm not sure what because he never really looked at anything. But I received the receipt from UHaul later in the day. Much different than any other UHaul drop off location.Lu C.
