The Uhaul rental was literally the worst experience I have ever had. Due to your errors and negligence I am out of pocket over $500 and plan to call head office to discuss

It took 1 hour to get my vehicle and I charged and cancelled a different cost without my knowledge. They didn't have my allowed kilometres on file and I had to call to verify. The vehicle had bad tires and I was slipping the whole way
VICTOR TNot because of the people who run it it's the system saying that there was a truck there that wasn't wanted me to drive a distance to get one witch I would have to pay for mileage and return it back to that location so I had to pay for a bigger one and said they had blankets witch they didn't?

MICHELLEN EI did not have any problems at your location, the problem I had was how much I had to drive to pick up the truck, and it was not the one I required, since they changed the pick up location and ten minutes before the reserved time they called to say they did not have the 26" truck, I had to make this other reservation on my own and the truck was another 20 minutes further from the second point, in total I had to drive 1 more hour thanks to the fact that they canceled my original reservation, not counting the gasoline and the cost per mile that they charged me to the account due to their lack of responsibility towards customers, my complaint is towards your corporate and its poor service, not towards the distributors who only facilitate the deliveries.
Eduardo RUhaul employee not on site both at pickup and return. Caused us a 30 minute delay trying to get hold of them. Only gas attendant who had zero knowledge or time for the rental. Brutal.
Rick HDon't make me click through 10 screens offering addi-ons Put them all on one page that default to "no thanks" Dont default to including g dolly and blankets. I missed it last time and it took me 3 calls over 2 days to get credit. Dealer said he couldn't fix it on checkout since I used the app to book. That tells me to never use the app.

Cynthia BFaster check in service. I had to wait a while to get it all dealt with. Then the card I was using they said the machine wasn't working so we had to take cash out. Which made that a pain in the butt when we returned it. Now we have to wait however long for the deposit to be mailed out.
Amber AAdditonally, when we picked up the truck, it as 9/16 full. We returned it in this condieiton but were additionally charged for a full fill up - the records indiciate it was returned close to empty and this was not the case. We literally filled it up to over half full at the gas stations where we returned it. I am not pleased with the overall service. We were told everything was good. and were not informed of additional fees.

Jamie KEven though it was in the countryside, it was convenient because there was a drop-off location nearby when returning the rented car. However, I was confused because the website was not well connected. Even if you make a reservation on the website, you still have to confirm by phone....
Young HClerk had no idea what I was doing when dropping off the keys. Very unaware of drop off protocols. Was left feeling leery about giving keys to someone who didn't know what to do with them. There was no visible drop box to leave them in as instructed online
Caitlin JVery unprofessional uhaul person was not on site and spoke with on phone. Very difficult to understand through a speaker phone. Uhaul promised me a discount as they moved my pick up location 1 hour away as they gave my uhaul away. Don't recommend uhaul.

john rWe did online check in but no place to pickup keys outside. We went in store and he did a whole new reservation in computer. Took way too long as he was helping customers with gas etc. I dont know what benefit was of doing everything online was only for him to do it all over again. When we returned they took keys and said nothing else.

Leigh GI made the booking for this location and when I showed up to pick up the trailer, the person at the gas bar was not able to help me. He had to phone somebody else and he said the vehicle wasn't available for me. He said there was a mixup on the vehicle rental location and I would have to come back in an hour to get the vehicle. When I came back an hour later to get the vehicle, there is a big problem with trying to change my booking to that location ended up being another hour and a half before I ended up leaving , the person who helped me said they would compensate me for this by charging me a lower rate when I came back with the trailer afterwards he said he couldn't change the rate but he would get someone else to change it. I contacted numerous times to get the refund and it still wasn't done , he won't answer my call or text now. Very poor service. I would not recommend this location.

janite mThe employee at the gas bar was very polite, he directed me where to park. The vehicle told me to come in to drop off the keys. He was very punctual and let me know that somebody would be by tomorrow to check the vehicle over. Recommendations. I would make to U-Haul is that they have no communication when it comes to customer service. I talked to multiple people and was promised all of these empty promises. Unlimited, mileage, discounted rate, etc..
Christopher REverything was excellent. Tires, lights, overall workings of the trailer we rented but there was a leak in the roof. Nothing too serious but I couldn't find out where the water was coming in so they probably didn't know about it.

Dan HTwice I've been disappointed by this location. Staff are not there and need to be called despite having a reservation. 20 minutes of waiting for them to show up. Then they charged me for insurance without asking. I did not sign anything. No pictures taken of the trailer hook up. This location is a stain on the uHaul reputation.
Justin Vget this location a better computer for u-haul business...takes a long time to set up a transaction as it is antiquated and super slow ,,if they cannot access your pages they can't provide the services needed !! The employees are trying their best with sub-par equipment and apologize for the time taken to process a rental !!

Ingrid MService at location was great. U-haul changing my pick-up location to a different town was not. If a truck is not available at a location requested there should not be an option to book at that location. If you are booked for a location U-haul should make sure the equipment you requested is available at that location and not make you drive 25 min to a different town to pick up your truck. This is not good customer service from U-haul.

CLAUDEV BI was suppose to pick up in cobourg and then that vehicle was stolen so they sent me to colborne and the guy in colborne couldn't get anything right. It took me almost an hour to get the truck and I was already unhappy that I had to drive to colborne which set me back an hour. SO annoying!!! Kim

CLAUDE BManager was very helpful in accommodating my pickup. I booked a virtual pickup before available hours and when I arrived and signed on to my booking it indicated physical handoff only. The manager facilitated my pickup off hours which was a great relief. The vehicle did have some garbage from a prior rental in the cab but was otherwise clean.
ROBERT HAgain, online check out didn't work because it wouldn't let me submit a picture. Defeats the purpose if you need to get the employee to do it for you.

Philip FI rented a enclosed trailer, there was No help to hook it up to the truck , owner came out to look once it was already done. When returned I was charged a extra $40 then original told do to a "safe tow" that I did not want do to the trailer I rented was used mostly for storage at cottage for 4 days. Was a horrible rental experience, I will never use that location again.

Thaya BGood location. Just a little concerned with mask wearing by the staff. Employee on pick up did not have a mask on in the store although he was behind plexiglass barrier throughout. On return when he met us outside was wearing mask but not properly over entire mouth and nose.
Rick FLack of trailer lifting jack (tongue jack) attached to the 6x12 Cargo Trailer weights 1920 lbs Upon arriving, to pick the Trailer licence plate D084047MI I noticed that there was no tongue jack attached to the trailer and not portable lifting jack was offered by the U-HAUL personnel or any other help to deal with hitching my car. 2 bystanders helped me with hitching Upon returning the trailer the attendant didn't have a portable jack to un-hitch my trailer, he advised me to use nearby rocks to elevate the tongue of the trailer. No other help was offered. I spent over an hour struggling to un-hitch my car using rocks and a crowbar. I strained my back and my wrist in the process.
Wojciech LYet another extremely disappointing experience with U-Haul. If there was another place to rent a trailer I would. This is the first time at this location. Thay did not have the actual trailer I wanted within a 2 hr drive from me as usual. So I had to go with the larger heavier trailer and drive 40 min to get it. So of course had to rent it for longer period which cost more for both the trailer and for gas. Went to pick up the 6 x 12 trailer which this time was there for a change. Hooked it all up to the truck. Did a look over of the trailer which was pretty beat up. Opened the rear door to look inside and it would not close again! Roof of the trailer had caved and the door shifted off of the tracks. Had to spend another 1 hr in the store to get a refund and get another trailer I did not want in the first place. You never get an apology or any thing at all. I do have to say that U-Haul does live up to my expectations which are extremely low.

CLAUDE BOnly half of the pictures of the truck were showing on the app for the conformation of condition of the truck. Take lots of your own pics just in case. I had ordered 1 dozen of moving blankets and received only 9 when I asked for the other 3 he said he only charged me for 6 but gave me 9. When I said I was going to contact U-Haul because I'm sure they don't rent by 6 only by the dozen he gave me the other 3 and said no extra charge.

bruce cThe Colburn location we're not willing to accept the stuff that was wrong with it before I left they wouldn't document if they said I had insurance they had all kinds of issues power steering rear tire gasket in the front window no air conditioner quite a horrible experience door handle was broken I actually have a handicap and I need to hold on to things and when I go to get over to the U-Haul trailer the whole handle it go and I fell out of the trailer hit my head and landed on the ground that place should not have allowed that truck to leave their lot I was quoted $60 for my insurance for the travel when I was at that location they charged me a hundred and five it did not have the power required to do what I needed to do I was supposed to be getting the V10 Triton I ended up getting the 8-cylinder which was only good for 20,000 and I was supposed to have 25,000

charlotte sThe left side turn signal/brake light wouldn't work. The truck pulling this trailer had less than 2,000 km on it, so it wasn't a truck malfunction. There was one brake light, one tail light, and one license plate light, so it was legal to use.
Craig JThe area for parking the trailer is a little tight. If you have a large truck as I do then the other U-Haul trucks are very close and it is difficult to replace the trailer at the end of the rental.
JOHN LAbsolute worst service I have ever received. Attendants were rude to every single customer they interacted with during the HOUR I spent just dropping the vehicle off. They were aggressive, tried to charge me the replacement cost of the equipment I had ordered but never received in the first place. Told me they were doing me a favor by not just charging my credit card that they could do without my consent although I offered to call the pick up location and verified I never received the items to begin with. Yelled at me and told me I was wrong when I should him my email box to show I never received a receipt upon pick up. At one point the man spent a full 25 mins just standing there not saying a word to me and then gave me a hard time for being anyone way drop off and that I hadn't picked a vehicle up from their location. If I require a U-Haul again I will go out of my way to avoid this location. I highly recommend you look into finding an alternative location in the area. After speaking to others who live in the area they have said they have also had nothing but awful interactions will the staff at this store.
