The attendant who checked me out/ returning truck.. he ricked of alcohol and he started truck up and pressed down on gas peddle for 15-20 minutes until my nephew went to ask why he was doing that. He was falling a sleep while stepping in the gas. He then tried to charge me over 150 dollars The attendant James I believe was his name was outstanding with his customer service

BELINDA RShowed up at 8:57am on Saturday morning to return the truck. Went inside to speak to the representative, handed the keys to the representative and he went to check the mileage. Then spent the next 15+ minutes waiting for them to figure out their system, what should have been a quick turn around was an absolute nightmare. The two shop owners were completely incompetent, the gentleman checked the mileage twice and outside of just asking if we used more mileage, which we did and knew we did, they spoke to each other for the entire time in their native tongue, I would like to point out not at all part of my issue, and never just asked about the mileage. It was the most painful customer service interaction I've ever had and I work in customer service. They either need to be trained or lose their franchise to u-haul.

Vaughn Mthis specific location was great and helpful despite the issues with my preferred drop off location. I arrived at my assigned drop off location (Stockton charter way) on time to return the vehicle. The location was full and had sent messages to headquarters the previous day, asking for my preferred location to be changed. Headquarters did not send me any information, therefore when I arrived at Charter way, they would not accept my truck. 8th St was the next closest location, however because my account didn't show up in their system, by the time HQ switched everything over, I was charged an extra $60 (one day rental), despite it being a mix-up at uhaul. The staff at 8th st was helpful and friendly, but uhaul's return process was messy, took longer then expected and ultimately, as the customer, I paid the price. This experience of rental returns was poor overall, but not due to 8th street's services.
Julia HI ended up being charged $140.00 to rent a truck for one day. I was physically assaulted by an employee when I went back to complain.

gurbir aYour Employees there are Getto, the Philipino one that rented me the U-Haul said the truck had 3/4tank of gas, when I got in it there was no gas,it was on eplornimous.emty.the white employee came up to me and asked me if I had paper work for the truck,I handed him my paper work and as he was leaving I asked him to look at the gas hand.he said that's not right,he mediately said I'll call my boss,he did & his supervisor said we have to charge him for it.,in witch he was verifying that it was not right.so All I want is my money back on my card for as the Philipino said, falling to put the gas hand back where it was.but I put it back to where it was when I got it. All you have to do is check out the milage and you can planely see that I'm right.it was empty when I received the truck.thank you very much, I have never had a problem with any U-Haul company ever.(please return my cash.)(sincerely William H.Mitchell sr.)

Matthew PThe gas level is under the personal location mark and i take a picture and show the guy before leave the location he said fill and back with the same level im drive the truck just 15 miles and i fill 3 gallons of gas when the im leave the truck in the location the personal change and them said is underlevel of the contract im explain and show the picture in my phone and dosen't recognize my true ,so them charge me 28 dollars more on my Credit card and is not fair

I was told that I would have to pay for that truck & rent another It's not my fault that they are not inspecting vehicles I feel like I should get a refund. A senior citizen being taken advantage of

CARLOS GWe were given a reservation and on the day of us picking up our uhaul to move to another state we were told morning of! that the truck was dropped off at a further away location which ruined the start of our move. Then we were told that the drop off would be left to be on an open contract to drop off at any uhaul but that also was not the case. We received an email saying if we didn't take it to a specific location which was also out of the way , that we would be charged fees. Very disappointed in the comply and the unhelpful workers.

However, the only issue to improve on is having more staff available as to not have long wait times for an employee to clock-in and handle the return of the rental and ensure that all staff knows how to handle the rental from beginning to end. Thank you for having great customer service and explaining things in detail to make sure there were no issues or misunderstandings.
MARCUS KMy reservation was changed a few hours before it was scheduled to begin. I had already planned all of the logistics as far as what time to leave when the help should arrive and so on. You switching it last minute negatively affected my plans and was not in line with the original agreement I made. I'll never use U-Haul again.
