The connector to the trailer hitch was defective and the trailer disconnected at highway speed damaging the safety chain connector on my truck. This was not the fault of the rental person

This truck was filthy when I picked it up. The cab smelled awful and was made worse by the air freshener that seemed to have been sprayed in there to mask the other odors. The truck box was also dirty. Good thing I was not moving any nice furniture. Lastly I am given the truck with less than an 1/8 of a tank of gas so before I can do anything I have to go put gas in it. Finally I was charged $150 cleaning fee to remove a pallet and some 2x4’s when the sign in the truck says it’s $25. The cleaning fee was more than the truck rental. This is the second filthy truck I was rented by this location. I bet after the $150 cleaning fee this truck is as dirty and smelly as ever.

The drop-off location is a perfectly good business, although the U-Haul storage area is basically just a dirt yard.

Let the customer drop it where its convenient for the customer and not direct us to drop in South Hampton when the destination was in Moriches. Other than that easy, clean, convenient, safe, affordable, etc Hi Josephine, Hi Joanne, Hi Gina, Hi Gary.

the app is a good idea but without very good wifi or cell service its useless and keeps dropping you out of the process.

The location was nice enough to deal with but I requested a rental in Riverhead NY. There was no mention of Southampton until I called the day prior to learn the address. That was a considerable further distance with ridiculous traffic. Your website is horrendous.

Be sure that the extra items are in the truck the first time so that I do not have to go back and pick them up. Inspect the equipment for cleanliness before the next renter picks it up.

I had a terrible experience with the new Uhaul app and website dependency, not the location. It was suggested I use the app to make a reservation for a sunday pickup which I did and then could not access the key when needed as U-Haul "could not determine my location" when i was right there with location working fine on my phone. I spent and hour and half on phone with customer service and Nothing could be done and my whole evening move needed to be cancelled as I could not get the truck! Then I returned the next day and reserved again in person (again fine) and then the new 'sending images by phone' as a requirement to pickup does not work. You cannot see detail of images on phone and uploading new images would not work or send, errors and timed out again. This cannot be required as it does not work.
