I did not have the blankets and dolly that I ordered. My pickup was moved to this location (not my choice) and I picked up the truck before the facility opened. I was stuck with this inconvenience and the site owner was discourteous on this when I returned the truck.

I had a really hard time to find a location near to me that will actually be opened when I was off work.. but luckily I found the website and it allowed me to pay and insert my information and it was so easy to access the key, i am so relieved. Thank you U-Haul you are the best.

I had the absolute worst experience with a company of my life. Moving is already stressful enough. I cannot believe how a member of the uhaul family treated me. I will absolutely be sharing my experience with people. This is completely unacceptable. I made a reservation several days in advance. When I went to pick up my truck, the person working informed me that the keys were lost and he was unable to release the truck to me. An hour and a half after my reservation, he got me to another location and assured me that I would have a truck and that I would receive a discount due to the inconvenience. I was quoted at 29 cents a mile and $29.99 for the truck. I was good with that and appreciative of how accommodating that man was. He was working alone on a very busy day and I thought he was doing a great job. When I got to the other location, the man working there was nothing shy of HORRIBLE. He ignored us for the first 7 minutes we were there, despite us coming and asking if he was working the shop. He couldn’t be taken away from his phone. When he finally came into the store where we were patiently waiting, he was very rude and barely made eye contact. He had monster trucks on one of his many televisions and he found that much more captivating than the business we were desperately trying to make. When we informed him of the mishap at the other store and that it was in the notes that we were to be given a discount, he refused and said there was absolutely no way he would honor that. We told him that we we needed our truck and that we were already behind schedule and he said it was never our truck to begin with and he exited the store. I tried to call the original store to get it sorted out, but I just remained on hold due to the understaffing of the location. When the rude man returned, 10 minutes later, we had no choice but to follow his wishes. We were incredibly behind schedule at this point and had foolishly relied on a company that we thought was dependable. We paid what he was demanding and left to try to fit everything in to the greatly shortened window. When we went to return the truck, the lights were all off and I was worried that the store was closed. I tried the door just to be safe, and it was open. I then saw that the man was asleep on a recliner!!!!!! I had to wake him in order to complete my rental transaction! Hopefully this experience is concerning to somebody at this company and measures are are taken to rectify this situation.

Customer service was horrible. Greeted with “oh no another drop off” .. “we can’t take your truck” 4 employees and not one had another solution but to make me take my truck to another location and how it is “traffics fault”. This was very inconvenient due to we were on a schedule and had a meeting to attend.

The person who delivered by u-box to the pick up location charged me $20 more than I was told it would be. The lock on the u-box was not secured properly and didn't align for me to place my padlock on, so I had to go to the store to buy a different kind of lock. The reservation kept getting changed in the background including the delivery date with my movers without consent or talking with me. I got an email that said my box would arrive Aug 2 and be delivered Aug 3, but I paid for it to arrive July 30 and be delivered July 31. I had to call the u-haul location in Charlotte to see if my box was there or not because I got conflicting information via email and on the website (which said it was delivered July 27). Then, the Moving Helpers arrived only to realize U-Haul loaded the box backwards onto the trailer making it so that the door could only be opened halfway resulting in a few of my items getting scratched and dented in order to get them out. Additionally, when the box arrived, the lock was broken (no longer screwed into the box). I am very unsatisfied with my experience with U-Haul.

Drop off location was closed. I waited and no one came, I then called U-Hauls customer help line and ended up waiting on the phone for over 25 minutes. I then heard about an app and tried that, but it also does not work. So I decided to return it at a different location and they too were HORRIBLE!! Customer service was very very bad. Long line of people waiting and only one person behind the counter working.

It would help in the chaos of moving for U-haul to go over itemized costs both before and after the transaction. This helps the customer with budgeting. High marks to Mr. Cox for being flexible in releasing the truck early to get ahead of major outbound traffic. The truck operated well save for the fact that the automatic first gear ended at 30mph. To get 7 mph per mile is a very inefficient engine for a 26ft truck.

Change the phrasing about where the lock box is for the 24/7 pickup. The phrasing "black lock box next to the front door" makes me think it's next to the front door of the truck, not the facility. It isn't a massive deal but it would save your future customers a few minutes of confusion.

Guy behind the counter has serious issues or maybe his medication(Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde) was not working,or maybe he was upset to be working alone and no help, I don't know . All I know is I would never treat my customer the way I was treated. Facts. 1. No privacy, I had to shout to him my reservation information why he worked on another customers vehicle. 2. He refused to answer simple questions, rather tried to play a game of it my way or no truck rental. 3. He expect me to sign the van pre-existing damage paper(because he claims it's brand new) without reviewing the van and clearly there was over 5K mileage present . 4. The van rented was filthy. From pet hairs on the seats, to spilled food and drink stains on the floor, the cargo compartment had trash in it, the door holders had drink cups and rubbish not removed. 5. Post review, I walked back in and brought in the trash in the van as proof of the van condition, he laughed at me and said "oh you want to be like that" then said he can clean it out. I refused and said I would return it clean. 6. All tires were low on air, I stopped and filled up. 7. As I walked out he said comments to me of, "Be nice, and something else." I walked away in shock and disbelief since he was the one with the attitude issue from the start, and I remained silent through the entire time after walking in with the damage paper. 8. Upon return of the van, he acts like nothing happened. He said leave me your key, I'll email the bill. I said, "I will wait" three times, finally he shouting over another customer-stops asking me. He then runs out to the van, run back in, prints out my final receipt and says, Thank you, my friend. Wow. So either he's complete jerk, or his medications kicked on few hours later, or you can fill in the blanks. I don't think I've seen this behavior from small dealers ever, since they're business owners and their reputation is everything. Bottom line, I just walked away knowing- don't return to this site and definitely be careful, if a female was to go there. I did not see safety at all. The online representative was awesome, making this reservation though. 5 out of 5 for her.

After initial hookup of tow dolly, I checked out flashers, blinkers, brake lts, etc Everything checked out fine. Weather conditions heavy rain off and on all day. I headed out to pick up my car that had broke down, hit a couple of normal bumps in the road, went to turn right, my right blinker didn't work, hmmm, went to take a left, my left blinker didn't work, hmmm, hmmm,. I got onto the highway, and my left blinker still didn't work, so I pulled off to shoulder, went to put on emergency flashers and they didn't work. A police officer pulled in behind me and said he was going to pull me over for inproper lane change any no trailer lts. I explained I had just picked up rental and was having an issue with trailer, we checked out connections on trailer hookup everything looked fine. I called facility a couple of times where I rented equipment, no answer. I got to my broke down vehicle, towed it home, where I checked out my truck I was towing with and found 2 blown fuses, replaced fuses, they blew again, tried to call again, no answer. Towed tow dolly back to facility but they had closed early. After unhooking tow dolly I replaced fuses again, my trucks blinkers, flashers, etc worked fine except my theft light started flashing, afters troubleshooting, I found that my PCM RELAY (powertrain control relay) had also been affected Bottom line there is a short in trailer harness and caused a lot of trouble with my electrical system.

Stop telling dusters they have to pay a deposit and it is refundable when it is not. I have been waiting on a $200 deposit since March 25th and nothing yet. Spoke to Corp office and was told to wait a few more days and still nothing. Will never rent a uhaul from your company again. Enterprise will have my service

On Saturday March 30, 2019 my reservation was cancelled by the office of Uhaul Moving and Storage of West End 3133 E Parham Rd Henrico, VA without a courtesy call, email, or text message and i was highly upset at the lack of communication. This caused me to be late for my job and created time issues for my client and workers due to starting late. I am a returning customer to that location and use their services about 3 or more times a week. Someone needs to look into their office management techniques. Cynthia and Aaron go above and beyond to make our customer service perfect and they keep their equipment lot and showroom in perfect condition for customers. It's a shame that their overseers don't do the same.
