I am 52 and have a back condition. I met three Ace workers at the store and asked for help removing the heavy trailer from vehicle. They told me "we don't do that at this store", so I would have to detach it myself. I explained I knew HOW to do it, but it would be too heavy. I even showed a young woman my back brace. Anyway, I got it off but it hurt me a lot and I won't be using Uhaul again.

MARK NI was scammed, took a truck on 22nd at 15.25 hrs and returned it on 23rd at 15.16hrs, so opted for receipt through email, getting home I noticed they charged utility fee $15 for a day times 2 total $30, and rental $49.5 per day times 2 for $99. Broad day light robbery.

KENT BRented a appliance dolly & the strap didn't work so it was useless. I asked for a refund for the dolly but the kids at the uhaul location said they "had to charge me for the dolly because I took it with me" and to "reach out to uhaul to see about a refund. This is completely unacceptable! I showed the kid that the dolly doesn't work so why couldn't he just not charge me for it? So because they don't maintain or understand how the equipment they're in charge of works, it's my responsibility to reach out to someone I haven't dealt with for a refund!? This isn't a very good way of doing business, in my opinion. In case someone actually reads this and is actually going to refund me, my rental contract number is 25507745. Oh and this kid also tried charging me for gas because he claimed that I brought the truck back not fueled up. However, I did exactly what the kid told me to do when I picked up the rental... "Fill the gas up back to where it is now", which was about 5/8 full. I even took a pic of the gas gauge before I left so I knew where to fill it back up to. After showing him the pic and stating what his coworker told me to do, he eventually took off the gas charge. This entire experience was bad! So we'll see what happens and if someone actually reads this...

Daniel GIt wasn't the location that was the problem. The truck broke down, which happens, but the response to service was unacceptable. He was so close to at least 2 locations for UHaul and instead of swapping him out, they told him he had to wait 90 minutes for a repair man. He had a 5 year old little girl in the truck. No mention of Xtra time on the usage as well. He hustled to get the it back in time. Not a great situation when you are already in stress from moving.
Kenneth CHad a hard time finding the keys. They were in a lock box outside but they could not get into said box. They looked up the codes on the U-Haul system but those codes did not work. They tried to call U-Haul to get into the box but to no avail. They did upgrade me to a bigger and nicer truck so I was extremely happy. I was starting to get frustrated but the two ladies were extremely nice and kept apologizing. They also kept explaining to me what was going on and trying to offer solutions so I appreciated their customer service. If it were not for those two ladies I would have definitely given a MUCH lower rating.
eric POrdered a 26ft truck. Arrived to find we could only get a 20ft because the ONLY set of keys was with the previous renter. We then had to make more than one trip and waste valuable time with the paid movers that we had hired. Moving is stressful enough and it sure made the day much more stressful

DORIS RI ended up paying for cleaning that wasn't needed. I cleaned the truck I used. I wasn't told about a cleaning fee. Uhaul did this sort of thing the last time I used one your trucks.
Don LStaff did not completely understand how to fill out form for renting a trailer told me they had what I needed in a trailer and quoted me a price when I got there they said the trailer I wanted was booked and it was not available they said it would be about 30.00 it ended up being 100.00 for a larger trailer that I ended up renting. They mounted the trailer on my truck and on my way to drop it off it jumped off the hitch . They said that that the form for that trailer said that it was not recommended for my truck but it would work anyway.
john cHello, my name is Melissa we recently rented a truck. Beings that I made a reservation in advance I thought the truck would have been cleaned as well as have gas in it. Unfortunately it didn't get either before us. It took my fiancé almost 40 mins to shovel the snow out and off the vehicle. Also within the 40 mins an associate had to help us get the back open. Since we did make a reservation I feel like this stuff should have been done. This put us an hour behind in moving due to this.
Edward CAgain, I think more clear instructions on line that the drop off is at an Ace Hardware store. I wasn't sure where to park or where to go to return the keys. Once I got inside the store, the staff directed me, but initially I thought I pulled up to the wrong location/

Darryl KThe person running the counter allowed the person renting the uhaul before me to keep it longer than scheduled. My pickup was 2 and she told her it was ok to drop it off at 3 which put me behind schedule. As an improvement we should hold the service members as accountable as the customers

Wrong information given at originating Nevada location - the Canfield employees had to fix the mistake. Overall, U-Haul is a nightmare to work with and the whole experience was awful. What can you do to improve for the next customer? Fire CORPORATE owners and get people who understand how to manage truck inventory, schedule vehicles, have standardized pricing (with no surprises), and are actually committed to running a business that rents trucks!

WILLIAM RNobody from this location called me to provide the pickup information a day before as U-Haul promised. I had to call customer Service and learned this location had my truck. The I called this location, was told everything is ready including my rental pads. Then, the next day when I picked up the truck, the staff members told me no pads available. They did not know which staff member told me pads were ready. I asked why nobody called me about this. They said: we are just a pick up and drop off location, we are not responsible to communicate! WTF?! It was my moving day, I had to have pads. Thank God the U-Haul neighborhood dealership in another location at Canfield had enough pads. So, I would not recommend for this location at all! For any customer in Canfield, go to the neighborhood dealership, do not go through this one! Most horrible experience that I have ever had! U-Haul should terminate contract with this location!

Glenn RThe man who I dealt with in the morning was fantastic, however, when I brought the track back, the evening crew didn't want to deal with the return of the truck and told me just to go all the way around to the back of the building and put the keys in the after hours deposit. I had done this like they said, and then realized if I didn't go through an online return process, I was screwed. It was a hassle because the keys were already in the box and you need the keys to take pics of mileage and fuel. They could have at least told me I needed to go through this process BEFORE I PUT THE KEYS IN THE BOX.

LANCE WI used the online reservation. Needed to redo everything at location. Uhaul online registration does not work. Truck was covered with snow and not ready. Truck needs maintenance. Tires are bald. Shakes very bad at 35 mph.
